A Study on Coloring Game for the Education of Creativity in Children's Art (아동미술 창의성 교육을 위한 컬러링 게임 연구)

  • Education using smart mobile devices has become part of current children's art education activities. Today's release of pen-equipped mobile devices and smart tablet PC's allows users to painting and coloring with digital devices. Today, art content for children is downloaded and can be educated at any time as an application. However, coloring games that give children the effect of art education are extremely rare, and the content elements in the games are similar to all games and lack the ability to express themselves. The study recognizes the importance of developing coloring game content for children's art education that can help children's coloring activities and improve creativity and imagination, and focuses on the direction and elements of developing children's coloring game content using smart mobile devices that fit digital coloring functions.

  • This paper shows the need to study the commercialized color book game screen composition and manipulation interface type in order to enhance the utilization of the serious game mobile coloring book game, which is utilized from the learning of color sense in modern people and children to the hobby life of adults or old people. For the healing of modern people, we are going to look at the design configuration of game screen interfaces in simple and fun mobile coloring book games, and propose a new way to improve interface design that improves uncomfortable design by organizing and analyzing basic interface UI design types.

  • This paper was intended to present a way to incorporate Korean content and products of Korean brands into functional coloring games that color them for the continued development of digital hallyu at this time of the world's derivation, as shown by the Korean Wave, a word that means more and more people like Korean culture worldwide. For the development of the Korean digital convergence functional game industry that can solve users' leisure time, we will compare and analyze the advanced image cuts provided by coloring games that have been commercialized and serviced, and seek ways to utilize the image of Hallyu contents that are not provided in existing coloring games. In the image cuts used in functional coloring games, we will find ways to utilize differentiated Hallyu content image cuts and study and present the direction of development of aesthetic elements of coloring games. Research on Korean Wave content, which has made use of our own aesthetic elements, should continue, and functional games using digital mobile device devices and game content elements utilizing Korean images in the Korean game industry will help spread Korean pop culture and digital Hallyu.

Analyzing Types of Styling through Character Customization Games (캐릭터 커스터마이징 게임에 나타난 유형별 스타일링 분석)

  • The styles by character type in customizing systems were analyzed, being classified into creative style, attractive style, grotesque style, usual style, and suit style on the basis of the 'fashion style types of game characters' proposed in the previous research. The creative and convergent designs that couldn't be implemented in reality were expressed in various forms because those designs were created in virtual space, one feature of games. The analysis of the fashion styles of characters was focused on the RPG using the characters with exaggerated body proportions beyond the general body proportions in reality and the features on game characters that were identified by gamers. Thus, the creative style and attractive style showed a high frequency. The common features were identified because the costume designs and colors for characters are generally selected in accordance with the gamers' requests or by reflecting the view on the world. However, it was difficult to find out the representative cases for hair designs and colors because of excessively diverse expressions. The results of this paper will be a valuable reference for the research on the fashion item development manual satisfying the gamers' personalities and requests and relevant research.

A study on the Fabrication of Mixed Reality Content with Coloring Technology (컬러링기술이 적용된 혼합현실콘텐츠 제작에 대한 연구)

  • This paper is a study on the production of mixedeality contents by realizing AR coloring technology, virtual environment, and VR devices by realizing the interaction in virtual environment. In this study, we designed and produced the content from a fairy tale called 'Cinderella' to produce and demonstrate real mixed reality contents. 'Cinderella' shows 3D modeling in the virtual space using the Oculus Rift, and the modeled shoes can be lifted using Leap-Motion. It is a virtual augmented interaction content for exhibition and experience that can move a specific range from the foot on the treadmill. In this paper, we try to share the experience of creating new mixed reality game contents, which is a mixture of augmented reality and virtual reality technology, and continuation of universal use of this field.

Indirect Illumination Algorithm with Mipmap-based Ray Marching and Denoising (밉맵기반 레이 마칭과 디노이징을 이용한 간접조명 알고리즘)

  • This paper introduces an interactive indirect illumination algorithm which considers indirect visibility. First, a small number of rays are emitted on hemisphere of the current pixel to obtain the first intersection. If this point is directly illuminated by the light source, its illuminated color is collected. Second, in order to approximate the indirect visibility, a 3D ray marching algorithm, which is based on a hierarchy structure, is used to accelerate the ray-voxel intersection. Third, the indirect images are denoised by an edge-avoiding filtering with a local means replacement method.

  • 3차원 영상 기술은 방송, 영화, 게임, 의료, 국방 등 다양한 기존 산업들과 융합하며 새로운 패러다임을 형성하고 있으며, 고품질 및 고해상도의 3차원 영상 획득에 대한 필요성이 강조되고 있다. 이에 따라, 최근에는 3차원 입체 영상을 제작 하는 방법 중 하나인 2D-plus-Depth 구조에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 2D-plus-Depth 구조는 Charge-Coupled Device(CCD) 센서 등을 이용한 일반 카메라와 깊이 카메라를 결합한 형태로써 이 구조로부터 얻은 깊이 영상의 해상도를 상향 변환하기 위해서 Joint Bilateral Upsampling(JBU)[1], 컬러 영상의 정보를 활용한 보간법[2] 등의 방법들이 사용된다. 하지만 이 방법들은 깊이 영상을 높은 배율로 상향 변환할 경우 텍스처가 복사되거나 흐림 및 블록화 현상이 발생하는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 2D-plus-Depth 구조에서 얻은 고해상도 컬러 영상에서 보간 정보를 구하고 이 정보를 저해상도의 깊이 영상에 적용하여 상향 변환된 가이드 깊이 영상을 제작한다. 이 가이드 깊이 영상을 Bilateral Filtering[8]을 이용함으로써 고품질의 고해상도 깊이 영상을 획득한다. 실험 결과 제안하는 방법으로 해상도를 상향 변환을 할 경우에 기존의 보간법들에 비해 깊이 영상의 특성을 잘 보존함을 확인할 수 있고, 가이드 깊이 영상에 필터링을 처리한 결과가 JBU의 결과보다 향상됨을 확인할 수 있다.

Visual Multi-touch Input Device Using Vision Camera (비젼 카메라를 이용한 멀티 터치 입력 장치)

  • In this paper, we propose a visual multi-touch air input device using vision cameras. The implemented device provides a barehanded interface which copes with the multi-touch operation. The proposed device is easy to apply to the real-time systems because of its low computational load and is cheaper than the existing methods using glove data or 3-dimensional data because any additional equipment is not required. To do this, first, we propose an image processing algorithm based on the HSV color model and the labeling from obtained images. Also, to improve the accuracy of the recognition of hand gestures, we propose a motion recognition algorithm based on the geometric feature points, the skeleton model, and the Kalman filter. Finally, the experiments show that the proposed device is applicable to remote controllers for video games, smart TVs and any computer applications.
