Implementation of Automatic Height Adjustment System (자동 레벨 컨트롤 적재물 운반 시스템의 구현)

  • In this paper we present the system we produced to help workers at logistic centers and prevent accidents, in which they could get hurt. As a base we use the main control device, named Arduino uno, which measures the weight by using load cells. When operating with the system, by placing object on it, the system measures the weight of the object and keeps the highest point at the same height by lowering its board. This improves the convenience while placing and removing objects from the board. If the weight of the placed object is exceeding the set value the board will also lower itself to secure the safety. By using a line tracer system, the objects are being moved only on a set route with the goal to make it even more comfortable to use.

Design Verification of an E-driving System of a 44 kW-class Electric Tractor using Agricultural Workload Data (농작업 부하데이터를 활용한 44 kW급 전기구동 트랙터의 E-driving 시스템 설계 검증)

  • The aim of this study was to verify an E-driving system of a 44 kW-class electric tractor using agricultural workload data. Workload data were acquired during field test (plow tillage, rotary tillage, loader operation, field driving, asphalt driving) using a conventional tractor with a load measurement system. These workload data were converted to data of a 44 kW-class tractor based on the load factor of the engine. These data were used to verify the design of the E-driving system of an electric tractor. High-load operations such as plow tillage, rotary tillage, and loader operation could be performed at stage L and stage M. High-speed operation (asphalt driving) could be effectively performed at stage H using a rated rotational speed of the motor. As a result, the E-driving system of the electric tractor was possible to perform all major agricultural operations according to gear stages of range shift. Based on results of this research, we plan to develop an electric tractor equipped with an E-driving system and conduct research on actual vehicle verification in the future.

A Study on the Application of Drone Based Aeromagnetic Survey System to Iron Mine Site (드론 기반 항공자력탐사 시스템을 이용한 철광산 탐사 적용성 연구)

  • The system of magnetic exploration with a drone flight was constructed and applied to the iron mine site. The magnetic probe system installed on the drone used a sensor as Bartington's fluxgate type magnetometer, Mag639 and the A/D converter to collect magnetic intensity values on the tablet PC. The drone flight control module is a highly expandable Pixhawk with allowing 15 minutes of flight by loading 3kg. Experiments on the magnetic field interference range were performed to remove the erroneous effect from the drone with applying RTK GPS to obtain the magnetic intensity value at the accurate position. The accurate location information enabled to obtain the gradient measurement of magnetic field by measuring twice at different altitudes. Also, by using the terrain information, we could eliminate the terrain effect by setting the flight path to fly along the terrain. These results are in line with the field experiments using the nuclear proton magnetometer G-858 of Geometrics Co., Ltd, which adds to the reliability of the drone based aeromagnetic survey system we constructed.

  • The development of wireless communication MAC layer is usually released as SoC which is a combination in hardware and software. In this system development environment, an environment for software development and verification is necessary because the hardware development takes a lot of time priori to completion. In integrated development of hardware and software, simulation environment of hardware and software provided by hardware modeling using HDL at RTL and ISS respectively. By increasing the development complexity of system, ESL design modeling systems at higher abstraction level than RTL has already prompted. The ESL design is divided untime model and time model. This paper present design and implementation of MCU for untime model simulation, not time model. Proposed MCU can optimize the system at early step of system development and move up the development completion time by verifying the system function easily and rapidly than part required exact time in untime model. In this paper, we present an MCU module based on SystemC and UC/OS-II Module providing real-time operate system.

  • The growth of mobile devices in Internet of Things (IoT) leads to a number of intelligent buildings related IoT applications. For instance, home automation controlling system uses client system such web apps on smartphone or web service to access the home server by sending control commands. The home server receives the command, then controls for instance the light system. The gateway based RESTful technology responsible for handling clients' requests attests an internet latency in case a large number of clients' requests submit toward the gateway increases. In this paper, we propose the design tasks of the IoT gateway for handling concurrency events. In the procedure of designing tasks, concurrency is best understood by employing multiple levels of abstraction. The way that is eminently to accomplish concurrency is to build an object-oriented environment with support for messages passing between concurrent objects. We also investigate the performance of event-driven architecture for building IoT gateway using node.js on one side and communication protocol based message-oriented middleware known as XMPP to handle communications of intelligent building control devices connected to the gateway through a centralized hub. The Node.JS is 40% faster than the traditional web server side features thread-based approach. The use of Node.js server-side handles a large number of clients' requests, then therefore, reduces delay in performing predefined actions automatically in intelligent building IoT environment.

  • In this paper, we proposed a mobile phone payment system using light signal containing payment related information. The digicard system we proposed creates virtual mobile card such as credit numbers and the created information is loaded in mobile phone. The virtual card information should be changed to pulse signal by light signal devices of mobile phone and the specific digicard system reader is able to read light signal. In recent years, a mobile phone payment system has been developed in order to provide user's convenience. But the mobile phone payment system has problems such as the production costs and complex and large size. In order to solve the aforementioned problems, we proposed mobile phone payment system being implemented by updating software without additional hardware modules. Therefore it is possible to apply the proposed digicard system to all kinds of mobile phone. Also encryption module is implemented to solve the problem of the security and privacy. According to an aspect of the present invention, there is provided a mobile phone payment system using a light signal containing payment-related information, comprising: a mobile phone; a photo receiver: and a control server.

Measurement of Respiratory Motion Signals for Respiratory Gating Radiation Therapy (호흡동조 방사선치료를 위한 호흡 움직임 신호 측정)

  • Respiration motion causes movement of internal structures in the thorax and abdomen, making accurate delivery of radiation therapy to tumors in those areas a challenge. Accounting for such motion during treatment, therefore, has the potential to reduce margins drawn around the clinical target volume (CTV), resulting in a lower dose to normal tissues (e.g., lung and liver) and thus a lower risk of treatment induced complications. Among the techniques that explicitly account for intrafraction motion are breath-hold, respiration gating, and 4D or tumor-tracking techniques. Respiration gating methods periodically turn the beam on when the patient's respiration signal is in a certain part of the respiratory cycle (generally end-inhale or end-exhale). These techniques require acquisition of some form of respiration motion signal (infrared reflective markers, spirometry, strain gauge, thermistor, video tracking of chest outlines and fluoroscopic tracking of implanted markers are some of the techniques employed to date), which is assumed to be correlated with internal anatomy motion. In preliminary study for the respiratory gating radiation therapy, we performed to measurement of this respiration motion signal. In order to measure the respiratory motion signals of patient, respiration measurement system (RMS) was composed with three sensor (spirometer, thermistor, and belt transducer), 4 channel data acquisition system and mobile computer. For two patients, we performed to evaluation of respiratory cycle and shape with RMS. We observed under this system that respiratory cycle is generally periodic but asymmetric, with the majority of time spent. As expected, RMS traced patient's respiration each other well and be easily handled for application.

  • A monitoring system needs many parameters to increase devices for monitoring data and to support various services. In particular, monitoring the status of a device in a wireless mobile environment has a difficulty in displaying multi data in a limited screen size, and transfer of the status data of a device into a network is largely related with network traffic. The research aims at designing a control board that collects data in order to effectively manage a greenhouse environment system. Also, the research tries to appropriately operate devices, environment data monitoring, and the control of each device by realizing a multiplexed interface based on a web. Thus, in the case in which a distributed client was a computer, monitoring and control were obtained with a web browser through the Lab VIEW web server of a server or local control module in order to effectively monitor and control according to the status of a user. In the case in which a client was a PDA, application of a wireless mobile considering the scale and data processing capacity of a displayer was connected. As a result of the research, we could confirm a satisfactory outcome from the viewpoint of a human-centered design by supplying adaptability and mobility according to the environment of a user.

An Application of the Genetic Algorithm for the Input Shaper on the High Order System (입력 성형기의 고차 시스템 적용을 위한 GA활용)

  • Recently, industrial systems are becoming quicker and lighter to enable the reduction of energy consumption and increase productivity. So the latest systems are more flexible and rapid than the previous systems. But, with this improvement, another problem has emerged, such as the increase in residual vibration when a system is started or stopped. The input shaper is a command generation method that can remove residual vibration. It can provide a solution to the problem of residual vibration in industrial systems. However, it is difficult to generate the input shaper in high order systems, such as a typical industrial system because the input shaper is induced from the system's vibration characteristics. This study focused on the extra insensitivity shaper that can compensate for the system's modeling error such as input dynamics, and the high order's system affection. A genetic algorithm was deployed to adjust a vibration limitation for the extra insensitivity of the input shaper. A plant is a low damping system that includes one zero and a pole. The fitness functions are an error signal of the system's response with normalized frequency variations. Verification of the suggested system is satisfied by comparison between the zero vibration derivative input shaper's response and the suggested one.

  • Our research was performed in order to implement a new pointing device for human-computer interactions in a collaborative environments based on Tiled Display system. We mainly focused on tracking the position of an infrared light source and applying our system to various areas. More than simple functionality of mouse clicking and pointing, we developed a device that could be used to help people communicate better with the computer. The strong point of our system is that it could be implemented in any place where a camera can be installed. Due to the fact that this system processes only infrared light, computational overhead for LED recognition was very low. Furthermore, by analyzing user's movement, various actions are expected to be performed with more convenience. This system was tested for presentation and game control.
