애드혹 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 상호작용 미들웨어는 컨텍스트의 변화에 따라 애플리케이션간의 상호작용을 재구성할 수 있도록 지원해야 한다. 또한 미들웨어는 컨텍스트 인지 상호작용을 지원하는데 있어 컨텍스트 종류나 애플리케이션들 혹은 환경의 다양성에 따라 컨텍스트 변화에 대한 적응성을 동적으로 변화시킬 수 있도록 기능을 제공해야 한다. 하지만 기존 연구들은 컨텍스트 변화에 대한 적응성을 변화시키는 이러한 요소들에 대해 고려하지 않으며 그로 인해 컨텍스트 변화에 대한 적응 정도를 정적으로 설정함으로써 컨텍스트 인지 상호작용을 지원하는데 있어 경우에 따라 오버헤드가 발생하거나 컨텍스트 변화에 빠르게 대응하지 못한다. 따라서 본 연구는 애드혹 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 동작하는 Publish/Subscribe 기반의 상호작용 미들웨어에서 이벤트 중계의 정확성과 컨텍스트 변화 적응성간의 관계를 기반으로 다양한 컨텍스트 종류나 사용자, 환경에 따라 이벤트 중계의 정확도를 동적으로 조절하는 기법을 제안한다. 그리고 이를 기반으로 이벤트 중계 정보를 동적으로 재구성하여 컨텍스트에 맞춰 효율적으로 컨텍스트 인지 상호작용을 구성할 수 있는 기법을 제안한다. 비교 분석 결과 기존 연구에 비해 컨텍스트 변화에 대한 적응성에서 더 나은 결과를 보여주었다.

컨텍스트 인지 시스템에 대한 관심이 높아지면서, 시스템을 효과적으로 개발할 필요성도 역시 높아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 컨텍스트 인지 서비스의 특성을 품질 속성에 추가함으로써 서비스 형태에 따라 컨텍스트 인지 시스템의 소프트웨어 아키텍처를 결정하는 방법을 소개한다.

컨텍스트 인지 시스템의 중요성이 커지면서 이러한 시스템을 효과적으로 개발하기 위한 요구가 증대되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 컨텍스트 인지 시스템의 요구 사항을 파악하기 위해 컨텍스트 정보, 컨텍스트 서비스의 개념을 정의하고, 컨텍스트를 중심으로 시스템 요구 사항을 파악하는 방법을 소개한다.

Even though context is the most important feature in context-aware systems, the existing requirements engineering cannot support methodology for elicitation and specification of contexts. In this paper, we propose a requirements elicitation method and a requirements specification method for context-aware systems. Our requirements elicitation method is a 6-stepped, incremental, and iterative process. At the beginning steps in the process, we identify the requirements for business logic. Afterwards, we gather the requirements for context logic, model contexts, and identify subsystems. For requirements specification, we suggest a context-aware use case diagram, a context diagram for context modeling, and a context-type-use-case-dependency diagram for the traceability of use cases on the change of context types. We also introduce a case study that we apply our approaches to a real system, and a qualitative evaluation of our approaches. Our study will help stakeholders to efficiently elicit requirements for context-aware systems and to specify them clearly.

최근 스마트폰을 이용하여 위치, 움직임, 주위 환경 정보 등과 같은 사용자의 상황을 인지하고, 인지한 컨텍스트를 기반으로 어플리케이션이 능동적으로 기능을 제공하기 위한 연구가 활발하다. 그러나 현재 켠텍스트 인지 모바일 어플케이션에서는 단일 사용자의 현재 컨텍스트에 국한되어 컨텍스트를 활용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 제안하는 컨텍스트 Visualizer에서는 포괄적인 컨텍스트 정보의 활용을 위해 컨텍스트 정보를 개인, 그룹별로 분류하여 보여준다. 또한, 과거, 현재, 미래 컨텍스트 정보를 고려하여 화면에 보여줌으로써 컨텍스트의 활용 범위를 향상시킨다. 이를 위하여 온 논문에서는 모바일 컨텍스트 종류를 설명하고, 이를 보여주기 위한 컨텍스트 Visualizer의 설계를 제시한다. 또한 설계 모델을 기반으로 구현한 프로토타입을 보여주고, Visualizer의 활용을 제시함으로써 연구의 실효성을 보여준다.

Along with increasing supplies of smart devices, a proliferation of context-aware applications is came. However, acquiring contexts through sensors requires considerable energy consumption. It has became big constraints on running many context-aware applications in mobile devices having limited battery capacity. Hence, energy-efficient methods for monitoring contexts are highly required. In this paper, we propose four context monitoring methods, analyse energy consumption in each method, and provide guidelines for applying the methods. It is effective to decrease energy consumption for monitoring contexts with applying the methods. To assess the proposed methods, we implement an application that is aware of a user's motion and show quantitative comparison between each of the methods.

This paper is about our experience of developing a context-aware exhibit guide system called MyGuide by applying Simtext development methodology. In particular, we introduce some issues to be considered in development process, the way that we solved them, and other things related to context. In requirements elicitation phase, we reduced the complexity of requirements by separating business logic requirements and context-awareness related requirements. After that, we modeled context, and designed software architecture, classes, and database in sequence during design phase. We considered system requirements and context modeling issues for context modeling because it influences class and database design.

본 논문에서는 스마트 센서 네트워크에서 컨텍스트 인지 서비스를 제공하는 미들웨어를 제안한다. 미들웨어는 UPnP를 이 용하여 어플리케이션과 스마트 센서 네트워크가 플러그 앤 플레이로 서비스의 상호운용을 제공하며, 컨텍스트 인지 서비스 에이전트를 통해 XML 기반의 서비스 명세가 개별 센서 네트워크에서 자동으로 실행 될 수 있는 코드를 생성한다. 이상의 미들웨어를 이용하여 개발자는 UPnP나 스마트 센서 네트워크에 대한 고려 없이 XML을 이용한 간단한 서비스 명세만으로 손쉽게 컨텍스트 인지 서비스를 지원하는 어플리케이션을 개발 할 수 있다.

가용 센서를 내장하고 있는 모바일 디바이스의 사용이 많아지고 자동화, 자율화, 맞춤식 서비스의 요구가 커짐에 따라 컨텍스트 인지 모바일 컴퓨팅(Context-Aware Mobile Computing)의 필요성이 증대하고 있다. 하지만 추론 시스템 설계는 컨텍스트 분석, 인지하고자 하는 상황분석 등의 복잡한 과정을 요구한다. 본 눈문에서는 이러한 과정을 간결하고 정확하게 표현하기 위한 컨텍스트-상황 추론 요소의 범용적 정형 모델을 제안한다. 또한 추론 요소들의 정형 모델을 실사례에 적용하여 본 논문에서 제안하고 있는 추론 요소들의 정형 모델이 실효성을 가지고 있으며 범용적임을 보여준다.

본 논문은 유비쿼터스(Ubiquitous) 컴퓨팅 환경에서 이루어지고 있던 기존의 확률 중심의 사용자 패턴 인식에 의한 서비스를 제공하는 방식과는 다른 컨텍스트(context)들이 동적으로 변화하는 상황에 능동적으로 대처하는 통합 컨텍스트 인지 모델을 제안한다. 사용자에게 가장 익숙하고 보편적인 환경인 홈에서 얻어 낼 수 있는 다양한 정보들을 통합 분석한 정보를 이용하여 사용자에게 개별화된 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 통합 컨텍스트 인지 모델을 제안한다.
