The Study on Methodology and Flow of Discourses of Community Media Focusing on the Meta-analysis of Topics, Methods, and Issues of Academic Journals (공동체 미디어의 담론 흐름과 연구경향 학술논문의 주제, 방법, 쟁점에 대한 메타분석을 중심으로)

  • Online communities have become playgrounds for enjoyment and political public spheres as well as have been vitalized by participation of diverse users, which shows that users of online communities experience participatory democracy and new subjects who project the politic of everyday life eventually. The purpose of the study is to examine that how phenomenon from above have been revealed in the academic discourses and seek the ways for development of the theory and methodology of community media research. To do this, I analyze that features and tendencies of academic discourses which have historically been accumulated through applying method of meta-analysis into topics, methods, and issues in the precedence studies. Data is centered on Journals of the Korean Society for Journalism and communication Studies, Korean Association for Broadcasting and Telecommunication studies, Korean Association for Communication and Information studies, and the Cybercommunication Academic Society. The reason why I choose these journals is that they have a long history of the publication compared to other journals, thus, I can collect various related articles. Total of 53 Samples are selected after input keywords '공동체' and 'Community'. This study makes a contribution by offering the preliminary data in order to seek the ways for revitalization of local communities and for the future theories and methodologies of community media through researching on precedence studies having piled from 2001 when the first article about community media was published to November 2016.

A study on the realization of community care for the developmentally disabled: Focusing on Japanese community practice (발달장애인 커뮤니티 케어 실현방안 연구: 일본의 지역사회 실천을 중심으로)

  • The rate of admission to facilities for people with developmental disabilities in Korea is very high for other types of disabilities. Therefore, 'community care', which supports life in the community for people with developmental disabilities, is very important compared to other types of disabilities. However, in Korea, families with disabilities are the problem of care and are appealing for the burden of support. This study analyzed practical cases through welfare institutional visits and interviews on support for community independence in Japan. As a result of the study, the transition of people with developmental disabilities to communities in Japan was centered on group home. The private sector is providing support for people with severe disabilities in group home to live in communities, and Sapporo City Hall is conducting private connections to solve the problem of caring for the developmentally disabled elderly parents. Accordingly, as Korean policy recommendations, it is proposed to expand group home, switch functions of living facilities for the disabled, cope with the problem of caring for the disabled by elderly parents, and provide preventive services through surveys on the actual condition of adults living alone. As practical suggestions, it is necessary to develop and distribute educational textbooks such as pictures to improve daily life skills for self-reliance, expand sufficient manpower and facilities in vocational training for self-reliance, and operate shelters for adults with developmental disabilities and their guardians.

  • 국내의 초고속 인터젯 가입자수는 2002년말 기준으로 1050만명(100명당22명)으로 세계에서 가장 높은 수준의 보급률을 보이고 있다. 인터넷의 보급화산에 따라 유선분야에서 초고속 인터넷의 매출액은 2002년 3조5천억원으로 전체 유선 서비스 매출의 30%이상을 차지하고 있다. 2007년에는 매출액 5조4천억원으로 전체 유선서비스 시장의 40% 정도를 차지할 것으로 전망된다. 초고속 인터넷은 일반인의 생활 패턴을 바꿀 정도로 활용이 다양해졌다. 정보 검색 외에 멀티유저 게임, 금융 거래 및 조회, 커뮤니티 서비스 등 우리의 거의 모든 일상 생활에 적용되기 시작했다. 또한 보급률과 맏물려 비용도 저렴해지면서 보급률신장이 이루어지는데 일조하였다. 고속 통신망환경에서 저렴한 관리비용으로 원격지를 통합 관리하며 제어하여 관리비용을 점감하고 실시간으로 영상 및 기기를 제어하기 위하여 개발된 시스템이 RMS(Remote Management System)이다. RMS는 지역에 클라이언트 시스템을 설치하고 주변장치들과 연결하여 영상 및 수치데이터를 획득, 처리, 저장 할 수 있도록 하며, 원격지의 서버 시스템에 초고속망으로 연결하여 현재의 상황과 데이터를 표시하는 시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 여기에서는 개발하여 적용한 사례를 들어 설명하고, 개발의 타당성과 효율성을 설명하도록 하겠다.

  • 본 논문에서는 <오버워치>나 <리그 오브 레전드> 등의 이용자끼리 실력을 겨루는 형태의 경쟁적인 온라인 게임들에서 이용되어지고 있는 게임 핵의 종류와 사용 실태를 조사하고 이에 따른 개선 방안을 제시한다. 여러 가지 종류의 온라인 게임 핵에 대해서 알아보고 해당 핵이 어떤 게임에서 어떤 식으로 적용 되는지 설명하고, 유저들이 핵으로 인하여 개발사, 대회 주관사 등의 여러 기관에서 입는 피해 사례를 조사하고 이에 따른 현재 사용되고 있는 각 개발사들의 조치 방안 및 유저 커뮤니티의 의견 등을 통해 실태에 대해서 연구한다. 결론으로는 위의 조사한 자료를 바탕으로 어떻게 하면 현재 성행하고 있는 게임 핵사용을 방지하고 차단하는지에 대한 개선 방안을 제시하고 나아가 개발 및 운영 차원에서는 어떤 식으로 지원해야 하는지 등의 내용을 제시한다.

  • Knowledge Ecosystem은 지식이 자연생태계와 유사한 속성을 가지고 있다는 가정과 관점으로부터 출발한다. 이는 지식과 지식 그리고 이를 생성하고 활용하는 주체와 주체가 생태계의 복잡한 네트워크로 연결되어 다양한 진화와 소멸의 과정을 거치는 과정으로 이해하고 이를 현실세계에 반영하여 긍정적 측면에서 지식을 확대재생산하거나 강화하고 부정적 측면을 약화시키는 과정으로 이해할 수 있다. 이러한 과정은 인위적 개입이나 통제보다는 생태계의 자연스러운 현상에 기반하여 이를 활성화하는데 근본적인 목적이 있다. 본 논문에서는 과학기술정보를 활용하여 연구개발을 수행하고 이를 통해 신제품개발 및 사업화를 수행하는 과학기술정보 커뮤니티에 Knowledge Ecosystem을 개발, 적용한 사례를 중심으로 시스템의 개념과 성과에 대해 설명하고자 한다.

  • 로봇 운영 체제인 Robot Operating System (ROS)은 다양한 로봇 프로젝트와 연구에서 광범위하게 활용되며 국제적인 활발한 커뮤니티가 형성되어 있다. 많은 로봇 기능들이 ROS 를 활용하여 개발되어왔고, 이중에서도 Fastech 사의 Ezi-SERVO II PLUS E motor driver 를 ROS 환경에서 사용할 수 있도록 개발 작업이 진행되었다. ROS 는 Linux 기반이므로, 개발 환경으로는 초보자도 다루기 쉬우면서 비교적 저렴한 소형 컴퓨터인 Raspberry Pi 를 선택하였다. 또, Raspberry Pi 는 Linux 기반의 작은 컴퓨터로, 다양한 개별 프로젝트를 수행하기 위해 많은 사람들이 활용하고 있다. 이로 인해 Raspberry Pi 로 소규모 프로젝트를 진행하는 개발자들도 해당 모터 드라이버를 Raspberry Pi 와 ROS 를 통해 쉽게 사용할 수 있게 되었다.

  • RTEMS is a real-time operating system using a GPLv2-based license, and is used in the aerospace industry, such as satellites. It is difficult to build a development environment for these special-purpose systems because of problems related to the hardware platform. This can be resolved by applying virtualization technology. However, increased execution time and performance degradation due to virtualization overhead can change timing behavior of real-time application, and needs to be minimized. In this paper, we aim to implement the network device driver of RTEMS for the standardized virtual network device called virtio in order to effectively utilize RTEMS in a virtualized environment. In addition, we describe the process of submitting implemented driver to the RTEMS community for contributing open source software and reflecting the various requirements of the community.

  • AMGA service, which is one of the EMI gLite middleware components, is widely used for analysis of distributed large scale experiments data as metadata repository by scientific and technological researchers and the use of AMGA is extended farther to include general industries needing metadata Catalogue as well. However AMGA, based unix and Grid UI, has the weakness of being absence of general-purpose user interfaces in comparison to other commercial database systems and that's why it's difficult to use and diffuse it although it has the superiority of the functionality. In this paper, we developed AMGA GUI toolkit to provide work convenience using object-oriented modeling language(UML). Currently, AMGA has been used as the main component among many user communities such as Belle II, WISDOM, MDM, and so on, but we expect that this development can not only lower the barrier to entry for AMGA beginners to use it, but lead to expand the use of AMGA service over more communities.

  • Machine learning as a service, the so-called MLaaS, has recently attracted much attention in almost all industries and research groups. The main reason for this is that you do not need network servers, storage, or even data scientists, except for the data itself, to build a productive service model. However, machine learning is often very difficult for most developers, especially in traditional science due to the lack of well-structured big data for scientific data. For experiment or application researchers, the results of an experiment are rarely shared with other researchers, so creating big data in specific research areas is also a big challenge. In this paper, we introduce the KISTI-ML platform, a community-based rapid AI model development for scientific data. It is a place where machine learning beginners use their own data to automatically generate code by providing a user-friendly online development environment. Users can share datasets and their Jupyter interactive notebooks among authorized community members, including know-how such as data preprocessing to extract features, hidden network design, and other engineering techniques.

An Exploratory Study for Identifying Success Factors in On-line Games: Analysis of Game players` Behavior (국내 온라인게임의 게이머 형태 분석을 통한 성공요인 연구)

  • The last few years have been a boom time for the online gaming industry. Internet-based online games have made an increasingly popular form of entertainment. The gaming industry estimates that online gaming players reach over 26 million in 2002. The rapid development of online game-contents and related information technology shall increase the size of industry and have a profound impact on many ways of our living and sociaty. This paper develops the exploratory LISREL model for identifying the factors attecting the players' loyalty for some specific brand of online games. The concept of flow, word of mouth, feedback, challenge, social norms, and online community activities, etc, are all introduced into the model, as the independent variables affecting the loyalty directly and indirectly. Based on data collected from online questionnaire survey, the validity of the model has been tested and interesting conclusions have been developed concerning the relationships between the loyalty, flow, word of mouth and other set of independent vareables. It is hoped that this result might provide the useful guidelines for developing the successful online game contents.
