A Study on the Socio-Cultural Approach to Design History in Korea (사회사적 디자인사 연구를 위한 방법론 모색)

  • This study originates from the following problematic: Can a social history of design provide a useful methodology for the research and education of Korean design? For the understanding of the modes of socio-cultural approach to design, the chapter 2 compares the narrative mode of designer-centered history promulgated under the influence of Nikolaus Pevsner and that of socio-cultural approach advocated by Adrian Forty. The chapter 3 studies the cases of socio-cultural approach to Korean design through the domestic exhibitions like 'Everyday Life, Memory and History,' 'A Glimpse into the Society through Campaigns,' and 'Design Culture in Korea 1910-1960' which attempted the socio-cultural approach to the visual culture of modern/contemporary Korea. In the chapter 4, this study investigates into the meanings and characteristics of socio-cultural approach in the design research and education, End argues for the necessity of the introduction of qualitative research methodology.

  • Launch Control System(LCS) performs the pre-launch preparation and launch operation during launch campaign. The successful launch operation is basically influenced by hardware and software of LCS. Especially, a trivial errors in control algorithm can cause critical problem or disaster in launch operation. Therefore, the hidden or implicit errors should be distinguished and eliminated by the verification test in advance. In this paper, the design and implementation of hardware and software simulator which have already been used in LCS verification will be introduced. By presenting the detailed design and flowchart-based algorithms, we make other similar systems adopt the implementation philosophies of this paper. Especially, this paper emphasizes that all the simulation algorithms work on the self-controller in LCS without using separated computer or PLC.

Trend of City-brand Slogans in Korea and Solutions for Their Development (국내 도시브랜드 슬로건의 경향과 개발)

  • As part of city marketing, many local governments are recently developing or have already developed a slogan for their own city brand. This study aims to provide basic source materials for an efficient and more systematic way in current development of the slogan for a city brand. Therefore, this study compared and analyzed the cases for developing the slogan for a city brand in Korea and in other nations, presenting some feasible solutions. As for the characteristics of the slogans for city brands in Korea, they were all campaign-type slogans with a single-component structure that includes the city's name. They mostly used values as their subject material. The basic requirements for producing a successful city-brand slogan include the emphasis on the quality of being unique and differentiated. A city-brand slogan must incorporate the kind of natural environment, the culture, the history, etc that are unique to the region in order to become a creative and unique slogan. Rather than being swayed by short-term trends, a city-brand slogan must have a long term vision and strategy as well as a clear and accurate setup. Also, a city-brand slogan will proliferate and create values as a brand when shared communications with all local residents continue to occur after developing the slogan.

Snack Culture and Fast Fashion (스낵 컬처와 패스트 패션)

  • This study is research on the snack culture and fast fashion. The purpose of this study is to examine the common attributes of snack culture and fast fashion as a cultural phenomenon. The following results were obtained: First, snack culture and fast fashion have attributes of 3S represented by Speed, Short time, and Simplification. Second, snack culture and fast fashion meet consumer demands by fun and various contents and a variety of designs, respectively. Third, although snack culture has developed on the basis of information technology, fast fashion has grown based on the technological innovation of business, organization, and distribution system. Fourth, snack culture communicates with the world through opening and sharing to be globalize a context, and fast fashion is globalized to multinational corporations by increasing sales and development of scale. Fifth, snack culture has a synergistic effect by maximizing the multiple interactions through social campaigns based on the attribute to communicate with many-to-many relationship. In addition, fast fashion produces a synergistic effect through collaborative strategic alliances.

  • Recently there are many people who suffer from a mental problem like depression or anxiety caused by the stress of employment or school works. Some mental care agencies serve a campaign for them, but it's less accessible due to the geographic distance. And before taking the service, people should find out what is a better psychological test for them to diagnose the problem. Furthermore, it is inconvenient that keeping the diagnosis which is written in some papers. In his paper, in order to solve these problems, suggests the novel platform that serves psychological tests to users and stores results into database so that involved agencies could contact quickly. The psychological tests BAI, BDI, PHQ-15, and Q-15 were used to verify the reliability and effectiveness of the platform.

Relationship of life style on body composition and quality of life in college students (전문대학생의 생활습관과 체성분 및 삶의 질과의 관계)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was suggesting baseline data that promote college student's health by analyzing relationship between life style and body composition, life quality. Methods: Data were collected through 60 college students who voluntarily participated in campaign. Their average age was 22.07 years old and 85.0% of participant was age 20 to 25. Data were analyzed by using SPSS Win 19.0 program, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficients. Results: Our analysis showed that body composition is significantly different from life style such as exercise, smoking, drinking and Weight. There was relationship between life style and life quality including private satisfaction. Conclusion: Finding of this study provide a reference to improve life quality of college students.

Optimized Web Design Method by Analyzing the Websites (웹사이트 분석을 통한 최적화 설계 방안)

  • As the Internet usage such as Web3.0, future internet, and internet of things increases, the big data through information exchange between the users and web servers increases. Analyzing those web data, the commercial web sites use the analytic results for marketing and campaign, and non-commercial web sites also use the results to improve the user's services satisfaction. In this paper, the quantitative index is presented to analyze the web sites, and optimized web site design method is also presented through the correlation analysis of index and significance test. From the results for 138 web sites, it is observed that strong plus(+) correlation for visits-unique visitors and page views-average visit duration exists. We also observe the minus(-) correlation between bounce rate and page views per user(or ratio of new visits). In specific, to reduce the bounce rate for users, the strategy to increase the page views and ratio of new visits rather than visits and unique visitors is needed.

The Advertising Effect on A.I. as an Endorser: Focusing on Innovativeness and Anthropomorphism of Consumer (인공지능(A.I.)의 보증인 광고효과 분석: 수용자의 혁신성과 의인화 영향을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to verify whether the endorser effect similar to humans can be created in advertising campaigns based on the artificial intelligence endorser. In particular, considering the characteristics of artificial intelligence, a research model was presented by convergence of consumer innovativeness and anthropomorphism. The results of the online survey of 244 respondents showed that expertise of the artificial intelligence endorser has a positive effect on both brand attitude and purchase intention, but not for trustworthiness while it has a positive effect on brand attitude. Also, the effect of consumer innovativeness and anthropomorphism on brand attitude and purchase intention for artificial intelligence was found. The endorser effect was expanded to artificial intelligence, which is an intangible object, and the existing theory and research results were combined to re-verify it. Theoretical and practical implications for artificial intelligence-based products and services were presented.

핵융합로 디버터의 대면물질로 사용될 텅스텐의 상압열플라즈마 용사 코팅 공정 최적화 및 코팅질 향상을 위한 해석적 연구

  • 핵융합로에서는 디버터의 열부하에 대한 안전성을 고려하기 위해 열전도도 및 열 저항성이 높은 텅스텐이 대면 물질로 고려되고 있으며, 경제적인 측면과 실용성 측면에서 텅스텐블록을 직접 제작하여 사용하는 것보다 텅스텐코팅이 효과적이라는 의견이 지배적이다. 또한 ASDEX Upgrade 에서는 탄소블럭에 텅스텐을 코팅하여 챔버 외벽 및 디버터 영역까지 구성하여 캠페인을 진행하였고, 재료적인 측면에서 안정성을 확인 하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 디버터 및 챔버외벽 등에 대한 대면물질을 구성하기 위해 상압 열플라즈마 제트를 이용하여 고온에서의 용융 및 냉각을 통해 모재에 텅스텐 피막을 적층하는 과정을 수행하고 있다. 기존의 연구를 통해 일부 공정 변수에 대해서는 이미 적정한 범위의 공정조건을 확보하였고, 기공도와 산화도 및 부착력 등의 물성치에 대한 추가적인 향상을 위해 주요 공정 변수에 집중하여 최적의 조건을 탐색하는 과정이 진행 중이다. 이를 위해 출력증가실험의 일환으로서 기존 36kW급 플라즈마 토치 전력을 한 단계 끌어 올려 48kW급 전력까지 단계적으로 상승시킴으로써 이에 따른 물성치 변화를 검증하고 있다. 현재 44kW 급까지 실험이 수행되었으며, 이를 통해 공극률 감소 및 미세구조 변화에 대한 결과를 얻었다. 실제로 토치의 출력을 증가시킴으로서 텅스텐 피막의 물성치가 변화하는 메커니즘은 플라즈마 제트의 중심부 온도 및 축방향 속도에 의해 결정된다. 중심부 온도가 상승하게 될수록 코팅을 위해 분사되는 분말의 용융률은 증가하지만 분말 외벽에 산화텅스텐이 형성될 가능성은 증가하게 되며, 플라즈마 제트의 모재를 향상 축방향 속도가 증가할수록 용융 된 분말이 모재에 증착 시 형성하는 형태가 원형에 가깝게 되므로 기공이 감소하는 효과가 발생한다. 특히 용융된 분말의 증착 형태는 모재의 온도 및 분말의 입사속도에 결정적이 영향을 받게 되며, 결국 모재와 분말사이의 습윤성에 의한 분말 분산속도가 분말의 입사속도에 버금갈 경우 분말은 모재 위에서 효과적으로 원형으로 전이하며 적층하게 된다. 이러한 전이 현상은 앞에서 언급한 모재의 온도 등에 의해 결정적으로 영향을 받게 되며, 모재의 온도가 전이온도 이하일 경우 폭파형태에서 원형으로 분말의 증착 형태가 전이하게 된다. 이외에 추가적으로 진행하고 있는 연구는 코팅 전처리에 해당하는 분말 효과이며, 특히 탄화텅스텐 분말을 통한 재료적 auto-shroud 효과와 미세분말을 이용한 분말 표면열속의 증가에 따른 용융률 증가효과를 연구에 포함할 계획이다. 이러한 연구는 열적, 그리고 재료적 해석을 바탕으로 해석적 접근을 통해 이루어진다.

Perception of Drinking Water and Water Environment among Housewives in Gumi City Area (구미 지역 주부들의 먹는 물과 물 환경에 대한 인식)

  • The purpose of this study was to elucidate the perception of drinking water and water environment held by housewives in Gumi city area. The subject of this study were 20 housewives and surveyed with a questionnaire on a self-reporting basis. Results are as follows: 1. Housewives were concerned about drinking water and water environment as natural resource affecting Gumi city area. The percentage og the housewives who had used the purified tap water and the boiled water as drinking water was 35% and 30%, respectively. Also, The percentage of the safety of tap water was 75%. However, their perceived level about the safety of drinking water was relatively low. 2. Housewives suggests that a drinking water conservation campaign and active participation may be more effective if it is linked to local community. Furthermore, continuous education about drinking water and water environment promoting perception of tap water as drinking water.
