Effect of Dispersant Contents on the Dispersity of Conductive Carbon-black and Properties of Screen-printed Source-drain Electrodes for OTFTs (분산제 함량에 따른 전도성 카본블랙의 분산 특성 및 스크린 인쇄된 OTFTs용 소스-드레인 전극 물성)

  • We have fabricated source-drain electrodes for OTFTs using a screen-printing technique with carbon-black pastes as conductive paste. And effects of dispersants contents (SOP 10-40%) on the dispersity of carbon-black pastes and characteristics of screen-printed source-drain electrodes for OTFTs using two types of dispersants (DB-2150, DB-9077) were investigated. As contents of both dispersants were increased the dispersity of carbon-black mill-bases was improved, whereas the carbon-black pastes exhibited different dispersion characteristics. For the case of DB-2150, the dispersity of the pastes was improved with increasing dispersant content and the storage modulus G' in their rheology characteristics were reduced. But, for the DB-9077, the storage modulus G' of pastes were increased with dispersant content due to the flocculated network structure formed by interactions among carbon-black powders and dispersants. But, since this flocculated network structure of the pastes using DB-9077 resulted in the conduction path of carbon-black structures, the conductivities of screen-printed electrodes and mobilities of the OTFTs with them were better than those using pastes with DB-2150.

전력케이블용 CNT 반도전 컴파운드의 특성 연구

  • 다층카본나노튜브(MWCNT) 를 첨가한 전력케이블용 CNT 반도전 컴파운드를 용융혼합법을 사용하여 제조하였다. 카본나노튜브, 카본블랙, 분산제, 가교조제 함량변화에 따른 초고압 CNT 반도전 컴파운드의 특성을 조사하였다. 카본나노튜브 단독, 카본나노튜브와 전도성 카본블랙을 혼용함에 따른 상승효과, 분산제와 가교조제 사용에 따른 초고압 전력케이블용 CNT 반도전 컴파운드의 우수한 물성을 확인할 수 있었다.

Crosslink and Entanglement Moduli of Carbon Black Filled Network Rubbers Prepared by Different Curing Agents (상이한 가교제로 조성된 카본블랙 충진 망상 고무의 가교 탄성율과 엉킴 탄성율)

  • 세가지 가교제 즉 황, tetramethyltyiuram disulfide (TMTD) 및 dicumyl peroxide(DCP)로 각각 가교시킨 카본블랙 충진 고분자 망상 시료들에 대해 일축연신 실험 을 통해 얻은 Mooney plot를 분석, 가교 탄성율 Gc와 엉킴 탄성율 Ge를 각각 구하였다. 각 가교계에 대하여 Gc를 통해서는 가교 사슬간의 평균분자량, 망상사슬과 카본블랙간 결합체 의 밀도 및 평균 면적 등을 Gc를 통해서는 카본블랙 첨가에 따른 관경비를 각각평가하였다. 황 가교제의 경우 Gc가 가장 높았으며 망상 사슬과 카본블랙간의 결합이 가장 잘 이루어졌 다. TMTD와 DCP가교제의 경우는 황의경우보다 카보블랙 입자와의 결합력은 낮았으나 결 합체들의 분포는 더욱 조밀하게 나타났다. 또한 Ge평가로부터는 TMTD 가교계가 카본블랙 충진에 의해 관경이 가장크게 증가함을 알수 있었다.

Effect of Fillers on Dispersion of Carbon Nanotubes in a Twin-Screw Extruder (이축압출기에서 카본나노튜브의 분산에 대한 충전제 효과)

  • In this study, it was attempted to disperse carbon nanotubes (CNTs) in a polymer matrix using a twin-screw extruder which was good for dispersing fillers of micron sizes but not suitable for dispersing nanometer-sized materials. Improved dispersion of CNTs could be achieved by the addition of inorganic fillers with different geometrical shapes. An increase in the matrix viscosity provided a high shear stress on aggregated CNTs, leading to a good dispersion of CNTs. The presence of the inorganic fillers was supposed to suppress the re-aggregation of CNTs in the regions where a lower shear stress was applied. As a result, the CNTs dispersion was well stabilized.

  • 폴리카본산계 기능성 고분자를 합성해서 고성능 감수제 원료로 활용하여 고유동화 혼화제를 개발하고자 한다. 폴리카본산계 기능성 고분자를 합성한 후, 이를 고유동, 고강도 혼화제 원료로의 제반 물성을 확인하고, 이를 현장에 적용하여 현재의 제품을 획기적으로 개선하고, 혼화제 품질의 우위성을 확보하기 위해 1) 시멘트 및 골재 표면에서의 적절한 계면활성을 갖는 분자설계를 하였으며, 2)분자량의 조절 기술의 개발을 개발하였다. 합성에 있어서 첫째, 시멘트 및 골재 표면에서의 적절한 계면활성을 갖는 분자설계와 둘째, Mw 5,000정도의 분자량을 갖는 감수제의 합성기술을 개발하였다. 이렇게 제조된 고성능 유동화제의 화학구조 해석을 해석하고 분자량 및 분자량 분포를 측정한 다음, 시멘트 페이스트의 유동성, 점도, 슬럼프로스 등을 측정하여 고성능 유동화제의 성능인 시멘트 페이스트의 유동성을 시험하였다. 그 결과 고유동성을 갖는 것과 장시간 안정한 유동성을 나타내었으며, 경과 시간에 따른 겉보기 점도변화를 측정한 결과 점도의 상승이 초기에 일어나다가 시간의 경과에 따라 점도가 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 따라서 경과시간에 따른 유동성 손실을 억제할 것으로 기대한다.

Research on the Dispersion Stability and Scale up of Carbon Slurry Fuel (카본슬러리 연료의 분산안정성 개선 및 scale up 제조 연구)

  • For the preparation of carbon-slurry fuel, the effects of process parameters on the carbon dispersion stability in the liquid fuel have been investigated. The dispersion stability of carbon-slurry fuels could be monitored by measurements of particle size and carbon contents in the different positions, and observation of dispersion states after centrifuging. Through the application of various additives, it was found that NB463S84 based on polyolefin succinimde showed the best dispersion and longest stability life of carbon-slurry fuel. Also, PIBSI (polyisobutenyl succimide) with the similar functional groups to NB463S84 was effectively synthesized and same dispersion stability was verified by application to carbon-slurry fuel. Finally, the possibility of practical use of carbon-slurry fuels was confirmed by application of the mixing conditions obtained from g scale to kg scale preparation.

  • The effects of antioxidant and carbon black on weatherability of crosslinked polythylene(XLPE) for electrical insulation were investigated. 16 compositions were prepared in other to determine the weathering resistance. Samples were exposed in xenon-arc lamp Weather-Ometer for 500, 1000, 1500, 2000 hours respectively. Tensile strength, elongation at break, dielectric strength and tan ${\delta}$ were measured to evaluate the weatherability of XLPE. The results indicated that the effect of carbon black was more prominent than antioxidant and synergistic effect, was observed when two additives were mixed.

  • 저밀도 폐놀계 탄소/탄소 복합재의 층간전단강도를 개선하기 위해 흑연분말, 카본블랙, 카본매트, 단섬유 등의 첨가제를 사용하였다. 카본매트와 단섬유를 첨가한 경우, 수지의 부족에 의한 층간접착력의 약화를 가져왔으며, 카본블랙을 첨가한 경우에도 큰 효과를 나타내지 못했다. 흑연을 첨가했을 때 약 30%의 층간강도 개선을 가져왔으며 특히 9 vol.%의 첨가량에 대해서 가장 큰 효과를 보였다.

A Study on the Vulcanization Characteristics of SBR/BR Blends Containing Reinforcing Fillers (보강성 충전제가 첨가된 SBR/BR 블렌드의 가황특성에 관한 연구)

  • Order of reaction, rate constant, activation energy for vulcanization reaction, crosslinking density, and elastic constant of the network produced by sulfur curing were investigated on the SBR/BR blends containing silica and carbon black under same cure system. The reaction order was shown to be first order regardless of filler types. The carbon black filled rubber compounds showed higher rate constant compared to silica filled compounds. But activation energy appeared to be same regardless of filler type and rubber blend ratio. The crosslinking density and elastic constant is higher in the carbon black filled compound compared to silica filled compounds because of strong interaction between rubber and carbon black. On the other hand, crosslinking density and elastic constant were decreased with increasing the butadine rubber content in rubber blends. From the comparison of combined sulfur content in the vulcanized rubber, sulfur content in the silica filled compound become constant 20min later after reaction initiates but sulfur content in the carbon black filled compound become constant 10min later after reaction starts. The silica compound has a longer induction time ($t_2$) and optimum cure time($t_{90}$) compared to those of the carbon black filled compound.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a rational engineering conductive carbon filled composite through understanding of the effect of conductive carbon black. Polycabonate(PC), Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene copolymer(ABS) and PC/ABS resin were used as matrix of the conductive polymer composites. From the experimental results, PC filled with the fiber shaped carbon black showed a possibility to be a rational engineering conductive composite.
