Six hundred twenty two middle school students in Gyeonggi Province participated in the survey, which used the data of 614 respondents, i.e. 337 males and 277 females. A frequency analysis was conducted to determine the distribution of answers for each question, a crosstabulation analysis was performed to verify the gender differences in answer and an Mann-whitney U test was used to compare fear scores. According to the results patients feared even in unexpected circumstances. In addition, they feared when receiving direct treatment. In terms of gender, female students showed higher levels of fear than male ones (p<0.05).
Objectives : The purpose of this study is to seek analysis of related factors for dental fear and to know the fear component affecting the treatment of the dental treatment. Methods : Total of 320 females and males aging from 10 to 40 years old with dental treatments done from May to July 2010 have participated with self-entry survey method utilizing the Dental Fear Survey questionnaire. The data received was analyzed using the descriptive statistic, t-test, ANOVA and multiple correlation analysis with level of significance as p<0.05. Results : The dental fear factor were significantly high in woman by $2.79{\pm}0.92$ and in 40's age group by $2.82{\pm}0.84$ (p<0.05). Participants with frequent tooth ache, experiencing pain while treating the tooth ache and breaking the dental treatment appointment showed higher fear factor. Thoughts of having poor dental health condition caused bad influence on fear factor. Overall, the factors affecting the fear of the dental treatments were gender, an ache while treating, number of missed appointment, and distrust of the dentist, stimulation factor were the factors affecting the treatment. Conclusions : The fear factors in the dental treatment were higher with gender, related characteristics of the oral health and distrust of the dentist. Therefore accurately recognizing the sensitive patient with dental treatment, proper management of the toothache, effort to increase the creditability of the doctors and separately treating patient customized for each individual patient will reduce the fear of the dental treatment.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between university students' dental fear and their psychological hardiness and subjective well-being, promote positive awareness of and access to dental service, and develop a plan for continuous oral health care. To collect data, convenience sampling of college students in North Jeolla Province was performed, and they were asked to complete a self-administered questionnaire from May 1 to 30, 2017. Dental fear was negatively correlated with both psychological hardiness and subjective well-being, and psychological hardiness and subjective well-being were positively correlated with each other. University students' dental fear, psychological hardiness, and subjective well-being were found to be correlated with one another; therefore, dental clinics need to apply a positive style of coping, taking into account psychological responses suitable for clinical competence on the basis of satisfactory communication, with the objective of promoting oral health.

In regard to fear according to oral health care, dental fear caused by the treatment avoidance factor was stronger among the adults who didn't receive dental checkups and who brushed their teeth in the wrong way. Dental fear that was attributed to the physiological reaction factor and the stimuli-inducing factor was severer among the adults who didn't receive dental checkups and who had no scaling experience. Overall fear was severer among the adults who didn't receive dental checkups and who changed their toothbrushes every four or more months. The factors that affected dental fear were self-rated health status, self-rated oral health status, gender, age, whether to receive dental checkups on a regular basis or not, and oral health education experience. Therefore in order to alleviate dental fear, self-rated health status should be improved, and the kind of system that encourages regular dental checkups and provides oral health education should be prepared.

On the factors to dental anxiety, the multiple regression analysis was performed. Results Demographically, the total DFS score was higher in women($25.73{\pm}8.27$) than in men. Also, AT&T was higher in women($31.01{\pm}7.05$) (p<0.05). Dental fear was intense in the group of patients who visited dental clinics only problems($25.29{\pm}8.57$) than in those regular visited($22.29{\pm}7.78$). In relation to dental experiences, the DFS score was significantly higher in children. In many cases, patients experienced therapeutic pains in children($26.40{\pm}9.54$) (p=0.004).
4) Demerol, Phenergan, Atarax사용에 있어서 그 부작용은 거의 무시할 수 있을 정도로 경한 것이였으며 환자의 심리적인 지원을 갖어 올 수 있어 아동 취급상에 큰 효과를 얻을 수 있있다.
