정보시스템의 가장 큰 목적은 시스템 사용자의 의사결정에 유용한 정보를 제공하는 것이다. 그리고 정보의 유용성 결정은 사용자들의 판단에 근거하므로 사용자의 참여는 시스템 성공에 매우 중요한 변수로 작용하고 있다. 사용자 참여에 대한 기존 연구는 사용자의 참여에 대한 이점을 설명하고 있기는 하나, 메인프레임 환경의 전통적 시스템 개발방법에 근거하고 있으므로 최종사용자 전산환경에서의 사용자 참여에 대한 새로운 조명이 필요하다. 최종사용자 전산 환경에서는 최종사용자의 책임과 권한, 정보의 내용, 친숙한 개발 도구 등으로 인해 시스템 개발 주기의 일정 단계에서의 제한적 참여가 아닌 주체적 참여가 필수적이다. 이러한 개발 환경은 참여자로서의 역할보다는 오히려 개발자로서의 역할이 훨씬 더 강조되는 개념이다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 개발자로서의 사용자 참여가 발생하는 새로운 환경을 '공동작업'이라고 제안한다. 결론적으로 본 연구를 통하여, '공동작업'의 결과로 인한 정보시스템의 성과를 어떻게 설명할 수 있는가에 초점을 두고 있다. 즉, '공동작업'이 사용자 만족에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 고찰하고자 하는 것이다.

대부분의 데이터 웨어하우스(DW)는 사용자 인터페이스보다는 데이터 통합에 보다 초점이 맞춰져 있어 최종 이용자는 불편함을 느낄 때가 많다. 최종 사용자 질의에 최적의 성능을 발휘하도록 설계된 데이터 마트가 등장하게 되었다. 그 기본 개념을 DW와 비교하여 살펴본다.

In this paper, we conceive a context-aware recommendations system for water distribution in future smart water grids, with taking the end users' profiles, water types, network conditions into account. A spectral clustering approach is developed to cluster end users into different communities, based on the end users' common interests in water resources. A back-propagation (BP) neural network is designed to obtain the rating list of the end users' preferences on water resources and the water resource with the highest prediction rating is recommended to the end users. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed scheme achieves the improved accuracy of recommendation within 2.5% errors notably together with a better user experience in contrast to traditional recommendations approaches.

본 논문은 인체의 최종효과기 (예: 손)가 주어진 공간상의 목표위치를 성취하도록 새로운 동작을 다수의 기존 동작을 혼합하여 생성하는 동작혼합기법을 제시한다. 전형적인 동작혼합기법에서는 동작들을 구성하는 관절커브들에 사용자가 적절한 가중치를 주고 이들의 가중치 합을 구하여 새로운 동작의 관절커브로 삼는다. 그러나 생성될 동작이 특정 제약조건 (예: 손의 최종위치)를 만족해야 될 경우에는 사용자가 성분동작에 적절한 가중치를 부여하는 것이 쉽지 않다. 따라서 본 논문은 원하는 동작의 타입 (예: 걷기, 손 뻗기) 과 동작의 최초 및 최종상태가 주어지연, 주어진 최초 및 최종상태를 만족하는 새로운 동작을 기존동작들을 혼합하여 자동적으로 생성하는 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법은 성분동작들의 집합을 연속적이고 완만한 곡면으로 표현하고 사용자가 생성하기 원하는 동작의 최초 및 최종상태를 정하면 이 곡면상에 있으면서 주어진 최초 및 최종상태를 만족하는 특정 동작을 구하여 원하는 동작으로 삼는다.

본 논문에서는 인터넷을 이용한 전자상거래에서 메모리 상주 DBMS를 이용하여 사용자 수가 증가하는 경우에도 최종 사용자에 대한 응답 시간을 빠르게 유지하는 새로운 캐슁 기법을 제안한다. 지금까지 인터넷 서버 시스템 구조의 성능에 관한 연구에서는 멀티-티어(multi-tier)시스템 구조가 제안되었으나 메모리 상주 DBMS를 이용한 새로운 서버 시스템 구조의 연구는 시작단계이다. 본 연구에서는 전자상거래에서 최종 사용자에게 빠른 응답시간을 보장하기 위해 전자상거래용 웹 데이터베이스에서 다수의 사용자가 공통으로 빈번하게 사용하는 hot data를 메모리 상주 DBMS가 관리하도록 하는 성능 향상 방안을 제시한다.

Researchers have suggested several methods for utilizing various kinds of services in an Internet of Things (IoT) environment. These methods require users to learn some new kinds of tools or expertise in programming. In this paper, we propose a new paradigm, which allows end-users to build IoT-service mashups based on a presentation-authoring scheme. We have also included a framework for this procedure. The design of a mashup model in this framework was based on a task-oriented service framework. Users can build a mashup of this framework in the presentation-file format, convert it into a service flow, and deploy it for running in an IoT environment. In addition, we use a case study to show how PowMash supports end-users' service mashups in an IoT environment.

오늘날 EIS는 한정된 자원을 가지고 최종 사용자에게 강건하며 동시에 유연한 상업적 데이터 마트 배급 구조를 짧은 시간안에 제공해야 한다는 어려움에 봉착해 있다. 마트 배급 구조에서 요구되는 것은 SQL에 관한 상당한 지식을 가지고 있는 전문가들로부터 항상 동일한 형식의 보고서들이나 OLAP 쿼리를 행하고자 하는 순수한 의미의 최종 사용자들에 이르는 다양한 부류의 사용자들을 지원해야 한다. 덧붙여서 이러한 구조는 ROLAP, DOLAP, 엑셀, 스프레드시트 등 모든 파일 형식상에서의 데이터 배급을 지원할 수 있을 만큼 유연해야 한다.

Organizations are investing in information systems for an ever-increasing number of end-user tasks. Extracting benefit from these investments increasingly depends on supporting effective use or information center and satisfying information center users. Information center is information intensive and the use of advanced technology may support user for delivering an unique capabilities in an organization. Information center represents an important source which seems very well suited for end-users support investigation. This research explores the end-user support factors that correlate with user satisfaction in information center. To exam user satisfaction, information supporting, service reliability, and system capabilities were identified as potential predictors of end-user support satisfaction at information center. Three hypotheses have been tested with the survey or 252 end-users examines 18 potential end-user support factors such as information supporting, service staff attitude, and system capabilities at information center. Service quality gap between perceived Importance and performance for each support factor, is computed. The relationship between these service quality gaps and user satisfaction are tested. This study presents that the level of information supporting, service reliability, and system capabilities are significantly to user satisfaction, and it is influenced by the extent of service quality gap between perceived importance and performance for each support tactor.

OTT 서비스의 이용자가 폭발적으로 증가하고 있는 지금, 사용자에게 맞춤형 상품을 추천하는 것은 해당 서비스에서 중요한 사안이다. 본 논문에서는 콘텐츠 기반 추천 시스템의 모델을 제안하고, 영화 데이터를 추가 해가며 예측력을 높일 최종적인 모델을 채택하고자 한다. 이를 위해 GroupLens와 Kaggle에서 영화 데이터를 수집하고 총 1111개의 영화, 943명의 사용자에게서 나온 71026개의 영화 평가 데이터를 이용하였다. 모델 평가 결과, 장르와 키워드만을 이용한 추천 시스템 모델의 RMSE는 1.3076, 단계적으로 데이터를 추가해 최종적으로 장르, 키워드, 배우, 감독, 나라, 제작사를 이용한 추천 시스템 모델의 RMSE는 1.1870으로 모든 데이터를 추가한 모델의 예측력이 더 높았다. 이에 따라 장르, 키워드, 배우, 감독, 나라, 제작사를 이용해 구현한 모델을 최종적인 모델로 채택, 무작위로 추출한 한 명의 사용자에 대한 영화 추천 리스트를 뽑아낸다.
