  • This paper proposes Nonlinear Interior Point Method (NIPM) including discrete control variables optimal power flow formulations. The algorithm utilizes the robustness in terms of starting point and fast convergence for large scale power system of NIPM and an introduction of rounding penalty function which is augmented in the Lagrangian function to handle discrete control variables. The derived formulation shows a simplified approach to deal with discrete control problems which is implementable in real large scale systems.

  • 전력 수요가 기하급수적으로 증가함에 따라 발전설비들의 신설의 필요성뿐 아니라 효율적인 전력수송 및 배분을 위한 송전설비의 신설의 필요성 또한 높아지고 있다. 이에 송전설비의 신설에 대한 계획 단계에서 건설비용뿐 아니라 운영비용에 대한 경제적 효과를 고려하여야 한다. 경제적인 운영비용의 평가를 수행하기 위하여, PSS/E 최적조류계산(OPF)을 활용하여 제약비용, 혼잡비용, 손실비용을 산정하는 명확한 절차를 제시한다.

  • This paper presents a method of finding the optimal operating point minimizing a given objective function with 3 phase power flow equations and operational constraints, called 3 phase optimal power flow. 3 phase optimal power flow can provide operation and control strategies for the distribution systems with distributed generation assets, which might be frequently in unbalanced conditions assuming that high penetration rate of renewable energy sources in the systems. As the solution technique, this paper adopts a standard particle swarm optimization (PSO).

  • SThis paper proposes a new dispatch scheduling algorithm in interconnected regional system operations. The dispatch scheduling formulated as mixed integer non-linear programming (MINLP) problem can efficiently be computed by generalized Benders decomposition (GBD) algorithm. GBD guarantees adequate computation speed and solution convergency since it decomposes a primal problem into a master problem and subproblems for simplicity. In addition, the inter-temporal optimal power flow (OPF) subproblem of the dispatch scheduling problem is comprised of various variables and constraints considering time-continuity and it makes the inter-temporal OPF complex due to increased dimensions of the optimization problem. In this paper, regional decomposition technique based on auxiliary problem principle (APP) algorithm is introduced to obtain efficient inter-temporal OPF solution through the parallel implementation. In addition, it can find the most economic dispatch schedule incorporating power transaction without private information open. Therefore, it can be expanded as an efficient dispatch scheduling model for interconnected system operation.

  • In this paper, we propose that the security-constrined optimal power flow (SCOPF) be solved in a decentralized framework, consisting of regions, using a price-based mechanism. We first solve the distributed OPF problem to determine the maximum secure simultaneous transfer capability of each tie-line between adjacent regions by taking only the security constraints imposed on the tie-lines into account. And then, the regional SCOPF is performed using the conventional LP approach. A description on the inclusion of security constraints with distributed OPF algorithm will be given, followed by a case study for Korea power system.

  • In this paper the concept of voltage stability operating limit in optimal power flow problem is described. A methodology of optimal power flow considering voltage stability margin is proposed based on auxiliary constraint to get a secure dispatch solution. The look-ahead margin is used to shift dispatch solutions to the secure direction in proposed framework. The a1gorithm proposed is successfully tested on IEEE 30-bus system.

  • This paper presents a optimal power flow calculation algorithm considering voltage and transient stability In this method, voltage stability margin and transient stability constraints is incorporated into a optimal power flow calculation formulation to guarantee adequate voltage and transient security levels in power system. The proposed method is applied to IEEE-24 Reliability Test System and the results shows the effectiveness of the method.

  • This paper presents an Optimal Power Flow (OPF) algorithm using Interior Point Method (IPM) to swiftly and precisely perform the five minute dispatch. This newly suggested methodology is based on Affine Sealing Interior Point Method (AS IPM), which is favorable for large-scale problems involving many constraints. It is also eligible for OPF problems in order to improve the calculation speed and the preciseness of its resultant solutions. Big-M Method is also used to improve the solution stability. Finally, this paper provides a relevant case study to confirm the efficiency of the proposed methodology.

  • 본 논문에서는 초전도 케이블의 계통 적용시 적용개소의 선정기법을 제시하였다. 초전도 케이블은 케이블의 장선화가 불가능하고, 송전용량이 대용량이어야 하며, 특히 초전도체에서 상도체로의 전이현상이 일어나는 ��치 현상이 있다. 따라서 단거리, 대용량인 소요 개소에 초전도 케이블의 적용이 이루어져야 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 이러한 초전도 케이블의 특성을 고려하여 적용개소 선정에 있어 최적조류계산을 통한 기술적 검토와 경제적 검토를 수행하였으며 또한 초전도 케이블의 교체 전인 기존 계통과의 비교를 통해 선정기법의 타당성을 제시하였다.
