3D printers, which emerged in the late 20th century, have become a key part of the fourth industrial revolution in the 21st century. Although 3D printers, the key equipment of the maker movement and the starting point of the new cottage industry in the 21st century, still reveal the limitations of mass production with low output speed and limited filament materials, the use of 3D printers by ceramic craftsmen has recently increased exponentially. However, as part of a way to overcome the discord between craftsmanship and the new technology, which has been repeated over and over in the past in craft history, the study focused on the 'plaster mold casting' technique using 3D printers. Therefore, after analyzing casting techniques of Tony Hansen, Webe van Gansbeck, Jade Crompton, and Ryu Hee-do, the potters who actively developed gypsum techniques in the world's ceramic crafts field and applied them to their own designs, I tried to find the point of convergence between 3D printers and ceramic crafts by presenting examples of effective 3D modeling methods and optimal slip casting methods using 3D printers.
Motor failure in manufacturing plays an important role in future A/S and reliability. Motor failure is detected by measuring sound, current, and vibration. For the data used in this paper, the sound of the car's side mirror motor gear box was used. Motor sound consists of three classes. Sound data is input to the network model through a conversion process through MelSpectrogram. In this paper, various methods were applied, such as data augmentation to improve the performance of classifying fault motors and various methods according to class imbalance were applied resampling, reweighting adjustment, change of loss function and representation learning and classification into two stages. In addition, the curriculum learning method and self-space learning method were compared through a total of five network models such as Bidirectional LSTM Attention, Convolutional Recurrent Neural Network, Multi-Head Attention, Bidirectional Temporal Convolution Network, and Convolution Neural Network, and the optimal configuration was found for motor sound classification.

The purpose of this research is to improve sustainable clothes care by comparing household washer's standard course and quick course. Detergency at each course was classified by laundry weight, detergent concentration, and soils. Also, fabric damage from each course was compared. Washing experiments were carried out using two types of washing machines and three types of detergents. Using the standard soiled fabrics of EMPA 108 set, detergency was compared by laundry weight, soil, and detergent concentration. Additionally, fabric damage was evaluated using the mechanical action of MA-40. The results of the research were as follows. First, a standard course, having more working time exhibited better detergency than a quick course. However, the detergency deviation under 6kg laundry weight was as low as 9.0%. Second, detergency by the type of soil was more effective in standard course than in a quick course, but hydrophilic protein soils had a small detergency deviation at 7.6%. Moreover, hydrophobic oil, complex, and particulate soils had a higher deviation at 19.7% Third, fabric damage was in proportion to operating time. Fourth, a quick course showed approximately 80% detergency regardless of the type of detergent. in the case of using 50% of the recommended allowance by the detergent manufacturer. In conclusion, reducing the operating washing time and detergent concentration is in accordance with increasing sustainability, in the case of washing with lightly soiled fabrics under 6kg of laundry weight.
The objective of this study was to manufacture three kinds of domestic sweet potato Makgeolli using a mixture design and an optimization technique. The effects of four different manufacture methods, such as simultaneous saccharification and fermentation (SSF) with or without malt and separate hydrolysis and fermentation (SHF) with or without malt were determined. The SSF methods of Makgeolli produced higher alcohol content than that of SHF methods. The sensory score was not influenced by different making methods. Fourteen experimental points were selected, and rice (10~50%), sweet potato (10~50%) and water (40~60%) were chosen as independent variables. The measured responses were sensory preference, total polyphenol content, and DPPH radical scavenging activities. The ratio of the optimum sweet potato Makgeolli mixture formulation was developed as 15.11 (rice): 44.89 (sweet potato): 40 (water) using the optimization technique. The desirability of the optimum mixture formulation was 0.839. Yellow sweet potato Makgeolli using the optimum mixture formulation produced higher soluble sugar content compared to others. Regular sweet potato Makgeolli produced higher pH. The purple sweet potato Makgeolli's total polyphenol content and DPPH radical scavenging activity were measured to be the highest at $771.91{\pm}1.42mg\;GAE/{\ell}$, $131.55{\pm}4.03%$.
This study was conducted to identify the optimal lotion manufacturing conditions with decursin and decursinol angelate of Angelica gigas Nakai extraction. Lotion was confirmed that it had viscosity (5,208±112 cPs), assay (99.71±1.01%), and pH (5.62) for 3 months. The optimization of manufacturing conditions of mixing 4 for lotion formulation were made by 22+3 full factorial design. Mixing temperature (40-80℃) and mixing time (10-30 min) were used as independent variables with three responses(assay, pH, and weight variation) as critical quality attributes (CQAs). The model for assay and weight variation identified a proper fit having a determination coefficient of the regression equation (about 0.9) and a p-value less than 0.05. Estimated conditions for the optimal manufacturing process of lotion were 61.93℃ in mixing temperature and 15.85 min in mixing time. Predicted values at the mixing temperature (60℃) and mixing time (20 min) were 100.69% of assay, 5.57 of pH, and 98.07% of weight variation. In the verification of the actual measurement the obtained values showed 100.29±0.98% of assay, 5.57±0.02 of pH, and 98.27±0.89% of weight variation, respectively, in good agreement with predicted values.

Singular value decomposition (SVD) has been widely used to identify unique features from a data set in various fields. However, a complex matrix calculation of SVD requires tremendous computation time. This paper improves the performance of a representative one-sided block Jacoby algorithm using a two-dimensional (2D) multi-core system. In addition, this paper explores an optimal multi-core system by varying the number of processing elements in the 2D multi-core system with the same 400MHz clock frequency and TSMC 28nm technology for each matrix-based one-sided block Jacoby algorithm ($128{\times}128$, $64{\times}64$, $32{\times}32$, $16{\times}16$). Moreover, this paper demonstrates the potential of the 2D multi-core system for the one-sided block Jacoby algorithm by comparing the performance of the multi-core system with a commercial high-performance graphics processing unit (GPU).

In this study, we developed cosmetic container's volume index to compare the packaging volumes of fundamental cosmetic types. Over 250 cosmetics used for this study were collected in Korean market. The written content volume and the outer volume of packaging were analyzed to establish volume index (Lcos) and a design guideline for cosmetic container. The allowable ranges, such as maximum, acceptable, and optimum ranges in the design process, were also determined using Lcos. About 37% of cosmetics were in optimum or acceptable ranges. A 15% of cosmetic packages was in maximum range for reducing their volumes. This cosmetic container's volume index may be a useful tool as a design guideline for cosmetic packaging development.

A design collaboration system for a plant project is a set of complicated multidisciplinary processes in which a large number of various engineering fields are involved. Each subsystem is related to each other as they depend on information that other subsystems create, which leads to inefficient design iterations. This study presents an optimal design collaboration system for a plant project using Design Structure Matrix (DSM). Data regarding design subsystems, parameters, etc. were obtained by expert surveys and workshops. An automatic analysis program for DSM was developed using Visual Basic Application and Matlab to provide a partitioned DSM. A case study was conducted on a furnace project; consequently, the optimal design collaboration system with five crucial iteration groups was derived.

To propose the use of skipjack processing by-product(SPB) as a food material, the optimal condition for the production of the SPB hydrolysate through enzyme treatment was obtained using RSM(Response Surface Methodology). Among eight pretenses test, Pretense $P^{TM}$ was screened primarily on the aspect of production cost and taste of the product. The extent of autolysis accompanied by endogenous enzyme in the SPB was almost negligible as compared with that of Protense $P^{TM}$ treatment. The derived model equation was within the satisfiable range as indicated by coefficient of $determination(R^2=0.9460)$ and lack of fit(p>0.1) values. From the results of RSM and ridge analysis, the conditions favoring the higllest degree of hydrolysis were: PH 7.2, $51^{\circ}C,$ reaction time of 3.94 hr, substrate concentration of 33.3%, and enzym $e_strate ratio of 0.48%.48%.8%.

This study is a practical research for setting a process of making references of design decision and guidlines of limitation in the movement from the design development to the construction design by StrAuto. StrAuto, as a parametric modeling and optimization tool for building structure, enables a quantity of design cases to be analyzed automatically by changing parameters of sturctural properties. So the designer using StrAuto can check a lot of analysis data crossing thousands of cases, see which case is out of acceptable range, and make a decision for design and optimization. In this thesis, the application of StrAuto optimization process to the residence tower UIC project shows the practical applicability in the construction design and value engineering. StrAuto optimized ideally volume of core walls by 31.3% and lead the final revised model applied to the construction design to reduce volume by 18.1%. The significance of this research is the implementation of process that the designer can quickly review a number of cases and get a direction for construction design and optimization after design development.
