Displacement Characteristics of the Square-frame Ultrasonic Motor (정사각틀 초음파 모터의 변위 특성)

  • A novel design of a simple square-frame USM (ultrasonic motor) was proposed. The stator of the motor consists of a square-frame shape elastic body and four rectangular plate ceramics. The four ceramics were attached to inner surfaces of the square frame elastic body. The same phase voltages were applied to the ceramics on horizontal surfaces, and 90 degree phase difference voltage were applied to the ceramics on vertical surfaces. To find a model that generates elliptical motion at outside of the stator, the finite element analysis program ATILA was used. The analyzed results were compared to the experimental results. As result, the model EL10EH3ET0.5CL4 which generates the maximum elliptical displacement was chosen by analyzing the resonance mode according to changes in frequency.

  • This paper proposes the electric stimulus tactile apparatus system(TESTAS) loaded on the hap-tic interface using ultrasonic motors(USMs). To touch the virtual object like wall in graphic, the 6 DOF haptic interface provides force feedback to users as if it is real. But the case of sharp virtual object like a puncture, it could not provided the sense of pain, but only the reaction-force. After the TESTAS had been loaded on this haptic interface. it could Provide not only the force but also the pain to users. To estimate the capability of TESTAS, we did experiments of three cases, one was very sharp, another was dull, the other is continuative contact.

  • This paper deals with a flat type ultrasonic motor, which uses a longitudinal-bending multi mode vibrator of rectangular form. This ultrasonic motor was designed by combination of the first longitudinal and eighth bending mode, and the motor consisted of a straight aluminum alloy bar bonded with piezoelectric ceramic elements as a driving element. The geometrical dimensions of the rectangular aluminum vibrator were determined by Euler-Bernoulli theory In the experimental device, piezoelectric ceramics ( a piece of ceramic for the L-mode, $24\;{\times}\;8\;{\times}\;1[mm]$, and four pieces for the B-mode, $12.5\;{\times}\;8\;{\times}\;1[mm]$) were attached to one side of a aluminum plate($100\;{\times}\;8\;{\times}\;1[mm]$), and the stator was supported with a plastic case. As results, no-load rpm was 50[rev./m] when applied voltage was 150[Vrms] at the resonance frequency, and as the voltage was increased, the rpm was increased.

  • In this paper, disk-type ultrasonic motor using radial and bending vibration modes is newly designed and fabricated to measure its characteristics. As the diameter of elastic body increases, the resonant frequency decreases and its resonant frequency is about 92kHz when the physical dimensions of piezoelectric ceramic and elastic body are 28mm of diameter and 2mm of thickness, and 32mm of diameter and 2mm of thickness, respectively. When the applied voltage is 20Vpp. its speed and torque are 200rpm and 1N, respectively.

  • A linear ultrasonic motor was designed by a combination of the longitudinal and bending mode. Linear ultrasonic motors are based on an elliptical motion on the surface of elastic body, such as bar or plates. The corresponding eigen-mode of one resonance frequency can be excited twice at the same time with a phase shift of 90 degrees in space and time. That is excite symmetric and anti-symmetric modes. Then it determines the thrust and speed of the motor. Linear ultrasonic motors are investigated experimentally in according to be fabricated a general classification to motor structure and material characteristic. There was the first to simulate as use of finite element analysis ANSYS 9.0. The AL-T2W8-ARM14-LEG18-ANGLE80 motor has a maxim efficiency 17 [%] under the speed 0.14 [m/s], thrust 345 [gf] and preload 280 [gf], operating frequency is 57.6 [kHz].

  • In this paper, the characteristics of a thin-type ultrasonic motor generating elliptical displacements analyzed by FEM are presented, and then fabrication of the motor is then described. The structure of the motor consists of sixteen ceramic pieces attached to the upper and bottom surfaces of an elastic body. The principle of the motor is to apply alternating voltages which have a 90 phase difference to the attached ceramics, and then elliptical displacements are generated at four edges of the elastic body. Then the rotor is moved by the elliptical displacements. In the case of a ceramic thickness of 1.5, the highest speed was obtained at 79 kHz. In the case of a ceramic thickness of 2 mm, the highest speed was obtained at 77.5 kHz. Consequently, the speed and torque of the ultrasonic motor (USM) increased linearly with increasing applied voltage.

  • 칠교놀이는 해외에서는 Tangram이라고 불리며 아주 예전부터 전해져 내려오는 세계적인 놀이이다. 친구와 여럿이서 놀이를 할 수 있을 뿐만아니라 혼자서도 즐길 수 있다. 칠교놀이는 특히 창의력 향상에 도움을 주는데 이번 논문에서는 혼자서 쉽게 칠교놀이를 즐길 수 있도록 비전시스템과 라즈베리파이를 이용해서 칠교를 카메라로 인식해 성공하면 보상으로 사탕을 지급하는 놀이를 개발해 보았다. 자판기에 동전을 넣으면, 게임을 시작해서 칠교놀이의 문제를 하나씩 맞출 때 마다 사탕 한 개가 지급되는 방식으로 4차산업혁명 시대에 걸맞는 재미있는 칠교놀이 게임을 만들어 보았다. 본 논문은 OPENCV라이브러리와 라즈베리파이 GPIO라이브러리를 사용하였다. 사용한 부품은 웹캠, 초음파 센서, 서보모터이다. 라즈베리파이를 서버로 설정하고, PC를 클라이언트로 설정하여 서로 데이터를 주고 받을 수 있게 하였다. 라즈베리파이에 OPENCV를 설치하지 않은 이유는 OPENCV가 꽤 높은 사양이 필요하다고 판단하여 비전영상처리는 PC(클라이언트)에서 진행하고, 게임의 진행상황(정답의 여부)을 라즈베리파이(서버)에 보내는 방식으로 정하였다. 반대로 라즈베리파이에서도 동전의 투입 유무를 판단하여 PC(클라이언트)에 게임 시작 신호를 보내는 방식으로 설정하였다. 언어는 라즈베리파이와 PC둘다 Pythond으로 구현하였다.

Development of seam tracking sensing system for welding environment with wall (벽이 있는 용접 환경을 위한 용접선 검출 시스템 개발)

  • Both ends of welding line are often closed by wall in the welding of ship blocks. In this research, seam tracking sensing system for butt welding in the condition with wall was developed. Seam tracking sensing system measures position of carriage from wall and detects root-pass of welding line. The system consists of the laser displacement sensors and ultrasonic sensors. The laser displacement sensor reciprocal1y rotates by the motor and measures a distance from laser sensor to the welding material. The ultrasonic sensor measures a distance between welding system and walls. The distance measured by the ultrasonic sensor is used to get X(driving) position and to determine initial and end point of the weld line. Y(weaving) and Z(height) of the weld line are obtained by the distance measured by the laser displacement sensor and the orientation of the sensor. The sensing system includes the controller that is independent from the welding carriage. The seam tracking sensing system is attached to both side of welding carriage so that interference between welding torch and sensing system can be avoided during the welding. And both side sensing system minimize dead zone. Finally, developed sensing system was adhered to welding carriage and verified usefulness by experiments.

  • Advances in technology have improved people's lives comfortably and have developed more easily, safely and simply. We usually turn on hot water to set the temperature of the water in the bathroom and gradually adjust the temperature to find the temperature we want with our skin. In this situation, I thought, "What if there is a device that can see the temperature of water with my eyes and help with the interior of the bathroom while including a safe system," and tried to create a system that values stability. For example, if a child accidentally changes the temperature of the water to high temperature while washing, he or she can get burned. And the biggest purpose is to secure better safety by adding LCDs and LEDs so that we can visually know the temperature before feeling it tactilely. As a result of the experiment, there was no error between the temperature detected by the water temperature sensor and the temperature displayed on the LCD, and no error occurred up to 27 cm in the distance measurement experiment using the ultrasonic sensor. There has been an error of about 2% since 28cm or older, but there is no significant inconvenience in using it within the category of faucets.

  • 기계적 에너지를 전기적 에너지로 변환하는 에너지 변환소자인 압전 세라믹스는 액추에이터, 변압기, 초음파모터, 초음파 소자 및 각종 센서로 응용되고 있으며, 그 응용분야는 크게 증가하고 있다. 최근에는 이러한 압전 소자를 앞으로 도래하는 ubiquitous, 무선 모바일 시대의 휴대용 전자제품, robotics, MEMS 분야 등의 대체 에너지원으로 응용하기 위한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 특히 인간의 걷기 운동 등과 같은 일상적인 동작으로 필요한 전력을 얻을 수 있고, 세라믹 소자를 이용하기 때문에 전자노이즈가 발생되지 않을 뿐 아니라 반영구적으로 사용할 수 가 있어서, 기존 이차전지를 대체 또는 보완 할 수 있는 방안도 검토되고 있다. PZT계 세라믹스는 높은 유전상수와 우수한 압전특성으로 전자세라믹스 분야에서 가장 널리 사용되어지고 있지만 $1200^{\circ}C$ 이상의 높은 소결온도 때문에 $1000^{\circ}C$ 부근에서 급격히 휘발되는 PbO로 인한 환경오염과 기본조성의 변화로 인한 압전 특성의 저하가 문제시 되고 있다. 또한 적층 세라믹스의 제작 시 구조적 특성상 내부전극이 도포된 상태에서 동시 소결이 필요한데, 융점이 낮은 Ag전극 대신 값비싼 Pd나 Pt가 다량 함유된 Ag/Pd, Ag/Pt 전극이 사용되고 있어 경제성이 떨어지는 단점을 갖게 된다. 순수 Ag 전극을 사용하거나 Ag의 비율이 높은 내부전극을 사용하기 위해서는 $900^{\circ}C$ 이하에서 소결되고 우수한 전기적 특성을 보이는 압전 세라믹스를 개발 하는 것이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 압전특성이 우수한 $(Pb_{1-x}Cd_x)(Ni_{1/3}/Nb_{2/3})_{0.25}(Zr_{0.35}/Ti_{0.4})O_3$ 계의 조성을 설계하고, 소걸온도를 낮추기 위해서 2 단계 하소법을 이용하였다. 또한 $MnCO_3$, $SiO_2$, $Pb_3O_4$ 등을 소량 첨가하여 액상 소결 특성을 부여하여 소결 온도를 감소시키려는 시도도 하였다. 분말을 볼 밀링 (ball milling)을 통해 24시간 동안 혼합하고, 혼합된 분말은 $800^{\circ}C$에서 2시간 동안 하소하였다. 하소한 분말을 다시 72시간 동안 볼 밀링 하여 최종 분말을 얻었다. 최종 분말에 PVB를 첨가하여 직경 15mm의 디스크 형태로 성형한 후, 850~$975^{\circ}C$ 범위에서 온도를 변화시키면서 소결을 하였다. 최종 분말 및 소결된 시편을 XRD분석을 통하여 상을 확인하였고, SEM을 이용하여 미세조직을 관찰 하였다. 전기적 특성을 평가하기 위하여 두께를 1mm로 연마한 시편에 Ag 전극을 도포하여 $650^{\circ}C$에서 열처리한 후, 분극처리 하였다. 압전특성은 $d_{33}$-meter로 측정하였고, impedance analyzer를 이용하여 압전 특성 (전기기계결합계수 및 기계적품질계수)을 측정 하였다. 또한 강유전체 특성 평가 장치 (Precision-LC)를 이용하여 분극-전계 특성을 평가하였다. 이상의 연구를 통하여 소결 온도가 $900^{\circ}C$인 경우에서도 양호한 압전 특성을 확보 할 수 있었다.
