  • 21세기 지식기반사회에서 영재교육의 필요성과 관심이 높아지면서 영재교육의 교육내용 역시 세분화되고 있다. 그러나 영재교육이 지나치게 지적인 측면만을 강조하면서 영재 아동의 사회성과 인간관계가 무시되는 경향이 있어 영재교육의 인지적 영역만 아니라 사회 정의적 영역 모두 중요 시 해야 할 필요성이 대두되고 있으며, 이에 대한 대안으로 현재 연구가 진행 중인 내용 중 하나가 리더십 교육이다. 영재교육은 우리 사회를 이끌어갈 차세대 리더를 길러내는데 있어 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 특히, 초등정보과학영재를 위한 리더십 교육 프로그램은 아직까지 그 자료와 연구가 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 초등정보과학영재을 위한 리더십 교육에 대한 기본적인 분석을 실시하여 향후 초등정보과학영재용 리더십 교육을 위한 참고 자료를 제공하는 것이 목표이다.

Item Analysis for Selecting Science Gifted Elementary School Student (초등과학영재교육원의 선발 문항 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the items that were used in entrance examination for science gifted education center for elementary school students by using content analysis and classical item analysis. In content analysis, objective type items exhibited matter and interpreting data were dominant. And essay type items consisted of creativity items, evaluated creative problem solving ability. Item difficulty and discrimination index, on the whole, were appropriate. Comparing with objective type, essay type has higher discrimination index. In correlation analysis between total score and score of each type of items, total score has the highest correlation with matter items, interpreting data and creativity.

  • 본 연구에서는 van Hieles의 기하학 사고 수준에 따라, GSP(Geometer's SketchPad)를 활용한 초등기하 영재교육에 활용할 수 있는 프로그램을 구안하여, 구안된 프로그램을 제주대학교 부설 과학영재교육원 초등수학반 학생들에게 적용, 그 효과를 검증해봄으로써, GSP를 이용한 초등수학 영재 교육 프로그램의 개발과 활용 가능성을 연구하는데 그 목적이 있다.

Differences in Classification Skills between The Gifted and Regular Students in Elementary Schools (초등과학영재와 일반아동의 분류 능력 차이)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the differences in classification skills shown in classification activities between the gifted and regular students in elementary schools. The subjects for the research consisted of six gifted students in an institute for the gifted for science annexed to P school district in Gangwon-do and 6 students at B and M general elementary schools. Results were as follows: The time taken for classification activities of the gifted was shorter than regular regardless of subjects for classifying. The number of standards for classifying for the gifted was more than regular students. Coefficient for measuring classification skills of the gifted was higher than regulars regardless of age. Consequently, there was a difference in the time taken for classifying and generating the number of standards and in a numerical index of classification activities performed at science classes between the science gifted and the regular students.

  • 현재 우리 나라에서는 과학영재교육원을 설립하여 초 ${\cdot}$ 중학생을 대상으로 영재 교육 프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 하지만 실제 초등학생보다는 중학생에 초점을 두고 이루어지고 있으며 프로그램의 내용 역시 일반화되어 있지 못하다. 특히 영재교육진흥법과 시행령이 통과되어 올해부터 영재 학교 ${\cdot}$ 학급이 운영되고 있는 현시점에서 영재들을 교육시킬 교수 ${\cdot}$ 학습자료의 개발이 절실히 요구되고 있다. 따라서 문제해결력중심, 수학실험중심, 수학탐구중심이면서 수학분야에 흥미가 있고 재능이 있는 아동들에게 수학적인 힘을 강화하고 자발적인 학습 태도를 배양시킬 수 있는 초등학교 중학년 영재아들을 위한 학습자료를 개발하는데 이 연구의 목적이 있다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 스크래치 프로그래밍을 활용한 초등과학 '작은 생물' STEAM 수업을 개발하고 적용하여, 초등 영재학생의 창의적 인성, 창의적 문제해결력, 과학적 태도의 향상에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 개발한 STEAM 수업은 과학 지식과 스크래치 프로그래밍을 통합한 내용적 융합의 방법을 통해 학습자가 창의적 설계와 감성적 체험을 효과적으로 경험할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 연구 대상은 26명의 초등과학 영재학생들이었으며, 양적 및 질적 접근을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 7차시의 수업을 적용한 결과, 개발한 STEAM 수업이 창의적 인성 및 과학적 태도에 효과가 있었다. 창의적 인성 하위 요소 중, 독립성에서 효과가 있었으며, 과학적 태도 측면에서는 자발성 및 인내심에서 유의한 상승을 보였다. 본 연구는 생명 과학 및 컴퓨터 프로그래밍처럼 STEAM 수업을 위한 효과적인 수단을 통합하는 일이 과학 기술에 대한 학생들의 창의성과 흥미를 신장시킬 수 있음을 제안한다.

A Comparison of Resilience and Task Commit between Elementary Gifted Students in Science and Non-gifted Students (영재교육기관별 초등과학영재와 일반학생의 회복탄력성 및 과제집착력 비교)

  • This study aims to compare resilience and task commitment between the elementary gifted students in science and non-gifted students. The subjects in this study were 132 gifted students belonged to gifted education centers or gifted classes and 147 non-gifted students, all of whom were in the 6th grade. In order to examine resilience and task commitment, a 5-point Likert scale-style questionnaire survey was conducted to the subjects. With the aim of identifying the difference between resilience and task commitment among groups, data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA and $Scheff{\acute{e}}$ test. And in order to investigate the relationship between resilience and task commitment among groups, Pearson correlation analysis was carried out. The results of this study were as follows; First, resilience was found to have a significant difference between scientifically gifted students belonged to gifted education centers and non-gifted elementary students, and between students of gifted classes and ordinary elementary students, with no significant difference between scientifically gifted elementary students belonged to gifted education centers and students of gifted classes. Second, task commitment was found to have a significant difference between scientifically gifted elementary students belonged to gifted education centers and non-gifted students. Third, there were very high correlation between resilience and task commitment among the groups.

A Case Study on Elementary Teachers' Knowledge in Teaching Method for the Science-Gifted Students (과학영재 교수방법에 대한 초등과학 영재교사의 지식에 대한 사례연구)

  • The purposes of this study is to identify the professional knowledge of the three elementary teachers for science-gifted students in teaching method. All teachers have received in-service program in gifted education, and have been recommended by their colleagues. Two teachers have instructed the gifted for more than five years, one teacher have instructed the gifted for one year and the general students for eleven years. For for this study, each teacher's lesson plans were collected, videotapes were recorded during lessons, and in-depth interview for each participant were conducted. All recoded data were transcribed and analyzed. Some unique characteristics of teaching method for the gifted were identified from the class instruction of participants. They had knowledge of teaching model for the gifted, especially Renzulli's three pod enrichment model. And they mainly used the materials developed by KEDI for the gifted. Also they had capability to be able to reconstruct them, but their lesson plans did not be realized well in their class. Some implications from findings of this study were suggested, such as teaching methods to improve the quality in the classes of the gifted in science.

Effects of Science Gifted Program on Scientific Creativity and Recognition of that Program for the Elementary School Students (과학영재교육 프로그램이 초등영재학생들의 과학창의성과 프로그램에 대한 인식에 미치는 영향)

  • The purposes of this study were to analyze the effects on scientific creativity of the Science Gifted Program, to survey recognition of gifted learners on the Program, and to obtain implications for the development direction of guidance program. The subjects of this study were 20 persons of the class for the gifted in an elementary school science, which belonged to Education Institute for the Gifted, Office of Education in Jeju city. The Science Gifted Program were applied during 28 times. The effects of the program were analyzed using the scientific creativity test, recognition questionnaire and interview of the Science Gifted Program. The results of this study were as follows. First, after applying Science Gifted Program, the scientific creativity of the gifted in science was enhanced. Especially, fluency was enhanced most remarkably. Second, after applying Science Gifted Program, students stated that they had the positive feeling about this program. The suggestions of results of recognition questionnaire of the Science Gifted Program were as follows. First, the Science Gifted Program must include experiment and research of subject. Second, it is necessary to guide concretely of the learning method before beginning of the Science Gifted Program. Third, it is necessary to control content level and quantity of the task for the student's easy comprehension.

Analysis of Instructional Objectives in a Teaching-Learning Material for Gifted Elementary Students in Science by Bloom's Revised Taxonomy of Educational Objectives (Bloom의 신 교육목표 분류학에 의한 초등 과학 영재교육 자료의 수업목표 사례 분석)

  • In order to investigate the composition and characteristics of instructional objectives in a teaching-learning material for gifted elementary students in science, 217 instructional objectives across 13 themes in 4 areas of 'energy','materials', 'life' and 'earth' were analyzed by Bloom's revised taxonomy of educational objectives. Four types of factual, conceptual, procedural and meta-cognitive knowledge in knowledge dimension were all comprised in the objectives. Conceptual knowledge was primary constituent of the objectives and the proportion of factual knowledge was the least. On the other hand, all 6 categories of 'remember', 'understand', 'apply', 'analyze', 'evaluate' and 'create' in cognitive process dimension were also comprised in the objectives. The category of 'understand' was primary constituent and that of 'remember' was the least one. While conceptual knowledge in knowledge dimension was primary constituent of the objectives in 'energy', 'materials' and 'earth' areas, procedural knowledge was the most objectives in 'life' area. The least type of knowledge was factual knowledge in all 4 areas. In cognitive process dimension, the category of 'understand' was primary constituent and that of 'remember' was the least one in all 4 areas. In conclusion, it was showed that the instructional objectives in the teaching-learning material reflected the characteristics of educational objectives for gifted students in science.
