A Study on Bulking Change of Dredged Soils by Pump Dredger (펌프준설에 의한 준설토의 체적변화에 관한 연구)

  • When settled sediments in natural condition for long time were dredged by dredging process, it is natural that bulking change between sediments and dredged soils is affected by chemical injection; coagulant. Dredged sediments used in this study were sampled in the lagoon "Young rang lake" located at the east coast Sokcho city and the bulking change of dredged soils is quantitatively analysed by changing of the clay content and the amount of the flocculant and coagulant. From the experimental results, the bulking of dredged soils increased 1.69 times on the average bulking of settled sediments in natural condition in the case of the optimum chemicals addition.

  • 댐 제방 등의 붕괴로 인하여 발생하는 급격한 유량의 변화와 흐름영역의 변화로 인한 천이류 및 도수의 발생, 불규칙한 하천단면에서 갈수기 저수기의 흐름해석은 기존의 수치해법의 한계로 인하여 수리모형실험 및 경험식 또는 단면의 단순화 등에 의존하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 자연하천에서 비선형 흐름율 계산에 불연속초기조건의 해석해인 Riemann 근사해법을 사용하여 수치적으로 안정되고 정확한 1차원 모형을 개발하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 유한체적법을 사용하였고, 수위와 유량의 계산을 위하여 요구되는 유한체적을 유출입하는 흐름율의 계산에 HLL Riemann 해법을 사용하였으며, MUSCL 기법으로 2차 정확도기법으로 확장하였다. Riemann 해법을 통하여 계산된 비선형의 흐름율과 보존 특성을 만족시켜줄 수 있는 하상 및 하폭변화로 인한 생성항을 처리하는 기법을 제안함으로서 새로운 1차원 수치해석모형을 개발하였다. 개발된 모형의 실제하천의 적용성을 확인하기 위하여 하상과 하폭이 변화하는 부정류 흐름에 적용하여 모형의 적용성 및 정확성을 검증하였다.

  • As resin impregnates through the fiber preform in vacuum assisted resin transfer molding process, the volume of fibers is changed by expansion of fiber mat according to filling time. It causes not only the change in dimension but also the decrease of mechanical properties of the composite product. Moreover, it results in the economic loss by increase of the used amount of resin especially in the large product such as wind turbine blade. In this study, the ways to control fiber volume fraction were investigated by both the experimental and theoretical analyses on the expansion of fiber preform as the preform was impregnated by resin in the VARTM process. Two kinds of swelling stage were observed as flow front progressed, which was analyzed by comparing the experimental and simulation results. The process parameters are expected to be optimized by investigating the swelling behavior of fiber preform in the manufacturing process of the composite product.

Volume Change of the Dredged Materials in the Coastal Lagoon with Coagulants and Flocculants Injection (응집제 및 응결제 주입에 의한 석호 준설물질의 체적변화)

  • There is a volume change between the sediments and the dredged materials because the dredged materials is fully disturbed by the dredger and settled in the basin from the stabilized condition. The volume of the dredged materials is also affected by the coagulants and flocculants (hereafter C & F) which was used to speed up the settling of the suspended solids. In this study, the volume change of the dredged materials is analysed in detail due to the injection amount of the C & F. The dredged materials were sampled in the lagoon located in the East coastal zone, and the volume change of the samples is quantitatively analysed by the laboratory test due to the change of the clay content and the amount of the C & F. The optimal amounts of the C & F is determined by showing the minimal volume change due to C & F injection. From the experimental results, the volume of the dredged materials is increased 1.68 times on an average and the volume change rate is slightly increased, i.e., negligible, as the clay content increase in the case of the C & F injection.

유전율을 이용한 토양오염 모니터링 기법의 제안

  • 지반오염을 조사하기 위해서는 시추작업을 통하여 시료를 채취하는 방법이 일반적이지만, 실시간으로 원위치에서 다양한 오염물질들의 오염도 변화를 체계적으로 모니터링하는 것은 대단히 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 Frequency Domain Reflectometry(FDR) 장비를 고안하여 지반의 유류오염을 파악하기 위한 유전율 측정법의 실험적 접근을 시도하였다. 구체적으로 포화 및 불포화 매질에 대한 오염도의 측정 및 오염도와 체적함수비의 관계를 측정하여 유전율 반응으로부터 매질의 물성치를 파악할 수 있는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 변압기에 사용되는 절연유의 열화정도를 변압기의 운전정지 없이 실시간으로 측정할 수 있는 전기용량을 이용한 센서를 개발하였다. 개발된 전기용량형 센서는 3-전극형의 구조와 변압기에 센서의 외부상자가 접지 될 때 2중의 정전차폐가 되도록 하여 외부로부터의 잡음에 영향을 받지 않도록 하였다. 또한 변압기에서 절연유의 온도변화에 따른 유전율 변화를 보상하기위하여 기준용 센서와 측정용 센서를 한개의 변압기에 장착함으로 온도보상이 되도록 하였다. 제작된 센서는 변압기에서 절연유의 사용기간에 따른 유전율의 변화를 정확히 측정하였으며, 절연유의 체적저항의 변화도 감지 할 수가 있다. 따라서 센서에서 출력되는 신호를 phase sensitive detector를 사용하여 유전율의 변화로 혹은 체적저항의 변화로도 나타내 보일 수가 있다.

A Study on Unsaturated Permeable Properties of the Soil-Bentonite Mixtures (Soil-Bentonite 혼합토의 불포화 투수특성 연구)

  • This study presents the results of a laboratory investigation performed to study physical properties of soil-bentonite mixtures through the vertical permeation test and dielectric measurement test using Frequency Domain Reflectometry system for the liner of waste landfill. For the laboratory experiments, geotechnical testing was conducted on pre-mixed soil-bentonite which is consisted of standard sand, weathered granite soil and bentonite for estimating physical parameters such as a volumetric water content, void ratio and dielectric constant. In experiment results, initial soil-bentonite mixing rate has an effect of change of volumetric water content. Also change of volumetric water content of a soil-bentonite mixture is clearly detected to measure a response of dielectric constant. In order to estimate an unsaturated permeable property of soil-bentonite mixtures, equations between volumetric water content and dielectric constant were derived from this study.

Detection of Abnormal Area of Ground in Urban Area by Rectification of Ground Penetrating Radar Signal (지하투과레이더 신호의 보정을 통한 도심지 내 지반 이상구간의 검측)

  • The subsidence of ground in urban area can be caused by the occurrence of the cavity and the change in ground volumetric water content. The objective of this study is the detection of abnormal area of ground in urban area where the cavity or the change in ground volumetric water content is occurred by the ground penetrating radar signal. GPR survey is carried out on the test bed with a circular buried object. From the GPR survey, the signals filtered by the bandpass filtering are measured, and the methods consisting of gain function, time zero, background removal, deconvolution and display gain are applied to the filtered signals. As a result of application of the signal processing methods, the polarity of signal corresponds with the relation of electrical impedance of the cavity and the ground in test bed. In addition, the relative permittivity calculated by GPR signal is compared with that of predicted by volumetric water content of the test bed. The relative permittivities obtained from two different methods show similar values. Therefore, the abnormal area where the change in ground volumetric water content is occurred can be detected from the results of the GPR survey in case the depth of underground utilities is known. Signal processing methods and estimation of relative permittivity performed in this study may be effectively used to detect the abnormal area of ground in urban area.

A Study on the Calibrate Method of Volumetric Moisture Content Measuring Sensor(CS616) (TDR(Time Domain Reflectometry) 방식의 함수센서 (CS616) 보정방법에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구는 토양의 함수비를 측정하기 위하여 TDR(Time Domain Reflectometry, 시간영역 광전자파 분석기) 방식의 함수센서(CS616)에 대한 올바른 보정시험을 제안하기 위하여 피복두께, 센서간 간섭 영향, 온도의 영향 및 다짐율 변화에 대한 실내 시험을 수행하였다. 시험 결과 피복두께, 센서간 간섭 영향 및 온도의 영향은 체적함수비의 크기에 미치는 영향은 크지 않은 것으로 나타났으며, 오히려 보정시험시 정확한 체적함수비 조건을 유지하는 것이 중요할 것으로 사료된다. 또한 보정시험을 수행할 때 다짐율까지 고려한 시험을 수행하는 노력에 비하여 얻어지는 체적함수비의 정확도의 크기는 다짐율과 주기를 고려하여 얻어진 회귀식을 살펴보면 주기에 비하여 상대적으로 영향이 작은 것으로 사료된다.
