Systematic Review of an Intervention Program for the Improved Reading Comprehension of Elementary School Students (초등학생의 읽기이해력 향상 중재프로그램에 대한 체계적 문헌고찰)

  • This study analyzed experimental studies of intervention programs provided to improve reading comprehension of elementary school students using a systematic review research method. Cochrane's handbook was applied, and key questions were formulated according to the PICOTS-SD. The inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied to 1,610 papers searched in KCI, and the final 18 cases were selected for analysis. The risk of bias was evaluated using the 'RevMan5' tool provided by Cochrane. As a result of the evaluation, the risk of bias was low in most areas. And for the qualitative analysis of these papers, a data summary table was prepared. As a result, the types of intervention programs were diverse, and in many cases, upper grade students were applied. The size of the experimental group ranged from 6 to 29, and there were more QED-based studies than RCT-based studies. The most mediation time was 40 minutes, and the number of mediation sessions was 8 to 24. And in all studies, the intervention programs were found to be effective in improving reading comprehension.

A Systematic Review on the Domestic Research of Library Anxiety (국내 도서관 불안 연구에 관한 체계적 문헌고찰)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for future library anxiety research in Korea that can contribute to resolving library anxiety by examining research trends on the Library Anxiety. For the purpose, a systematic review was selected to derive answers to research questions by examining and analyzing the trends of preceding researches, and the final 23 studies according to the PRISMA procedure were designated as analysis targets. As a result, in the research topics, there were 12 studies (52.2%) measured library anxiety by group, 18 studies (78.0%) were applied research in the type of research. and in the research methods, quantiative research was mainly used in 18 studies (82.6%). Through the analysis results, it suggests furthur research directions for domestic library anxiety.

  • This study explored the effectiveness of virtual reality education interventions for nursing students in adult nursing practicum. This systematic review extracted intervention methods, research topics, outcome variables, and evidence synthesis of effectiveness. Seven studies were extracted from the databases of PubMed, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, and RISS. This study showed effects on knowledge, performance, attitude, critical thinking, self-efficacy, information assessment ability, problem-solving ability, self-confidence, and efficiency of nursing students. Therefore, virtual reality educational intervention contribute to enhance the competencies in adult nursing practicum.

Pressure Ulcer preventive intervention and risk factors for pressure ulcers : A review of the literature (욕창예방을 위한 중재와 영향요인 : 체계적 문헌고찰)

  • This study was to perform a systematic review to examine pressure ulcer preventive intervention and risk factors. PRISMA flow diagram in accordance with the selection process of this research was done. The literatures were retrieved from domestic and international study from 2010 to June, 2019. A total of 30 literatures were selected according to the selection criteria of this study. The literatures were searched electronically using the search engine with the key words of 'pressure ulcers', 'bedsore', 'decubitus ulcers', 'intervention', 'prevention'. The results of this study suggest that mediation with position change and pressure reduction device reduced the incidence of pressure sores and was important for prevention. Based on the results of this study, we provide basic data for preventive intervention of pressure ulcers that are appropriate for each medical institution.

Occupational Therapy for Community Mobility in Stroke Patients : Systematic review (뇌졸중 환자의 지역사회이동을 위한 작업치료 중재: 체계적 고찰)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study was to analyze occupational therapy intervention on the community mobility for stroke patients, and to provide evidence of intervention in the clinical fields. Methods : A systematic review was executed according to the PRISMA checklist. The accessed database was PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library (CENTRAL), ProQuest Dissertations & thesis (PQDT), RISS, and KoreaMed. We included the articles published from 2005 to September 2018. RoBANS checklist was used to evaluate the quality of the articles. Included articles, totally eight, were categorized according to the type of intervention. Results : The study design of the literature was varied from two-group randomized trial, quasi-experimental study, case-control trial, one group pre-post comparison study, and cross-sectional study. In the evidence level, 6 articles were included in level II (75%). The percentage of low risk of bias in each article ranged from 52.5%~87.5%. Four studies (50%) provided intervention based on virtual reality or virtual environment. The three (37.5%) provided intervention based on the protocol, and the other (12.5%) did wheelchair training. All studies reported significant effects of the intervention. Conclusion : This systematic review provided evidences to use proper intervention in the clinical fields. Various type of studies should be conducted to prove the effect of occupational therapy intervention for community mobility.

  • The purpose of this review was to evaluate the effects of diabetes management program using mobile appllication. A systematic review using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses: the PRISMA Statement was conducted. Studies published between 2004 and 2014 were reviewed using the following databases: Ovid, CINAHL and Cochrane library. The keywords used were (app*OR mobile) AND (nurs* OR health* OR medic*) AND (diabet*). Selected studies were assessed for methodological quality using Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN)' Checklist. Three hundred seventy five studies were identified, All the 3 studies found mobile application as a valid strategy on clinical usefulness in diabetes management. This review provides updated evidence for app-based management program in diabetes management. Further studies are needed to increase generalizability using randomized controlled trials, enough sample size. In addition, valid measurements are needed to assess the main outcomes.

An Exploratory Study on Online Education Scaffolding Stategy and Effect at the University Using a Systematic Review (대학 온라인 교육의 스캐폴딩 전략 및 효과 탐색을 위한 체계적 문헌고찰)

  • The interest in online education has increased due to the spread of COVID-19. Especially, in the online environment, the importance of scaffolding, which refers to the help and support provided by instructors or peer learners, is being emphasized. This study aimed to review the antecedents of online scaffolding at the university of Korea through the method of systematic review. For this purpose, we collected 578 studies conducted from 2010 to 2021 and selected 7 studies according to the criteria of selection and exclusion. As a result, we found general features, types, and effects of online scaffolding at the university of Korea. Based on these results, we discussed suggestions and implications for a follow-up study. We hope many empirical kinds of research will be conducted about online scaffolding at the university.

Related Factors to Korean Hospital Nurses in Burnout during the COVID-19 outbreak: A Systematic Review

  • In this paper, we propose a crucial issue to require further management plan for Korean hospital nurses in burnout during COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to conduct a systematic review of factors related to hospital nurses in burnout for the COVID-19 outbreak. Appropriate studies in the recent three years were selected from database. To perform a systematic review, the databases of RISS, KISS, DBPIA, and Kyobo scholar were searched using the key words, 'nurse in burnout' or 'burnout for nurse'. Fifty-five references were checked, but only seven studies were decided inclusion criteria to review. It was founded that Korean hospital nurses felt moderate or higher burnout level for COVID-19 pandemic. We were confirmed that related factors of hospital nurses in burnout were personal characteristics, physical symptom, depression, compassion satisfaction, compassion fatigue, and resilience, and occupational characteristics, shift work and job stress. It may be necessary to provide regulating programs for hospital nurses in burnout and to set up a policy and guidelines so as to reduce burnout of nurses working.

Economic evaluation of manual therapy for musculoskeletal diseases: a systematic review and narrative synthesis of evidence (근골격계 질환의 수기요법에 관한 경제성 평가: 체계적 문헌 고찰 및 근거 합성 연구)

  • 연구 목적 : 본 연구는 근골격계 질환에 대한 수기치료가 갖는 경제적 효과를 체계적으로 평가해 보기 위해 시행되었다. 연구 방법 : 2017년 2월 2일까지 국내외 관련 문헌을 체계적으로 검색 하였으며, 연관된 체계적 고찰 논문의 참고문헌을 조사하였다. 두 명의 연구자가 독립적으로 문헌을 선택하고, 비뚤림 위험 평가 및 경제성 평가 질 평가, 자료 추출을 시행하였다. 연구 결과 : 총 3,327개의 논문을 검토하여 최종적으로 18개의 무작위 대조 연구가 포함되었다. 경제성 평가는 수기요법과 다른 치료방법간의 유효성 비교를 통해 시행되었다. 요부 통증, 견관절 통증 및 외측 상과염 치료에 있어 침치료, 견인치료, 주사치료, 일반의 치료, 척추 안정화 기법 및 통증관리 치료보다 비용 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. 또한 또한, 수기치료는 경항통, 흉통, 고관절염 혹은 슬관절염, 경추신경병증 및 수부손상 치료에 있어 일반적 치료, 물리치료, 자가 치료 프로그램, 견인 치료에 비하여 효과적인 치료인 것으로 확인되었다. 결론 : 18개의 논문 중 10개의 논문에서 근골격계 질환 치료에 있어 수기치료가 경제적으로 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 다른 치료방법에 비해 수기요법이 근골격계 질환에 있어서 경제적 가치가 있음을 시사하는 내용이다. 하지만, 근골격계 질환 수기치료의 경제성 평가에 대한 선행 연구는 전반적으로 부족한 실정으로, 보다 정확한 결과를 제시하고 정책결정을 위한 효과적인 제안을 위해서는 체계적인 추가 연구가 필요하다 사료되는 바이다.

A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis of the effect on Newborn Care Education Program (신생아 돌봄 교육 프로그램의 효과 -체계적 문헌고찰 및 메타분석-)

  • This study aimed to validate the effect of newborn care education program to parenting confidence, knowledge and self-efficacy using systematic review and meta-analysis. Literature search was used, Library of Congress, KERIS, KISS, domestic Journal, and until 2016, a total of 11 articles were used for meta-analysis to convergence this kind of results. As the result of the meta-analysis, there was no statistically significant difference in the overall effect of parenting confidence on the neonatal care education program, but there was a statistically significant difference in the sub-group analysis. The overall effect of knowledge and self-efficacy was statistically significant. Based on the results of this study, it will be helpful to understand the newborn care education program and the basis for the effect of education. The research that measures the related variables should be repeated and generalization should be planned in the future research.
