This study explored the changes in nutrition knowledge and eating habits formation of infants through vegetable gardening activities in early childhood education institutions. children from H nursery school located in Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do, and H nursery school located in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, were divided into 18 experimental groups and 18 people from comparison group and pre-post analysis was conducted. The research tool analyzed the data collected using the nutrition knowledge measuring tool and the eating habits measuring tool using the program SPSS, and the analysis method was conducted with t-test(verification) to verify the homogeneity of the experimental group and the comparative group. Analysis result, first. Infants aged 3 to 4 in experimental groups who have experienced vegetable gardening activities have higher nutritional knowledge than infants in comparison groups. In the case of nutrition knowledge, there was no statistically significant difference between the experimental group and the comparative group before the vegetable gardening activities were carried out. But after the experimental treatment, the experimental group showed statistically significant differences in improving the concept of nutritional knowledge (the reason for eating food, the type and function of food, hygiene, and garden) in the post-examination of the comparative group. Second, it can be seen that infants aged 3 to 4 in experimental groups who experienced vegetable gardening activities showed significant differences in table manners and eating behavior among sub-factors of eating habits compared to infants in comparison groups who had never experienced them. In conclusion, vegetable gardening activities are educationally useful in terms of expecting positive changes in the nutrition knowledge and eating habits formation of infants.
The purpose of this study was to identify the utilization of school health room and the health problems among elementary and secondary school students as years go by sex, school locations, and to analyze the frequency and difficulty of nursing interventions performance that school health teachers was available to resolve students' health problems at school health room. Participants were fifty nine school health teachers with more than 3 years of career. As the years go by, utilization of school health room has gradually increased. Utilization of female than male was higher than 200%, i.e. Elementary school girls in urban area were the highest rate, and secondary school boys in urban area were the lowest. In male, utilization of school health room was in order the skin and subcutaneous, musculoskeletal, and digestive problems, and also was in order the skin and subcutaneous, digestive, and musculoskeletal problems in female. Utilization of in urban elementary school was higher on patricular health problem than in suburban areas. Nursing interventions of most often using were self-care management & education and counselling. Nursing intervention was the highest degree of difficulty in self-harm, seizure, circulatory health problems. In conclusions, utilization of school health room has gradually increased; therefore workload of school health teacher aggravated. To perform a heath teacher to effectively operate the general and emergency health issues, the expansion of qualified school health teachers is needed, and the standardized guidelines and refresher training programs is required.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of fluoride varnish on prevention of enamel demineralization. Eighty bovine enamel blocks were divided randomly into 4 groups of 20 specimens: Group I served as the control with no topical application of fluoride. Group II was treated with APF gel for 4 minutes. Group III was treated with Fluor $Protector^{(R)}$. Group IVV was treated with $CavityShield^{TM}$. After 24 hours of treatment, samples were brushed with a soft bristled tooth brush to stimulate normal mechanical wear of varnish. Early caries lesions were produced by placing each specimen into demineralization solution at pH 4.0 for 48 hours. Then the optical density of the lesions was measured by light fluorescence induced by plasma light and the surface microhardness were measured by the vicker's hardness test. The results were as follows: 1. The optical densities of group III, IV were significantly higher than that of group II, but no significant difference was noted between group III and IV. 2. The surface microhardness of group IV was the highest, followed by group III, II, and I(p<0.05). 3. There were no significant differences between group III and IV in optical density. However, the surface microhardness of group IV was significantly higher than that of group III. The results of present study indicate that the fluoride varnish is more effective than APF gel for prevention of dental caries.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of education of natural disaster on eco-friendly attitude of children in integrated class in the lower grades in elementary school. For the above mentioned purpose, 2 children with developmental delay and 45 general children enrolled in two integrated classes in the first grade in C Elementary School located in G City. The class that wanted to participate in this program was designated as an experimental group and the other class as a comparative group. Total 18 times of session of experimental treatment were performed during the second semester of the first grade. The effect of education of natural disaster was measured by using the tool revised and adapted by Heoh, Yun Jeong on the basis of CATES-PV designed by Musser and Diamond. As results, it was appeared that education of natural disaster was effective to increase eco-friendly attitude of children in integrated class in the lower grades in elementary school. The results that ability and attitude which were goals of the current education related to environment such as love and concern for animals and plants, life respect consciousness, preference for natural environment rather than artificial environment, conservation of nature and resources saving etc of children who received education of natural disaster suggest necessity to rethink the meaning and scope about education of natural disaster for Korean children in the preset.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of implicit and explicit situation awareness instruction on decision making and event related brain potentials. Psychophysiological data obtained from 36 intermediated level tennis players whose National Tennis Rating Program(NTTP) belong 2 to 2.5 were compared. Participants were randomly assigned to one of three experimental groups: (1) implicit situation awareness, (2) explicit situation awareness, and (3) control group. A total of 90 clips were presented via a beam project screen, and participants pressed one of three jelly bean buttons to indicate the direction of ball hit. Dependent measures were the latencies and amplitudes of P300 on Pz, Cz, and Fz. The results of this study indicated that participants in the implicit situation awareness produced tenser P300, than participants in the explicit situation awareness group. The findings also indicated that single defense showed longer P300 latencies than single attack as well as double defense. The P300-amplitude of treatment groups were longer than control group. The Cz area showed shorer P300 latencies than Pz and Fz areas. In addition, single defense situation demonstrated longer P300 latencies than single attack and double defence situations. Based on this study, it is believed that implicit and explicit situation awareness instruction influence decision making in different ways.

The cooperative learning movement began as parts of the desegregation process in America, aiming at increasing academic achievement and social skills among diverse students. Cooperative learning may be defined as a classroom learning environment in which students work together in small heterogeneous groups. Although many studies have shown the effectiveness of cooperative learning in a variety of subjects, relatively few have focused on biology. In this study, we investigated the effects of cooperative learning on students' achievement and attitude of middle school biology students. For this purpose this study compared three sections. In one section, a cooperative learning strategy was used. Second section was taught in small groups and the third section was instructed in the traditional method. The unit 'Structures and functions of animals' was used. A total of 188 students were included in this study. These classes were treated for 10hours during 10weeks from September 1 to November 28, 1999. The pretests-posttests control group design was applyed. An analysis of covariance(ANCOVA) was used as the data analysis procedure. Significant differences were found in the achievement and the attitude of students using cooperative learning strategy(p<.05) when compared to traditional classroom structure and small group learning. Cooperative learning was more effective in the low-ability and average-ability students than the high-ability students in the science achievement. Cooperative learning is effective in both male and female students. And students in the cooperative group achieved better than those in other groups in affective, behavioral, and intention-cognitive domain of science attitude.
This study is a survey research to improve the fire-fighting ambulance interior design safer and more efficient to identify the type of structure and functional problems 119 ambulance. When the paramedics and four degrees to over 755 people modify the target report and related literature on the future development of an ambulance for patient safety at the 2007 British National Patients Safety Agency (NPSA) and was used as a complementary tool. The collected data were processed using the SPSS 20.0 statistical program, the general characteristics as frequency analysis, percentage, ambulance interior design improvement-related items were analyzed using the chi-square verified. As a result, this research elicited that vans converted fire ambulance cars have a problem with the narrow interior space and truck converted fire ambulance cars should be comfortable to drive in ride quality. In addition, we also found that the improvement of paramedics treatment position and the paramedic's personnel safety belt are required. Based on these results, we propose that a number of improvements are needed in the fire-fighting ambulance car.
The purpose of this study is to develop basic data in improving quality of life along with the enhancement in oral health, by arranging a plan for being able to reduce dental fear given the dental treatment in the future by grasping the subjective oral health recognition & status, and the dental fear level of the dental treatment field targeting patients of visiting dental clinics in Busan and Gyeongnam area. In the whole items of DFS, a sense of fear was higher in women than men. A factor of avoiding dental treatment stood at 1.72 points in men and 2.10 points(p<0.001) in women. A factor of response to stimulation stood at 2.75 points in men and 3.20 points(p=0.001) in women. A fear level according to dental kind was high in a factor of avoiding implant treatment(p=0.015), a factor of avoiding orthodontic treatment(p=0.002), physiological reaction(p=0.009), a factor of avoiding prosthesis treatment(p=0.014), a factor of avoiding pulpectomy treatment(p=0.005), a factor of physiological reaction(p=0.017), a factor of avoiding periodontal therapy(p=0.013), a factor of physiological reaction(p=0.004), and a factor of avoiding treatment given not receiving regular checkup(p=0.027). In the above results, to reduce dental fear, there will be a need of developing diverse programs and oral health eduction for regular checkup and preventive treatment.
This study was conducted to prove the effectiveness of home-linked indirect smoking prevention education in early childhood in improving the awareness, skills, attitudes and willingness to protect themselves from smoking. 208 5-year-old children were recruited from three kindergartens located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Children in the experimental group received home-linked indirect smoking prevention education. Children in the comparative group, received indirect smoking prevention education in kindergarten. Children in the control group received general health education. The results revealed that all groups showed significant differences between pretest and posttest in awareness of second-smoke, attitudes and willingness to stop smoking. However, the skills to protect oneself from second-smoke showed a significant difference in the experimental group and the comparative group. The values of changes among the groups showed high increases in the order of experimental, comparative, and control groups. This shows that home-linked education had considerable positive effects on indirect smoking prevention.

The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of the application of elastic compression stockings and lower extremities exercise on edema and pain of lower extremities in hospital nurses. The participants were 30 hospital nurses working at a general hospital. The participants were categorized into three groups such as, 10 for an experimental group of the application of the elastic compression stocking, 10 for another experimental group of the application of Lower extremities exercise and 10 for a control group. Edema of the lower extremities were measured in terms of the girths of ankles and calves. And pain of the lower extremities were measured in terms of the score by NRS(Numerical Rating Scale). The data were analyzed with Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, ${\chi}^2$-test and ANOVA to identify the participants' characteristics, SPSS Win 21.0 program was used for analysing. There are significant differences in lower extremity edema among the experimental group of lower extremities exercise, experimental group of elastic compression stocking and control group was supported(Rt Calf F=0.645, p=.000, Lt Calf F=21.941, p=.000). There are significant differences in lower extremity pain the experimental group of lower extremities exercise, experimental group of elastic compression stocking and control group was supported(Rt: F==7.320, p=.000 Lt: F=10.623, p=.000). In conclusion, in has been appeared that the lower extremities exercise and wearing elastic compression stocking have effedted in relieving low extremity edema and pain scale for nurses.
