Development of a New Design Course to Apply Problem Based Learning in Mechanical Engineering: Product Dissection and Design Reasoning (기계공학에서의 PBL적용 교과과정 개발: 제품해체 설계추론)

  • Recently, a new education paradigm 'Self-directed Learning' has attracted considerable attention. Problem-Based Learning (PBL) has been recognized as methodology to help students expand scientific thinking and knowledge. improve applicability, develope critical knowledge, and creatively solve problems. There have been significant efforts to develope PBL-based courses in mechanical engineering. A new PBL-based, multi-disciplinary course 'Product Dissection and Design Reasoning' has been developed in this paper. The course examines the way in which products and machines work and is intended to show freshman or sophomore level students how fundamental physical principles relate to engineering practice through hands-on dissection experience : thus, the course emphasizes the importance of knowledge of the fundamental physics for design reasoning. The primary role of this course is to develop creative design manpower. This paper describes the philosophy and content of this course and presents results from one year of development.

전향력 탐구 활동 프로그램이 고등학생들의 창의성에 미치는 효과

  • 본 연구에서는 고등학생들의 창의성을 신장시키고자 렌줄리의 3단계 학습모형에 적용하여 전향력 탐구활동 프로그램을 개발 하였고, 현장에 적용 후 그 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 실험집단에는 창의성 신장을 위한 전향력 탐구활동 프로그램을 적용하였고, 통제집단에는 전통적인 교수 학습을 적용하였다. 창의성의 신장 정도와 전향력 개념의 이해 정도를 측정하고자 사전 사후 검사로 창의성은 토렌스의 창의성 검사(TTCT)로, 전향력 개념은 성취도 검사로 알아보았다. 그 결과 실험집단이 전향력 개념 성취도 검사 결과 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타나고, 창의성 검사(TTCT)에서도 실험집단의 사전 검사보다 사후 검사에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 학생들이 본 수업 프로그램의 과정을 통해 평소 어렵다고 생각했던 전향력 개념을 쉽게 이해할 수 있었기 때문이다. 이러한 연구 결과는 전향력 탐구 활동 프로그램은 고등학생들의 창의성을 신장시키고 전향력 개념에 대한 이해도를 높일 수 있었다고 볼 수 있다.

기술융합 촉진을 위한 혁신정책의 방향

  • 기술융합은 연구자간 사회적 상호작용의 결과 일어나는 일종의 기술혁신 현상인데, 융합과정에서 수명주기가 존재한다. 기술능력을 가진 개인이나 조직의 학습${\rightarrow}$기술의 통합 및 혁신 ${\rightarrow}$안정화 과정을 거치는 융합 수명주기를 갖는다. 조직학습(집단학습)은 기술융합의 주요한 성공요소로 작용한다. 이 때문에 기술융합의 성공을 위해서는 프로젝트 리더의 리더십이 중요하다. 기술융합 프로젝트 리더는 개별연구자나 연구그룹이 보유하는 인지맵(cognitive map)을 통합하는 노력이 필요하다. 이를 위해서는 조직 및 개인의 네트워크 구축과 학습역량 강화가 중요하다. 정부는 기술융합 촉진을 위해서 학회, 협회 등 중심연계조직을 육성해야 한다. 그리고 프로젝트 리더의 리더십 함양프로그램을 운영해야 한다. 장기적인 관점에서는 학제간 벽을 뛰어 넘는 대학원 교육의 혁신이 필요하다. 공공부문은 창의적이고 개방적인 연구환경을 조성해야 하겠다.

A Study of Teaching and Learning Strategies for a Creative Sight-singing and Ear-trainig Program (창의적인 시창·청음 프로그램을 위한 교수·학습 전략 연구)

  • This study was to provide teaching and learning strategies to develop a creative sight-singing and ear-training program that aims to design student-centered education. Therefore, the characteristics of the sight-singing and ear-training as well as teaching and learning methods were analyzed through the literature review, and the following meaningful strategies were derived. First, a student-centered teaching environment was promoted by diversifying the teaching environment through small group activities and establishing a sustainable learning environment using MyEarTraining and Musescore applications. Second, teaching and learning strategies were proposed to improve sight-singing and ear-training skills by applying for various teaching and learning methods and cultivating the qualities of a pre-service teacher. This study is expected to be used as meaningful fundamental data in developing specific teaching and learning processes for a creative sight-singing and ear-training program.

The Effects of 'Airplane' Science Program for the Gifted Elementary Students' Self-Directed Learning Attitude, Attitude toward Laboratory Work and Creative Personality ('비행기' 주제의 과학영재프로그램이 초등영재의 자기주도적 학습 태도, 실험활동에 대한 태도, 창의적 성향에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the 'airplane' science program based on Renzulli's Enrichment Triad Model for the gifted elementary students and investigate the effects of the program on attitude toward self-directed learning attitude, attitude toward laboratory work, and creative personality. Participants were 37 gifted students of local elementary school gifted classrooms. The results of this study were as follows: First, self-directed learning attitude was improved significantly including all sub-areas. Second, the attitude toward laboratory work was improved significantly including all sub-areas. Third, creative personality was improved significantly including all sub-areas. Finally, students' satisfaction about program had an average of 4.52 out of 5 points. Boys showed higher satisfaction on 'program management' and 'teacher's activities' than girls.

  • 본 논문은 유아기 언어 발달 시기에 한글의 기초 단계를 학습하기 위해 기존의 학습지 형태의 한글 교육 선행 학습과는 달리 시각적, 청각적 효과로 몸의 감각을 통해 창의적이고 동적으로 사물을 배우며 이러한 자극으로 정보를 기억하고 축적할 수 있는 한글 학습 교육용 콘텐츠를 개발하고자 한다. 이는 유아의 호기심을 자극할 뿐만 아니라 모바일 플랫폼과의 상호작용을 통해 재미와 즐거움을 키우며 나아가 지식을 얻을 수 있다. 더불어 유아가 한글 학습의 놀이 과정을 통해 창의력을 높이고, 다방면으로 문제를 해결할 수 있는 능력을 키울 뿐만 아니라 학습을 통해 스스로 이끌어가는 자기 주도적 학습 능력을 키울 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 오토마타를 활용한 창의 융합 교육으로 학생들에게 기술과 공학 그리고 예술의 융합적 상상력을 불어넣을 수 있는 교육과정을 제안하고 이를 통해 인지능력과 감정조절, 그리고 공감 능력을 향상시키는 것을 가능하게 하는 사회정서학습인 SEL(Social and Emotional Learning)을 수행할 수 있도록 한다. 제안하는 프로그램을 통해 학생들의 감성을 자극하고 새로운 생각을 유도함으로써 올바른 인성을 가질 수 있도록 한다.

  • The six core competencies included in the mathematics curriculum Revised in 2015 are problem solving, reasoning, communication, attitude and practice, creativity and convergence, information processing. In particular, the creativity and convergence competency is very important for students' enhancing much higher mathematical thinking. Based on the creativity and convergence competency, this study selected the five elements of the creativity and convergence competency such as productive thinking element, creative thinking element, the element of solving problems in diverse ways, and mathematical connection element, non-mathematical connection element. And also this study selected the content(chapter) of the graph in the seventh grade mathematics textbook. By the subject of the ten kinds of textbook, this study examined how the five elements of the creativity and convergence competency were shown in each textbook.

  • In general, it is this variety of learning methods and teaching tools for embedded software development and deployment training. In this paper, I want to take advantage of the smart robot to learn creative problem-solving methods that are required in embedded software engineering education. It analyzes the effect of creative engineering education with the smart robot and presents for RSPM Engineering Embedded SW teaching methods to improve NCS education. Embedded SW engineering education in a more creative and smart robot, EV3 system was utilized to improve SW programming skills. In this paper, we utilize the EV3 system to the parish through the creative RSPM engineering courses through the survey and analysis of the impact level, interests and program skills and influence in embedded SW engineering education propose for successful embedded software programming skills potential.

The Influences of Inquiry Learning-Based Analogical Experiments on Experimental Design Processes of Science-Gifted Students (비유 실험을 활용한 탐구학습이 과학영재의 실험설계 과정에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, we developed analogical experimental activities to foster scientific creativity in inquiry learning and applied them to 7th grade science-gifted students. The influences of inquiry learning-based analogical experiments were investigated with respect to the experimental design processes. We classified the patterns of experimental design processes by creative thinking processes and analyzed performance levels by the elements of experimental design processes. The students' experimental design processes were categorized into three kinds of patterns such as reinitiated motion, backward-divergent motion and stationary motion. Those belonging to the reinitiated motion performed precise experimental design from new perspectives by identifying the mapping in depth and considering the elements of experimental design processes. In the case of the backward-divergent motion, they shifted their positions to new directions, but the concreteness of experimental design was insufficient due to the lack of mapping or considering the elements. In the type of stationary motion, maintaining their previous positions, they showed less performance of experimental design without considering the elements sufficiently. Educational implication of these findings are discussed.
