Generation and Assessment of DEM from InSAR and Differential InSAR (영상 레이더 간섭기법 및 차분간섭기법을 이용한 수치고도모델 생성과 정확도 평가)

  • SAR interferometry (InSAR) is a technique to generate 3-Dimentional spatial information using complex data pairs observed by antennas at different locations. In case of the Two-pass differential SAR inteferometry (DInSAR), the topographic phase signature can be separated from the contribution of surface deformation in the interferometric phase. In this study, InSAR and DInSAR were implemented with ERS- l/2 tandem pair to produce DEM. The accuracy of the Resulting DEMs was analyzed.

  • SHACAL-2 is a 256-bit block cipher with various key sizes based on the hash function SHA-2. Recently, it was recommended as one of the NESSIE selections. This paper presents differential-linear type attacks on SHACAL-2 with 512-bit keys up to 32 out of its 64 rounds. Our 32-round attack on the 512-bit keys variants is the best efficient attack on this cipher in published literatures.

Differential Cryptanalysis of a 20-Round Reduced SMS4 Block Cipher (축소된 20-라운드 SMS4에 대한 차분 공격)

  • The 128-bit block cipher SMS4 which is used in WAPI, the Chinese WALN national standard, uses a 128-bit user key with the number of 32 rounds. In this paper, we present a differential attack on the 20-round SMS4 using 16-round differential characteristic. This attack requires $2^{126}$ chosen plaintexts with $2^{105.85}$ 20-round SMS4 decryptions. This result is better than any previously known cryptanalytic results on SMS4 in terms of the numbers of attacked rounds.

  • Block Cipher SEED which was developed by KISA are not only Korea national standard algorithm of TTA but also one of standard 128-bit block ciphers of ISO/IEC. Since SEED had been developed, many analyses were tried but there was no distinguishing cryptanalysis except the 7-round differential attack in 2002. The attack used the 6-round differential characteristic with probability $2^{-124}$ and analyzed the 7-round SEED with $2^{127}$ chosen plaintexts. In this paper, we propose a new 6-round differential characteristic with probability $2^{-110}$ and analyze the 7-round SEED with $2^{113}$ chosen plaintexts.

  • 유한차분시간영역 방법은 전자기파 관련 분야의 전산모사에 많이 사용되는 수치해석기법이다. 이 방법을 이용하여 구현한 전산모사 프로그램은 많은 계산 자원 필요로 하기 때문에 병렬 계산 환경을 이용하게 되는 경우가 많다. 병렬 계산 환경에서 전산모사를 수행할 경우, 병렬로 수행되는 각 프로세스 간의 통신 속도와 네트워크의 지연 시간은 계산의 병목 현상을 초래하여 전체적인 성능을 저하시키는 원인이 된다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 MPI의 지속 통신 메커니즘을 이용하여 병렬 프로세스 간 동기화 속도를 증가시킴으로써 유한차분시간영역 전산모사 프로그램에서의 MPI 통신 성능의 향상을 꾀하고, 그 결과를 그래프로 도시하였다. 또한 기존의 양방향 통신과 단방향 통신 메커니즘을 사용했을 때의 성능과 비교/분석하여, 병렬 유한차분시간영역 전산모사 프로그램에 있어서 지속 통신 메커니즘의 장/단점을 제시하고, 그 효용성에 관해 논의한다.

  • 최근 들어 기후변화로 인한 극심한 가뭄 피해가 한반도에 발생하고 있다. 가뭄 상황에 대비하여 댐을 안정적으로 운영하기 위해서는 갈수빈도 유입량에 대한 분석이 필수적이다. 갈수빈도해석의 경우, 홍수빈도해석과 유사하게 확률밀도함수의 극값에 대한 확률값을 산정하며, 확률 분포형의 역함수에 비초과확률을 대입하여 산정한다. 그러나 홍수와 달리 가뭄은 지속기간이 긴 특성 탓에 자기상관을 고려해야하며, 댐 및 저수지 등 대규모 시설물의 경우 일반적인 하천과 달리 저류효과로 인해 누적 유량에 대한 고려가 필요하다. 이에 K-water는 자체 제작한 누가차분법 및 Disaggregation 두 가지 방법을 채택하여 실무에서 사용해왔다. 그러나 누가차분법을 사용할 경우, 빈도유입량이 지나치게 크게 산정되는 문제가 있으며, Disaggregation 방법을 사용하는 경우, 특정 빈도 이상의 극한가뭄에서 유입량의 차이가 유의미하지 않아 산정된 빈도유입량과 최근 발생한 극심한 가뭄의 실측유입량간 큰 차이가 발생하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 자기상관을 고려한 선형회귀모형에 근거하여 빈도유입량을 배분하는 방법을 제안한다. 또한, 앞서 서술한 네 가지 빈도유입량 방법(월빈도분석, 누가차분법, K-water Disaggregation, 자기상관 선형회귀모형)에 대한 수식적 비교를 수행하며, 국내 댐 유역에 적용 및 평가를 통해 자료 특성에 따른 적절한 빈도유입량 산정방식에 대한 기준을 제안한다. 본 연구를 통해 가뭄특성을 고려한 합리적인 댐 유입량을 산정함으로써 보다 유연한 수자원시설물의 가뭄대응이 이루어질 것으로 기대된다.

A study on estimating piecewise linear trend model using the simple moving average of differenced time series (차분한 시계열의 단순이동평균을 이용하여 조각별 선형 추세 모형을 추정하는 방법에 대한 연구)

  • In a piecewise linear trend model, the change points coincide with the mean change points of the first differenced time series. Therefore, by detecting the mean change points of the first differenced time series, one can estimate the change points of the piecewise linear trend model. In this paper, based on this fact, a method is proposed for detecting change points of the piecewise linear trend model using the simple moving average of the first differenced time series rather than estimates of the slope or residuals. Our Monte Carlo simulation experiments show that the proposed method performs well in estimating the number of change points not only when the error terms in the piecewise linear trend model are independent but also when they are serially correlated.

  • Dual-layer differential codebook using 8-PSK (phase shift keying) constellation as its codeword elements, is proposed for Long term evolution (LTE) and/or LTE-Advanced systems. Due to the temporal correlation of the adjacent channel matrices, the consecutive precoding matrices are likely to be similar. This approach quantize only the differential information of the channel instead of the whole channel subspace, which virtually increase the codebook size to realize more accurate quantization of the channel. Especially, the proposed codebook has the same properties of LTE release-8 codebook that is, constant modulus, complexity reduction, and nested property. The mobile station can be designed by using less expensive non-linear amplifier utilizing constant modulus property. Computer simulations show that the capacity of the proposed dual-layer codebook performs almost 1.2dB better than those of any other non-differential codebooks with the same amount of feedback information.

Performance Characteristics of a Symbol Timing Detection by Superposed Difference Method for OFDM (중첩의 차분화방식에 의한 OFDM 심벌 타이밍검출 성능)

  • In this paper, we introduce the performance of improved symbol timing detection by the superposed difference type symbol timing detection method in the OFDM system. Also, we represent the maximum detection probability of symbol synchronization timing at each received delay signal in multipath channel delay profile in the correlation and difference type symbol timing detection methods. The computer simulation results show that the correlation symbol timing detection method have maximum detection probability at the lead of the nth received delay signal of highest amplitude, but the difference type symbol timing detection method always have maximum detection probability at the lead of the first received delay signal in the channel delay spread of $70nsec{\sim}217nsec$. The simulation results indicate the possibility of the perfect detection of OFDM symbol synchronization timing and it fit well with the results of improved S/N to the eb/n0 and the performance of symbol timing detection of the proposed method.

ACDE2: An Adaptive Cauchy Differential Evolution Algorithm with Improved Convergence Speed (ACDE2: 수렴 속도가 향상된 적응적 코시 분포 차분 진화 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, an improved ACDE (Adaptive Cauchy Differential Evolution) algorithm with faster convergence speed, called ACDE2, is suggested. The baseline ACDE algorithm uses a "DE/rand/1" mutation strategy to provide good population diversity, and it is appropriate for solving multimodal optimization problems. However, the convergence speed of the mutation strategy is slow, and it is therefore not suitable for solving unimodal optimization problems. The ACDE2 algorithm uses a "DE/current-to-best/1" mutation strategy in order to provide a fast convergence speed, where a control parameter initialization operator is used to avoid converging to local optimization. The operator is executed after every predefined number of generations or when every individual fails to evolve, which assigns a value with a high level of exploration property to the control parameter of each individual, providing additional population diversity. Our experimental results show that the ACDE2 algorithm performs better than some state-of-the-art DE algorithms, particularly in unimodal optimization problems.
