The Efficiency of Vascular Embolization Using Alginate Gel : An Experimental Study in Rabbit (알지네이트 젤을 이용한 혈관 색전술의 유용성 : 토끼에서의 실험적 연구)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the applicability of poly-L-guluronic alginate (PGA) gel in vascular embolization with angiography simulation. Materials and Methods : To prepare a gel-forming PGA from no guluronate-rich Laminaria japonica, a new acid hydrolysis method was employed with a lower HCL concentration (0.03 M) and a shorter treatment time (5 min). The obtained PGAs were selected based on gel stability and viscosity. Glass aneurysm model was used to simulate gel embolization in vitro. Then, finally, the PGA was used to embolize the renal vascular system by using a rabbit model and angiography. Results : Glass aneurysm model was made to simulate gel embolization procedure. PGA solution was injected from pump through 2-way catheter. Subsequent injection of $CaCl_2$ successfully formed gels inside aneurysm model that conforming to its inner contour. In rabbit model, first, renal artery and aorta leading to the right kidney were ligated to block blood flow, then conventional contrast agent was injected through aorta to check the arterial patency to the left kidney. In sequential artery injection method, PGA and $CaCl_2$ were injected through renal artery sequentially via a single catheter. Re-injection of contrast agent after removing ligated aorta showed blood flow to the right kidney but no flow in the left kidney. This result demonstrated a complete blocking of blood flow due to gel formation in vascular bed of the left kidney. Conclusion : Instillation of calcium alginate into aneurysm model and arterial system in vivo produced an embolization that better fills and conforms to the contour of aneurysms or blocking vascular bed completely. Therefore, PGA was effective endovascular occlusion materials and provide an efficiency of vascular angiography.

  • DA-5018은 여러 opiate수용체 실험에서 morphine 또는 naloxone 보다 10-100배 정도 낮은 친화력을 나타내었다. 기니픽 회장표본과 랫드 수정관표본의 전기자극 실험에서는 DA-5018의 의해 유도된 수축반응이 naloxone의 영향을 받지 앉았고, 랫드에서의 진통효과도 naloxone 전처치에 의해 차단되지 않았으므로, DA-5018은 opiate 수용체를 경유하지 앉는 것으로 생각된다. 또한, OA-5018 120$\mu$M에서 cyclooxygenase 생성을 50% 증가시켰고 mM 농도에서 5-lipooxygenase 합성을 약간 억제하였으므로, NSAID계 유사약물이 아님을 확인하였다. DA-5018은 기니픽 기관 표본에 대해 capsaicin과 동일하게 수축반응을 나타내었고, 이것은 capsazepine 전처리에 의해 억제되었다. 척수에서의 substance P 유리활성은 capsaicin보다 약 9배 강한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 랫드에 DA-5018 진통유효용량인 1mg/kg을 피하주사한 후 분리한 척수에서 capsaicin에 의한 substance P의 유리활성은 15분 후에 감소하였고 120분 후에는 회복되었다. 따라서 OA-5018의 진통작용에도 substance P의 고갈이 관여하는 것으로 생각된다. 이상의 결과로부터, DA-5018의 진통작용은 capsaicin수용체를 매개하는 것으로 사료된다.

The Effect of Aerated Concrete containing Foam Glass Aggregate on the Floor Impact Sound Insulation (발포유리 혼합기포 콘크리트의 바닥충격음 차단성능 영향에 관한 연구)

  • As structure-borne sound, the floor impact sound is one of the serious noises in residential building. Most of heating system applied to the typical Korean residential building is floor heating system which is called ondol. The ondol usually consists of finishing material, mortar with heating coil, light-weight aerated concrete and reinforced concrete. This study focused on the isolation of heavy-weight impact sound and modification of mortar and light-weight aerated concrete. Specifically the glass foam aggregate was added on light-weight aerated concrete. Also, water-cement ratio and amount of cement on mortar were revised. The sound pressure level of heavy-weight impact was measured in reverberation chamber using both bang-machine and impact ball. The size of specimen was 1 m by 1 m. Substitution ratio of glass foam aggregate on light-weight aerated concrete shows relationship with heavy-weight impact sound pressure level. In addition, heavy-weight impact sound pressure level was decreased with increment of water-cement ratio and amount of cement on mortar.

  • 폴리카보네이트는 내열성과 투명성이 우수한데 비해 내후성이 좋지 않아 황변 및 물성이 저하되고, 내찰상성이 약하여 긁히기 쉬운데다 이물질에 의해 오염되기 쉬워 투명성이 저하되는 문제점이 있다. 이러한 단점을 극복하고, 사용하는 용도에 따라 요구되는 다양한 기능성을 부여하기 위하여 폴리카보네이트 표면에 기능성층을 형성시킴으로써 그 목적을 달성하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 이온 주입기술을 이용하여, 폴리카보네이트 표면의 전기전도도 특성을 향상시키고, 피부암 및 백내장 등을 유발하는 유해한 자외선 (UV-A, UV-B)을 차단하려 한다. 표면전기전도도의 향상은 이물질로부터 오염되는 정도를 낮추며, 정전기를 방지할 수 있다. PC(Polycarbonate) 표면에 $N^+,\;Ar^+,\;Kr^+,\;Xe^+$ 이온을 에너지 20keV에서 50keV을 사용하여, 주입량 $5{\times}10^{15}\;{\sim}\7{\times}10^{16}\cm^2$ 로 조사하였다. 이온 주입된 PC의 표면을 두 접점 방법의 표면 저항 측정으로 표면전기전도도 특성을 알아보았고, 자외선차단 특성은 UV-Vis 로 분석하였다. 이들 전기적 광학적 특성간의 상관관계를 관찰하고, 이러한 특성을 나타내는 화학적 기능그룹들의 변화를 보기 위해 FTIR 분석법으로 관찰하였다. 이온조사량의 증가에 따라 표면저항은 $10^7{\Omega}/sq$까지 감소하여 표면전기특성을 증가시키며, 자외선 차단 특성은 UV-A를 95%까지 차단하여 인체에 유해한 자외선 차단에 유용함을 확인하였다. 이러한 특성은 PC 표면에 카본 네트워크 형성과 $\pi$전자들의 운동량을 증가시키는 구조로 고분자 사슬들의 결합구조 변형에 의한 것으로 생각된다.블을 가지고 파서를 설계하였다. 파서의 출력으로 AST가 생성되면 번역기는 AST를 탐색하면서 의미적으로 동등한 MSIL 코드를 생성하도록 시스템을 컴파일러 기법을 이용하여 모듈별로 구성하였다.적용하였다.n rate compared with conventional face recognition algorithms. 아니라 실내에서도 발생하고 있었다. 정량한 8개 화합물 각각과 총 휘발성 유기화합물의 스피어만 상관계수는 벤젠을 제외하고는 모두 유의하였다. 이중 톨루엔과 크실렌은 총 휘발성 유기화합물과 좋은 상관성 (톨루엔 0.76, 크실렌, 0.87)을 나타내었다. 이 연구는 톨루엔과 크실렌이 총 휘발성 유기화합물의 좋은 지표를 사용될 있고, 톨루엔, 에틸벤젠, 크실렌 등 많은 휘발성 유기화합물의 발생원은 실외뿐 아니라 실내에도 있음을 나타내고 있다.>10)의 $[^{18}F]F_2$를 얻었다. 결론: $^{18}O(p,n)^{18}F$ 핵반응을 이용하여 친전자성 방사성동위원소 $[^{18}F]F_2$를 생산하였다. 표적 챔버는 알루미늄으로 제작하였으며 본 연구에서 연구된 $[^{18}F]F_2$가스는 친핵성 치환반응으로 방사성동위원소를 도입하기 어려운 다양한 방사성의 약품개발에 유용하게 이용될 수 있을 것이다.었으나 움직임 보정 후 영상을 이용하여 비교한 경우, 결합능 변화가 선조체 영역에서 국한되어 나타나며 그 유의성이 움직임 보정 전에 비하여 낮음을 알 수 있었다. 결론: 뇌활성화 과제 수행시에 동반되는 피험자의 머리 움직임에 의하여 도파민 유리가 과대평가되었으며 이는 이 연구에서 제안한 영상정합을 이용한 움직임 보정기법에 의해서 개선되었다. 답이 없는 문제, 문제 만들기, 일반화가 가능한 문제 등으

Fluoride Release of Giomer and Compomer Through the Dental Adhesive Layer (자이오머와 컴포머의 치과용 접착제를 통한 불소 유리에 관한 연구)

  • The aim of this study was to investigate and compare fluoride release of giomer (Beautifil Injectable), compomer ($Dyract^{(R)}$ XP), and composite resin ($Filtek^{TM}$ Z350XT) through adhesive (Scotchbond Multi-Purpose) layer. A total of 20 cylindrical specimens (7 mm in diameter and 2 mm in thickness) of giomer, compomer and composite resin were prepared according to the manufacturers' instruction (10 with adhesive and 10 without adhesive). These specimens were immersed individually in 2 mL of deionized water at $37^{\circ}C$. The amount of fluoride release was measured on the $1^{st}$, $3^{rd}$, $7^{th}$, $14^{th}$, $21^{st}$, and $28^{th}$ day. To confirm uniform application of the adhesive layer, additional 18 specimens with adhesive were prepared and evaluated by scanning electron microscope. The giomer and compomer groups with adhesive applied showed no fluoride release until the $3^{rd}$ day. However, from the $7^{th}$ day, fluoride was detected. The application of dentin adhesive did not completely prevent fluoride release from giomer or compomer. Fluoride release was significantly (p < 0.05) reduced through the adhesive layer. The reduction of fluoride release was more remarkable on the giomer.

Assessment of Fluoride Release through Dentin Adhesive in the Alkasite Restorative Material and Giomer (알카자이트 수복재와 자이오머의 상아질 접착제를 투과하는 불소 유리 평가)

  • This study evaluated the fluoride release of alkasite restorative material (ARM) and giomer penetrating the dentin adhesive layer. Twenty specimens were prepared for each restorative material, and dentin adhesive with uniform thickness was applied to half of them. The prepared specimens were placed in a polyethylene tube containing 2.0 mL of deionized water and deposited in a 37.0℃ water bath for the study duration. The amount of fluoride release was measured on the 1st, 3rd, 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th days after deposition. The dentin adhesive applied to the ARM and giomer could not completely block the fluoride release; however, it significantly reduced its amount. The cumulative amount of fluoride release of the ARM after 28 days was higher than that of the giomer regardless of the application of dentin adhesive.

Restoration and Stability of the Glass Sarira Bottle (Treasure No. 1925) from the Sarira Reliquaries Commissioned by Yi Seonggye, Excavated from Geumgangsan Mountain (보물 제1925호 금강산 출토 이성계 발원 사리장 엄구 내 유리제 사리병의 복원 및 안정성 연구)

  • 3D printing technology has been actively applied for the restoration of cultural properties. However, its application to the restoration of glass cultural properties has not yet been reported and thus requires further study. In this study, 3D printing technology was used to restore a defective part of a glass sarira bottle that forms an element of a series of sarira reliquaries commissioned by Yi Seonggye (known as King Taejo after founding the Joseon Dynasty) that was excavated from Geumgangsan Mountain (designated as Treasure No. 1925) and is currently housed at the National Museum of Korea. The defective area was reproduced using 3D printing and the printed reproduction was reproduced again using an epoxy resin. This latter piece was used as the restoration component rather than the 3D printed element. After the completion of the conservation treatment, the materials used for the 3D printing were compared with transparent materials used to restore ceramics to evaluate their usability and stability. A total of five specimens were produced, including from photocurable resin made by a stereo lithography apparatus (SLA), epoxy resin, acrylic resin, and more. They were exposed to UV for 96 hours to test for yellowing. Of the two specimens made of photocurable resins and exposed to UV, one was sprayed with a UV blocking agent but the other was exposed as-is. The UV exposure test showed that the specimen made by the SLA and sprayed with a UV blocking agent and the specimen made of epoxy resin were stable in terms of yellowing with a change in the b-value was less than 1. They are thus considered to be suitable materials for the restoration of glass cultural properties. Such glass cultural properties are often diverse in shape and their restoration can be difficult as they generally consist of a range of complex parts that hamper restoration. In this regard, diverse materials should be considered when selecting materials for the restoration of glass cultural properties.

Interaction of Forskolin with the Effect of $N^6-Cyclopentyladenosine$ on $[^3H]-Acetylcholine$ Release in Rat Hippocampus (흰쥐 해마에서 Acetylcholine 유리에 미치는 $N^6-Cyclopentyladenosine$ 및 Forskolin의 영향)

  • As it has been reported that the depolarization-induced acetylcholine (ACh) release is modulated by activation of presynaptic $A_1-adenosine$ heteroreceptor in hippocampus and various lines of evidence indicate the involvement of adenylate cyclase system in $A_1-adenosine$ post-receptor mechanism in hippocampus, it was attempted to delineate the role of adenylate cyclase system in the $A_1-receptor-mediated$ control of ACh release in this study. Slices from rat hippocampus were incubated with $[^3H]-choline$ and the release of the labelled products was evoked by electrical stimulation $(3\;Hz,\;5\;Vcm^{-1},\;2\;ms,\;rectangular\;pulses)$, and the influence of various agents on the evoked tritium-outflow was investigated. $N^6-cyclopentyladenosine$ (CPA), a specific $A_1-adenosine$ receptor agonist, in concentrations ranging from 0.1 to $10\;{\mu}M$, decreased the $[^3H]-ACh$ release in a dose-dependent manner without the changes of basal rate of release. 8-cyclopentyl-1,3-dipropylxanthine $(DPCPX,\;1{\sim}10\;{\mu}M)$, a selective $A_1-receptor$ antagonist, increased the $[^3H]-ACh$ release in a dose-related fashion with slight increase of basal tritium-release. And the CPA effects were significantly inhibited by DPCPX $(2\;{\mu}M)$ pretreatment and the dose-response curve produced by CPA was shifted to the right. The responses to N-ethylmaleimide $(NEM,\;10\;&\;30\;{\mu}M)$, a SH-alkylating agent of G-protein, were characterized by increments of the evoked ACh-release and the basal release, and the CPA effect were completely abolished by NEM pretreatment. Forskolin, a specific adenylate cyclase activator, in concentrations ranging from 0.3 to $10\;{\mu}M$, increased the evoked ACh-release in a dose-dependent manner and the CPA effects were inhibited by forskolin. These results indicate that the $A_1-adenosine$ heteroreceptor plays an important role in ACh-release via nucleotide-binding protein Gi in the rat hippocampus and that the adenylate cyclase system might be participated in this process.

UV Degradation Characteristics and Applicability of Coating Agent for Conservation of FRP Artifacts (FRP 작품 보존을 위한 자외선 열화 특성 및 자외선 차단 코팅제 적용 연구)

  • This study evaluated the degradation characteristics of FRP by ultraviolet (UV) rays and applied a UV-resistant coating to prevent the degradation of the surface of these sculptures. As a result of the degradation caused by UV rays, there were slight changes in the FRP surface and contact angle. The chromaticity sharply increased in the early phase of degradation. After applying the coating to the FRP, no significant surface changes were observed. However, it had lower changes in color as compared to the uncoated specimen, so it was verified that the control of discoloration could be possible. Some changes in the gloss and contact angle were observed depending on the extent of degradation, but the UV coating agent remained relatively stable. Analysis of the infrared light spectrum showed that there were almost no chemical changes, and it could be concluded that the coating treatment prevented degradation for a certain period. This study investigated the degradation of FRP used as materials in artwork exposed to UV rays, and it was found that there was a delay in the onset of degradation in the FRP with the UV-resistant coating when compared to the uncoated FRP.

Effects of thickness and background on the masking ability of high-trasnlucent zirconias (고투명도 지르코니아의 두께 및 하부 배경에 따른 색조 차단 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare and evaluate the masking ability of three types of high translucent zirconia according to the various thicknesses and backgrounds. Materials and Methods: Using three types of high-translucency zirconia (Ceramill zolid fx white, Ceramill zolid ht+ white, Ceramill zolid ht+ preshade A2), 10 cylindrical specimens were fabricated in 10mm diameter and each with four thicknesses (0.6 mm, 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm), respectively by CAD/CAM method. The background was 10 mm in diameter and 10 mm in thickness. A1, A2, A3 flowable resin backgrounds, blue-colored core resin background, and Ni-Cr alloy background were prepared, and black, white backgrounds provided by the spectrophotometer manufacturer (x-rite, Koblach, Austria) were used. zirconia specimens and the background specimen were stacked to measure L, a*, b* with Spectrophotometer (Color i5, x-rite, Koblach, Austria) and the ΔE value with the other background is calculated. The Calculated mean ΔE values were compared based on perceptibility threshold 1.0 and acceptability threshold 3.7. Nonparametric tests such as Kruskal-Wallis test were performed to verify statistical significance (α = 0.05). Results: There was a significant difference in the mean ΔE value according to the zirconia type, background and thickness change (P = 0.000). Conclusion: According to the results of this study, the pre-colored high-translucent zirconia can obtain the desired zirconia shade when it is restored on teeth, composite resins, and abutments except for the blue resin core.
