The purpose of this study is to identify factors influencing college students' career decision. For this purpose, 673 college students in four - year colleges in Seoul, Gyeonggi- do, and Chungcheong - do were surveyed and analyzed. The main results are as follows. First, sexes did not show significant difference between career decision group and career indecision group. Second, logistic regression analysis was conducted to analyze the effects of variables affecting career decision. Grade, major satisfaction, and career development competencies were variables that had a significant effect on career decision of college students. However, academic achievement, college students' adjustment, and career adaptability were not significant variables. These results suggest that in order to support career decision of college students, it is necessary to increase students majors satisfaction and improve career development capability.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences between freshmen and the other students' career development competencies and educational needs. To achieve this, the survey was carried out and 362 undergraduates participated. The findings of the survey were shown as follows: First, the students perceived that effective interpersonal relationships and positive self-concept formation were more needed. Second, only the positive self-concept formation showed statistically significant differences. Third, the rating of the educational needs was identical from the first place to the forth, but different from the fifth to the sixth. Fourth, by the Locus for Focus model, more information was identified about educational needs of students. These results will contribute to develop the career education programs.

The purpose of this study was to explore the moderating effect of learning strategy levels on the relationship between academic grit and career development competence perceived by high school students. The sample for this study comprised 573 high school students, and data analysis was conducted mainly using reliability analysis, correlation analysis, K-mean cluster analysis, hierarchical regression analysis. The results of the study showed that the learning strategy levels moderated the relationship between academic grit and career development competence. This study suggest it is necessary to provide grit enhancement programs coupled with learning strategy levels in order to facilitate career development competence. The future studies need to explore the literature review for logical relationship between academic grit and career development competence, the qualitative approach for drawing on the theoretical models among the related variables, and the relational research to explore mediating or moderating effect of the individual backgrounds and related variables on the relationship between academic grit and career development competence.

In this paper, we develops the hybrid career coaching model combined the face to face and the E-coaching, and applies students of childhood education for career guidance. The presented hybrid career coaching manages a profile and state information and a remote access between the coach and coachee on Internet. Then, online part of hybrid coaching deals with saving the data, and understand of the situation of the coachee if it is necessary. And face to face part of hybrid coaching have a conversation, the checking, counsel and introspection if the coach needs. Presented hybrid career coaching model has th procedure of 6 steps such like career coaching guidance, self-understanding, career decision-making, establishment of the career execution planning, execution plan and action will inspection and execution result inspection. Proposed hybrid career coaching is possible to understand coachee's current state on the career map, realize the importance of the execution strategy and maximize the efficiency and effectiveness self-regulation capacity.

The purpose of this study is to develop portal web contents for nursing student's career search. The portal web contents named 'Nurse Dream' was designed and developed by using 134 nursing students' survey data and referring to expert consultation. 97.0% of respondents expressed intention of using website or application for career search if it is completed. What they want to know was 'income(19.0%)', 'qualifications for job(18.0%)', 'path to job(18.0%)'. With survey analysis and expert consultation, 'Nurse Dream' was designed to have various categories including 'Nurse Career Guidance', 'Nurse Recruitment'. Developing portal web contents suggests that it is possible for nursing students to get enough information for career search and enhance career satisfaction, which is likely to give them positive impact.

To survive in the highly competitive environment, a vocational education institution must offer its students an attractive system of competency based vocational education. A first-term freshman at university and college should also be allowed to adjust the course selection Early exposure within one or more fields of study creates a high level of enthusiasm which helps students maintain their motivation. It also helps students decide if course selection is right for career choice and they should be provided a large number of diverse occupational opportunities later In this paper, we discuss how to activate the vocational education. Also we developed vocational guidance program for course selection through the subject for vocational guidance and the learning map for learning plan. This program was assessed through the survey on opinions of freshman.

The purpose of this study is to find out what the constituents of career development competency are for the students who are majoring in engineering. In this study, the career development competency means that the students in an engineering college should initiatively choose, prepare and adapt themselves for their future career in their lifetime. This study examined all the career-related references that are determined to be linked with the competencies of career development. Also, other references inside and outside of the country that are related to the career key competencies and engineering basic competencies were investigated in this study. Especially, the career development competency in this study was approached with two points of views; the process of career development for students and the ability to maintain and develop the future career in an engineering field. Ultimately, this study derived the conclusion that there are 8 categories and 42 subordinate constituents in the career development competency for the students in an engineering college.

The purpose of the present study is to develop and validate an instrument to assess STEM career motivation. We developed 32 items for 7 constructs (i.e. education experience, career value, academic self-efficacy, career self-efficacy, career interest, parents' support, and career motivation) on STEM career motivation based on Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT; Lent et al.,1994). 767 first year high school students participated in this study. The items were validated by Messick's framework (1995). In this study, we examined the validity of items in four aspects (i.e. content, substantive, structural and generalizability of validity). Methodologically, we used Rasch analysis, Exploratory factor analysis, confirmative factor analysis based on structural equation modelling. We confirmed that our instrument with 32 items as valid and reliable for measuring the STEM career motivation. In addition, we tested the STEM career motivation model based on SCCT. Our model explained the data well, suggesting that external factors (education experience and parents' support) and cognitive factors (perception of value, self-efficacy and interest) were significantly related to STEM career motivation.

What are the critical factors in deciding future career to the gifted and talented students? The present study started with this question, and was to develop a career decision-making scale for scientifically gifted undergraduates. For this, literatures related to the scientifically gifted/talent and scientists' career decision-making were reviewed and examined in depth. Based on the review of the related literature, the developed scale of career decision-making was comprised of 26 items in 6 factors, such as individual aptitude & self-realization, economic aspect, work & leisure, familial influence, parents/teachers' recommendation, and experience of science activity during the school days. For the preliminary exploratory factor analysis, 153 undergraduate students who were majoring in natural sciences and engineer participated in the study. For the confirmatory factor analysis, 264 undergraduates who were awarded the presidential scholarships and 93 undergraduates who completed a university-affiliated gifted education center participated. The results of the study are as follows. The fit of measurement model was found to be $x^{2}$=645.157 (df=279, p=.00), TLI=.924, CFI= .935, RMSEA=.061, indicating most of fit indexes were acceptable. Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ in each sub-factor was quite high, .82 for individual aptitude & self-realization, .94 for economic aspect, .84 for work and leisure, .88 for familial influence, .79 for patents/ teachers' recommendation, and .79 for experience of science activity during the school days. The results of the study were discussed whether the developed scale could be used as a valid and reliable tool for measuring career decision-making factors of the scientifically gifted undergraduates in our country.

Recently policies and studies on career development education for college students have attracted policy makers' and scholars' attention. However, no specific policy is there for college student-athletes in Korea. There are several reasons why such career education do not exist. Among those, the biggest reason seems to be the fact that there is no specific career education contents for the population of college student-athletes. The purposes of the study are to identity the needs of career education contents for college student-athletes and to come up with educational contents for 16-week one-hour credit class. The data for the study were generated from six experts in college sport, sport psychology, and career education. The experts participated three meetings from which they generated the structure of the career education classes, the contents of the classes and 16-week class curriculum.
