The Improvement of High Convergence Speed using LMS Algorithm of Data-Recycling Adaptive Transversal Filter in Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (직접순차 확산 스펙트럼 시스템에서 데이터 재순환 적응 횡단선 필터의 LMS 알고리즘을 이용한 고속 수렴 속도 개선)

  • In this paper, an efficient signal interference control technique to improve the high convergence speed of LMS algorithms is introduced in the adaptive transversal filter of DS/SS. The convergence characteristics of the proposed algorithm, whose coefficients are multiply adapted in a symbol time period by recycling the received data, is analyzed to prove theoretically the improvement of high convergence speed. According as the step-size parameter ${\mu}$ is increased, the rate of convergence of the algorithm is controlled. Also, an increase in the stop-size parameter ${\mu}$ has the effect of reducing the variation in the experimentally computed learning curve. Increasing the eigenvalue spread has the effect of controlling which is downed the rate of convergence of the adaptive equalizer. Increasing the steady-state value of the average squared error, proposed algorithm also demonstrate the superiority of signal interference control to the filter algorithm increasing convergence speed by (B+1) times due to the data-recycling LMS technique.

  • The architecture for RFID-based home network and an intelligent agent for efficiently managing home network are proposed in this paper. The agent consists of six modules-Agent Manager, Data Collector, Execution Controller, Data Storage, Data Queue and User Interface. Agent Manager manages the tasks of modules, and Data Collector collects the data from home appliances through the RFID readersm Execution Controller determines the operations home appliances according to the conditions of the home environment and transfers the operations to the appliances through the RFID readers. Moreover, Data Storage keeps the data which is necessary for the operations of the agent, and Data Queue temporarily stores the data which is collected from home appliances. Lastly, User Interface provides the graphical user interface in which an individual can directly control and monitor the home network. The proposed intelligent agent autonomously learns the circumstances of a home network by analyzing the data about the state of home appliances, and controls home appliances according to the preference of the user. Therefore, the user can live in the best-suited home environment without direct appliance control if he/she performs home networking through the agent.

  • The direct spinning of carbon nanotube (CNT) fibers is a promising method in the high performance composite materials. However, most of the reported CNT arrays do not have spinning properties because of their limited synthesis conditions. In this study, we investigate the properties of spinnable CNT arrays, which is closely related to the morphology of CNT array. The array morphology controlled by controlling the conditions of catalyst, carbon source, etc. By additional carbon source of ethylene and changing the composition of the catalyst, the waviness of the CNT array can be remarkably reduced, which leads to improve of the spinning properties. The synthesized CNT arrays were well aligned along c-axis and the synthesis conditions of the spinning array could be derived.

  • IoT (Internet of Things) emerges from various technologies such as communications, micro processors and embedded system and so on. The IoT has also been used to UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) system. In manned aircraft, a pilot and co-pilot should control FCS (Flight Control System) with FBW(Fly By Wire) system for flight operation. In contrast, the flight operation in UAV system is remotely and fully managed by GCS (Ground Control System) almost in real time. To make it possible the communication channel should be necessary between the UAV and the GCS. There are many protocols between two systems. Amongst them, MAVLink (Macro Air Vehicle Link) protocol is representatively used due to its open architecture. MAVLink does not define any securities itself, which results in high vulnerability from external attacks. This paper proposes the method to enhance data security in GCS network by applying cryptographic methods to the MAVLink messages in order to support safe UAV operations.

  • This paper presents a new type of fuzzy-sliding mode controller for robust tip position control of a single-link flexible manipulator subjected to parameter variations. A sliding mode controller is formulated with an assumption that imposed parameter variations are bounded so that certain deterministic performance can be guaranted. In the design of the sliding mode controller, so called moving sliding surface is adopted to minimize the reaching phase and thus mitigate system sensitivity to the variations. The sliding mode controller is then incorporated with a fuzzy technique to reduce inherently ever-existing chattering which is impediment in position control of flexible manipulators. A set of fuzzy parameters and control rules are obtained from a relation between predetermined sliding surface and representative points in the state space. Computer simulations are undertaken in order to demonstrate superior control performance of the proposed methodology.

  • This paper presents high speed position controller using stepping motor. The proposed position controller has close loop and open loop mode. In the high speed region, torque angle which is controlled by PI controller and memory based look-up table, is used to keep the reference position. The memory based look-up table produces a torque angle according to motor speed, and the PI controller can compensate the torque angle error. So, the fast dynamic response can be expected in the same position error. The open loop control mode which is divided by 3-modes control the actual position in the low speed and small position error. Each open loop modes are designed to reduce position error and dynamic brake in the stop command. The proposed position control scheme is verified by the practical stepping motor.

  • 캐쉬의 성능을 향상시키는 가장 효과적인 방법은 프로그램 수행 특성에 내재되어 있는 시간적 (temporal locality) -공간적 지역성 (spatial locality)을 활용하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 추가적인 장치나 컴파일러의 도움 없이 단지 캐쉬의 구조적인 특징과 간단한 메커니즘만을 이용하여 두 가지 타입의 지역성을 효과적으로 반영할 수 있는 새로운 캐쉬 시스템이 제안된다. 제안하는 새로운 캐쉬 시스템은 다른 블록 크기와 다른 연관도를 가지는 두 개의 캐쉬로써 구성되어 진다. 즉 작은 블록 크기를 지원하는 직접사상 캐쉬 (direct-mapped cache)와 큰 블록을 지원하는 완전 연관 버퍼 (fully-associative buffer)로 구성되어 진다. 큰 블록은 여러 개의 작은 블록으로 구성되어지며 두 캐쉬에서 접근 실패가 발생할 경우 직접사상 캐쉬의 접근 실패가 발생한 작은 블록과 그 이웃 작은 블록을 완전 연관 버퍼에 저장시킴으로써 한번 참조가 일어난 블록의 이웃 블록이 참조될 확률이 높다는 공간적 지역성의 특성을 효과적으로 반영할 수 있다. 또한 참조가 일어난 블록은 제어 비트를 사용하여 선택적으로 작은 블록을 직접사상 캐쉬에 저장함으로써 시간적 지역성을 보다 효과적으로 사용할 수 있다 시뮬레이션 결과에 따르면 기존의 직접사상 캐쉬의 4배 크기보다도 좋은 성능 향상을 보이고 있으며, 동일한 크기의 victim 캐쉬보다 우수한 성능을 보이고 소비 전력 면에서는 5% 정도의 전력 감소를 보이고 있다.

  • 제 2세대 직접분사식 가솔린 기관에서 6공 연료분사기의 연료분무특성을 관찰하였다. 실험에 사용한 직접분사식 가솔린 기관은 2개의 흡입밸브와 2개의 배기밸브를 갖는 텀블형 Spray Guided 연소실과 Quartz로 제작된 실린더 라이너와 실린더 헤드 창으로 구성되어 있다. 선회유동을 유도하기 위하여 흡입매니폴드에 선회유동 제어밸브를 부착하였다. 2차원 Mie 스캐터링 기법을 이용하여 연료분사시기, 연료분사압력과 실린더 내 유동 및 냉각수 온도가 연료분무에 미치는 영향을 관찰하였다. 실험결과로는 흡기과정동안 흡기 선회유동은 분사된 연료의 공간적 분포에 크게 작용하였고, 압축과정동안에는 텀블 및 선회유동의 영향이 흡기과정에 비해 크지 않음을 확인하였다. 또한 성층연소를 위해서 압축과정에서 연료를 분사하는 경우 고압의 연료분사압은 분무도달거리의 성장을 촉진시키나 상승하는 피스톤과 이로 인한 실린더 압력의 상승으로 분무도달거리의 성장이 억제됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • This paper describes a direct transmission method of multimedia data stream between a multimedia data processor and a communication interface without using system memory. I propose the direct transfer method of multimedia data through the single data path, without additional data path between a multimedia data processor and a communication interface in multimedia platforms. The hardware architecture and functions for the direct transfer method is defined. Procedure to transfer multimedia data to and from the multimedia data processor is described by means of control flow chart. Comparing the proposed method with general methods, I show that the proposed method can decrease number of bus accesses and bus cycles.

  • Grid 컴퓨팅에서 실제적이고 특정한 문제들은 자원공유, 동적인 문제 해결, VO등과 같은 것들로서, 이는 단순 파일 공유 뿐만 아니라 컴퓨터, 데이터, 소프트웨어 그리고 다른 자원들에 직접적으로 접속하는 것이다. 이러한 공유는 고도의 제어가 요구되는데, 자원 공급자와 사용자들은 공유할 자원이 어느 것이고, 공유는 누구에게 허용할 것인지 그리고 공유가 일어나는 상황에서 조건은 어떠한 유형인지 명확하게 규정하여야 한다.
