Development of the sediment transport model using GPU arithmetic (GPU 연산을 활용한 유사이송 예측모형 개발)

  • Many shorelines are facing the beach erosion. Considering the climate change and the increment of coastal population, the erosion problem could be accelerated. To address this issue, developing a sediment transport model for rapidly predicting terrain change is crucial. In this study, a sediment transport model based on GPU parallel arithmetic was introduced, and it was supposed to simulate the terrain change well with a higher computing speed compared to the CPU based model. We also aim to investigate the model performance and the GPU computational efficiency. We applied several dam break cases to verified model, and we found that the simulated results were close to the observed results. The computational efficiency of GPU was defined by comparing operation time of CPU based model, and it showed that the GPU based model were more efficient than the CPU based model.

A Developmental Study on the Wood-frame House Construction Method in Hilly Areas (구릉지형 목조주택의 시공기법 개발)

  • This study aims at the development on the wood-frame house construction method in hilly areas. To obey the trend of public opinion to prohibit the troublesome development on a large scale in preparing housing sites, the small housing site development in hilly areas is on the rise and consequently wood-frame house which harmonized natural topography, geographical feature and environment in hilly areas is needed. The main contents are how to make housing sites, how to make roads, how to make pedestrian ways and surroundings of water to run downhill, how to locate house, how to make between road and house, how to view inner and outer and how to make retaining wall on the wood-frame house construction method in hilly areas.

  • This study focuses on the applicability of hill housing design in accordance with topographic characteristics on sloping sites. The urgency for housing still exists but hill sites have to be planned by gradual development using 'all available land' within any particular community. However, there is a reaction towards being more closely involved with nature and landscape. Sloping and hill sites must be developed by intelligent and sensitive planning, integrating the existing environmental factors. The results of this study are as follows : 1. The conditions of location are regarded as the concepts of spactial configuration. It should be developed on the basis of awareness that nature and human beings exist together. 2. It is inevitable that the development of the hill housing should be performed prefer to the topographic characteristics. 3. Planning elements of ecological residental blocks which are possible for constructing on the hill site can be developed and applied, on the basis of geographical characteristics, by housing types.

Improved Methods of Cost Sharing in Apartment Remodeling Projects (공동주택 리모델링 사업 분담금 산정의 문제점 및 개선방안)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the improved methods for cost sharing in apartment remodeling projects. Case studies on apartment remodeling projects with different plan type were analyzed and compared. Cost sharing estimated by 'proportional rate method' shows similar results estimated by 'return on investment method' in case of similar area ratio of existing plan to remodeling plan. Otherwise cost sharing estimated by 'proportional rate method' shows great differences comparing the results estimated by 'return on investment method'. Although return on 'proportional rate method' is widely used, it is not proper to estimate cost sharing when each householder's contribution for the project varies, such as considerable differences area ratio of existing plan to remodeling plan. Improved cost sharing method is needed taking into account project contribution and characteristics.

  • The amount of multi-aged housing more than 15 years since the completion has increased, and the real estate market caused by apartment remodeling has also increased. The domestic mortgage loan regulation on relocation expense caused by remodeling apply to same limit as that for mortgage loan newly-built apartment. The excessive government housing regulation could be an obstacle for the occupants residential stability of remodeling apartment. To suggest methods for government housing regulation of residential mortgage loan related to remodeling, examples for mortgage loan regulation and mortgage products were studied and compared. It is pointed out that regulation on occupants relocation expense caused by remodeling has to be relaxed and mortgage product development are needed to boost remodeling project.

Numerical modeling for reproducing natural longitudinal profiles (수치모의를 통한 자연스러운 하천종단 재현)

  • 자연 하천의 종단면도를 살펴보면 상류 지역의 경사는 가파른 반면, 하류 지역으로 내려갈수록 완만해지는 부드러운 오목한 형태가 나타난다. 이러한 종단은 유량, 유사량, 수리기하, 하상 입자의 크기와 분포 등이 복합적으로 작용하여 형성되는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이러한 종단면도에 대한 모의는 지형이 동적평형상태에 이를 때까지 장기간에 걸친 모의를 통해 살펴볼 수 있을 것이다. 단, 그러한 가정은 하천종단 형성에 관여하는 모든 변수에 대한 정량화가 잘 이루어졌을 때 가능할 것이다. 여기서 가장 불확실성이 큰 것은 하천의 유사량을 추정하는 공식일 것이다. 이 연구에서는 유사량이송공식의 변수에 어떠한 값을 적용하느냐에 따라 자연스러운 하천 종단이 형성되는지 지표변화모형을 통해 밝히고자 하였다. Schoklitsch 식을 적용한 LEGS 수치 모형으로 모의를 진행하였으며, 각각의 조건에서 도출된 종단면도의 오목도와 적용한 변수 간의 관계를 비교하였다. 또한, 이에 대한 민감도 분석 수행을 통해 자연 하천에서 확인할 수 있는 특징의 원인을 찾고자 하였다.

A system on using GIS data to support architectural design (건축설계 지원을 위한 GIS 데이터 활용 시스템)

  • Using geospatial information in the early design phase is crucial because it requires considerable time, money, and effort. We use VWorld, part of the National Spatial Information Distribution system provided by the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation, for providing geospatial information to building designers. We provide methods to adopt VWorld geospatial information to building design and develop plugins for a BIM authoring tool to transform and construct necessary BIM data in a user-friendly format. BIM users are benefitted from extra design information supplied from sibling disciplines such as urban design. GIS users are benefited by feedback building information continuously supplied from building projects based upon standard GIS coordinates. It is clear that an architectural designer with BIM tool can save time and efforts to obtain the geospatial information related a project using the developed system as result of this research.

  • In this study, designated as scenic in the heart of Darangyi rice field in village of Garchon architectural status to preserve the rural town of quantitative analysis of the characteristics village of Garchon traditional rural villages to build the basis for landscape management are the goal. Most of the buildings housing the seting village of Garchon flavor appears in the form of the natural terrain accept the wall which is exposed on the outside of the roof, wall materials and colors, such as the town without a regular basis to undermine the image of the landscape and so Darangyi rice field standard set for maintenance of landscapes that are needed. Regional officer of the private property of individuals, but local and national recognition of the shared property, and only when done in this regard the establishment of asset and as a scenic area that has to cherish the history and culture between the people who live where the feedback through the exchange of sensitive areas and to the people who live in it will be an alternative to a variety of ways.

Variability in estimated catchment response with respect to uncertainty in channel forming area (하천시점 추정의 불확실성에 따른 유역 순간반응함수의 변동성)

  • 자연유역은 주어진 강우에 대해 다양한 형태의 유출반응을 나타내는데, 이는 순간반응함수(Instantaneous Response Function; IRF)로 표현될 수 있다. IRF는 유역의 DEM(Digital Elevation Model)으로부터 지표수 흐름방향을 추출한 뒤 지형분석을 통하여 구한 인자를 이용해 구하는 것이 일반적인 이론이다. 여기서 DEM의 모든 셀에 대해 흐름방향을 부여할 수 있지만, 모든 셀이 하천에 해당하지는 않는다. 따라서 최상류의 셀들은 사면으로, 하류의 셀은 하천으로 구분하여 IRF모의에 적용하게 된다. 사면과 하천은 지표수이송에 전혀 다른 경향을 보이므로 전체적인 유역의 유출반응에 큰 영향을 미친다. 예를 들어 사면과 하천에서의 유속 차이는 IRF의 왜도(skewness)에 주된 영향을 미치는 것으로 알려져 있다 (Botter and Rinaldo, 2003). 하지만, DEM에서 사면과 하천을 정확하게 구분하는 것은 매우 어렵기 때문에 하천시점을 정의하는 데에는 불확실성이 내재되어 있으며, 이러한 점은 추정된 IRF의 불확실성으로 연결된다. 본 연구에서는 하천시점의 불확실성으로 인한 IRF의 불확실성을 정량화하고, 그것의 유의수준을 평가하고자 한다. 이를 위해 다양한 유원면적 기준에 대해 IRF를 계산하고, 그 결과를 심도 있게 고찰한다.

Relationship Between the Catchment Characteristics and the Discharge-Sediment Discharge Correlations (유역 특성인자와 지점 유량-유사량 관계식의 상관성 분석)

  • 본 연구에서는 유역 특성 인자와 지점 유량-유사량 관계식의 상관성 분석을 하였다. 대상 지점은 군남, 청미(이상 한강 유역), 향석, 동문, 선산, 동촌, 개진2(이상 낙동강 유역), 회덕, 합강(이상 금강 유역), 선암, 남평(이상 영산강 유역)을 선정하였다. 대상 지점의 상류에 댐이 있을 경우 유량-유사량 관계식이 왜곡될 가능성이 있기 때문에 이상 지점은 상류에 댐이 없는 곳으로 선정되었다. 이들 지점을 출구로 하는 유역을 정의하고 각 유역의 형상계수, 수면 폭, 단면적, 하천 총 길이 등을 조사하여 유량-유사량 관계식과 비교하였다. 분석 결과 수면 폭, 단면적, 하천 총 길이가 증가할수록 관계식의 계수는 감소하는 경향을 나타냈고 지수는 증가하는 형태를 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다. 한편, 형상계수는 뚜렷한 상관관계를 나타내지 않았다. 유량-유사량의 경향성을 파악하기 위해 기존의 측정성과와 비교 분석하고자 하였다. 비교 분석한 결과 대부분 유사한 특성과 경향성을 나타내었으나 일부 다른 특성을 보인 지점도 존재하였다. 본 연구는 특정 지점의 유량-유사량 관계가 유역의 지형 특성에 영향을 받는 다는 것을 시사하는 초기 연구로 향후 추가 연구를 통해 그 영향을 규명할 필요성을 보여준다.
