  • 345kV 4복도체 이상의 가공선로를 GIL로 지중화 대치하기 위한 검토사항 중의 하나로서 GIL-가공선로 연계시의 과전압 접지방식 순환전류 등의 특성을 검토할 필요가 있다. 이를 위해서는 GIL을 포함하는 승전계통을 EMTP로 모델링하여 실계통에 나타날 수 있는 다양한 현상 및 특성을 분석할 필요가 있으나, 현재 전력계통 과도현상을 모의 할 수 있는 ATP/Draw(EMTP) 상에는 GIL을 모델링하기 위한 명시된 모델이나 방법이 존재하지 않아 현상 분석에 어려움이 있다. 따라서, 이 논문은 가공선로 중간의 일부구간에 GIL이 존재할 경우에 있어서 ATP/Draw(EMTP)를 이용한 GIL 및 가공송전선의 혼합선로 모델링에 대한 내용을 다루며, 구체적으로 GIL에 대한 모델링 시 GIS 또는 Cable 모델을 이용한 모의방법을 비교분석하여 적합한 방법을 제안한다.

  • 최근 국내에서 가스절연송전선(GIL: Gas Insulated Transmission Line)의 실계통 도입을 인하여 345kV급 GIL의 개발 및 적용을 위한 연구 및 검토가 수행되고 있다. 이 중의 하나가 가공송전선로 사이의 일부구간을 지중화 하여 GIL로 대치할 경우에 나타날 수 있는 써지에 의한 과전압의 검토이다. 가공선로의 일부구간을 GIL로 대치하는 데 있어서, 변전소 단이 원거리일 경우에는 변전소 내부의 차단기나 단로기 등 개폐 써지에 의한 과전압의 영향은 감쇄효과로 인하여 그다지 크지 않으며, 뇌써지에 의한 과전압이 주요 영향 요소로 작용하고 있다. 따라서, 본 논문은 뇌써지에 의한 GIL-가공선로 구간의 과전압을 검토하기 위하여 GIL과 인접한 가공선로 구간에 낙뢰가 유입된 경우를 가정하여 GIL에 발생되는 과전압 및 보호협조 방안을 분석한다.

  • Fuzzy theory is used to quantify some subjective criteria and consider uncertain factors for transmission line reinforcement planning in this paper. Sugeno's fuzzy integral is also used in the proposed method, because it can be easily allied to multi attribute decision making problems such as power system planning. To verify the proposed algorithm, some bode-neck lines are searched for the case that the amount of Maximal Load Supplying Capability(MLSC) is small using the results of contingency analysis for Korea Electric Power Corporation(KEPCO)'s 345[kV] transmission line in 1998. And several feasible alternatives are composed for line reinforcement which can dissolve the bottle-neck.

  • This paper describes the analysis of sheath circulating current and various methods to reduce the large circulating current in case of operating cable system using EMTP/ATPDraw. And also, possible methods are proposed through a detailed analysis regarding cable systems by considering various electrical and environmental factors. It is evaluated that the proposed reduction methods can be effectively applied to reduce the large sheath circulating over current with the minimized electrical problems.

  • This paper analyses the transient phenomena against single line to ground fault and lightning surge on underground power cable systems. For analysis in various fault conditions, several actual underground power cable systems are modeled using ATP In ground fault, the transient characteristic of the conductor and the sheath according to the fault current and the installation types of CCPU are analysed. In lightning surge strokes, the various unbalanced conditions including the length of crossbonded lead, the breakdown of CCPU and distance unbalance are considered. This paper is expected to contribute the establishment of proper protection methods against transients on underground power cable systems.

  • In this paper, the fault detection and noise cancellation algorithm based on wavelet transform was developed to locate the fault more accurately. Specially, noise cancellation algorithm was based on the correlation of wavelet coefficients at multi-scales. Fault detection, classification and location algorithm were tested by EMTP simulation on real power cable system. From these results, the faults can be detected and located even in very difficult situations, such as at different inception angle and fault resistance.

  • If the fault occurs on the underground Power cable system, the fault current on the sheath has the influence on all sections because it's returned through earth at the directly grounded point and operation point of SVL(Sheath Voltage Limiter) at joint box. Therefore, the earth resistance and the operation of SVL have an effect on the zero-sequence current. Then the impedance between relaying point and fault point is Increased. That causes the overreach of distance relay. For these reasons, the distance relay algorithm for protecting of the underground power cable systems was developed. It effectively advance the errors using ACI(Advanced Computing Intelligence) technique. In this algorithm, the optimization was performed by fuzzy inference system and genetic algorithm.

  • The fault location algorithm based on wavelet transform was developed to locate the fault more accuracy after the operation of relay. The stationary wavelet transform(SWT) was introduced instead of conventional discrete wavelet transform(DWT) because SWT has redundancy properties which is more useful in noise signal processing. The algorithm was based on the correlation of wavelet coefficients at multi-scales. Fault location algorithm was tested by simulation on real power cable system. From these results, the fault can be located even in very difficult situations, such as at different inception angle and fault resistance.

  • This paper analyses the induced voltage characteristic of CCPU with unbalanced current from distribution line on underground transmission power cable systems. In switching surge strokes, in order to obtain the data of induced voltage/current on CCPU, the actual proof test carried out. This paper is expected to contribute the establishment of proper protection methods of CCPU against the unbalanced current from distribution line on underground transmission power cable systems.
