Automatic Recommendation of Nearby Tourist Attractions related to Events (이벤트와 관련된 주변 관광지 자동 추천 알고리즘 개발)

  • Participating in exhibitions is one of the major activities for tourists. When selecting their next travel destination after participating in an event, they use map services and social network services, such as blogs, to obtain information about tourist attractions. The map services are location-based recommendations, because they can easily retrieve information regarding nearby places. Blogs contain informative content about tourist attractions, thereby providing content-based recommendations. However, few services consider both location and content. In location-based recommendations, tourist attractions that are not related to the content of the event attended might be recommended. Content-based recommendation has a disadvantage in that events located at a distance might get recommended. We propose an algorithm that considers both location and content, based on information from the Korea Tourism Organization's Linked Open Data (LOD), Wikipedia, and a Korean dictionary. By extracting nouns from the description of a tourist attraction and then comparing them with nouns about other attractions, a content-based relationship is determined. The distance to the event is calculated based on the latitude and longitude of each tourist attraction. A weight selected by the user is used for linear combination with the content-based relationship to determine the preference order of the recommendations.

Nutrient Characteristics of Biomass, Forest Floor, and Soil between Plantation and Expansion Sites of Phyllostachys nigra var. henonis (솜대 조림지와 확산지의 바이오매스, 임상, 토양의 양분 특성)

  • In this study, the relationships between bamboo expansion and the nutrient characteristics of bamboo biomass, the forest floor, and mineral soil (at 30-cm depth) were determined in unfertilized expansion sites and fertilized plantations of Phyllostachys nigra var. henonis in Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do. Nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations in bamboo components (culm, branches, and foliage) were significantly higher in the plantation site than those in the expansion site (P < 0.05). However, the nutrient concentration of the forest floor did not differ significantly between the plantation and expansion sites. Mean organic carbon concentration at 0-30-cm soil depth was significantly higher in the plantation site (30.80 g kg-1) than that in the expansion site (15.64 g kg-1). In addition, total nitrogen, phosphorus, and exchangeable K+ at 0-30-cm soil depth were significantly higher in the plantation site than those in the expansion site. These results indicate that bamboo can spread to areas with low-nutrient concentrations in adjacent forests.

  • Actually a diffusion of a semantic web application and utilization are situations insufficient extremely. Technology most important in semantic web application is construction of the ontology which contents itself with characteristics of semantic web. Proposed a suitable a method of building web ontology for characteristics or semantic web and web ontology as we compared the existing ontology construction ana ontology construction techniques proposed for web ontology construction, and we analyzed. And modeling old ontology to bases to description logic and the any axiom rule that used an expression way of SWRL, and established inference-based web ontology according to proposed ways. Verified performance of ontology established through ontology inference experiment. Also established an web ontology-based intelligence image retrieval system, to experiment systems for performance evaluation of established web ontology, and present an example of implementation of a semantic web application and utilization. Demonstrated excellence of a semantic web application to be based on ontology through inference experiment of an experiment system.

  • A positive destination image has an impact on the tourist arrivals and economic growth of the tourist destination. Recently, the content generated by sharing tourist experiences and destination information on the internet has been increasing. The online content has the potential to become a major tourist decision source and provide more in-depth materials and richer content to extract destination image, insight and tourist's perceptions of the destination. This study was designed to explore the destination image of Daegu online and draw lessons for successful image management in an era of big data. Text mining approach and social network analysis were conducted to extract destination image determining elements and assess the influence of the elements. The result showed that destination image elements related to tourist infra-structures and culture, history and art affected the overall destination image of Daegu. Destination marketers should make an effort to grasp these precise destination image and seek ways to boost competitiveness as a tourist destination.
