  • This study presents flow assurance analysis in subsea pipeline considering system availability of topside in LNG-FPSO. A hydrate management strategy was established, which consisted of PVCap experiments, system availability analysis of LNG-FPSO topside, hydrate risk analysis in the pipeline, and calculation of PVCap injection concentration. The experimental data required for the determination of PVCap injection concentration were obtained by measuring the hydrate induction time of PVCap at the subcooling temperatures of 6.1, 9.2, and 12.1℃. The availability of LNG-FPSO topside system for 20 years was 89.3%, and the longest downtime of 50 hours occurred 2.9 times per year. The subsea pipeline model for multiphase flow simulation was created using field geometry data. As a result of risk analysis of hydrate plugging using subsea pipeline model, hydrate was formed at the end of flowline in 23.2 hours under the condition of 50 hours shutdown. The injection concentration of PVCap was determined based on the PVCap experiment results. The hydrate plugging in subsea pipeline of LNG-FPSO can be completely prevented by injecting PVCap 0.25 wt% 2.9 times per year.

  • This paper presents a deep learning based group synchronization that supports networked immersive interactions between remote users. The goal of group synchronization is to enable all participants to synchronously interact with others for increasing user presence Most previous methods focus on NTP-based clock synchronization to enhance time accuracy. Moving average filters are used to control media playout time on the synchronization server. As an example, the exponentially weighted moving average(EWMA) would be able to track and estimate accurate playout time if the changes in input data are not significant. However it needs more time to be stable for any given change over time due to codec and system loads or fluctuations in network status. To tackle this problem, this work proposes the Deep Group Synchronization(DeepGroupSync), a group synchronization based on deep learning that models important features from the data. This model consists of two Gated Recurrent Unit(GRU) layers and one fully-connected layer, which predicts an optimal playout time by utilizing the sequential playout delays. The experiments are conducted with an existing method that uses the EWMA and the proposed method that uses the DeepGroupSync. The results show that the proposed method are more robust against unpredictable or rapid network condition changes than the existing method.

  • An Electro-Optical Tracking System (EOTS) is an electric optical system with EO/IR cameras, laser sensors, and an IMU. The EOTS calculates coordinates of targets, using attitude and acceleration measured by the IMU. In particular for an armed aircraft, the performance of the weapon system depends on how quickly and accurately it acquires the target coordinates. The IMU should be operated after alignment is complete, to meet the coordinate accuracy required by the weapon system so the initial stabilization time of the IMU should be reduced, by quickly measuring the attitude and acceleration. Alignment is the process of determining the initial attitude by resolving the attitude error of the IMU, and the IMU of mission equipment such as an airborne EOTS, uses velocity matching based on the velocity from GPS/INS for aircraft navigation. In this paper, a method is presented to improve the transfer alignment performance of the airborne EOTS, by maneuvering aircraft and the mission equipment. First, the performance factor of the alignment was identified, as a heading error through the velocity matching model and simulation results. Then acceleration maneuvers and attitude changes were necessary, to correct the error. As a result of flight tests applied to an EOTS on a OOO aircraft system, the transfer alignment performance was improved as the duration time was decreased, by more than five times when the aircraft accelerated by more than 0.2g and the EOTS was moving until 6.7deg/s.

Surveys were conducted as part of the 13th wave of the Korea Welfare Panel Study. The survey included academic stress, internet overdependence, depression and anxiety, and self-esteem scales. A total of 383 middle school students completed surveys. Data was analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and SPSS PROCESS Macro. There were three major results. First, internet overdependence partially mediation the effect of academic stress on depression and anxiety. Second, self-esteem moderated the relationship between internet overdependence and depression and anxiety. Third, self-esteem also moderated the mediating effect of academic stress on depression and anxiety through internet overdependence. These results indicate that self-esteem is a protective factor against the negative effects of internet overdependence on mental health and of academic stress on depression and anxiety in middle school students. This paper discusses the implications of these results, this study's limitations, and suggestions for future studies.

  • In response to Incheon tap water accident in 2019, the Ministry of Environment has created the "Comprehensive Measures for Water Safety Management" to improve water operation management, provide systematic technical support, and respond to accidents. Accordingly, K-water is making a smart water supply management system for the entire process of tap water. In order to advance the response to water accidents, it is essential to secure the reliability of real-time water operation data such as flow rate, pressure, and water level, and to develop and apply a warning algorithm in advance using big data analysis techniques. In this paper, various statistical techniques are applied using water supply operation data (flow, pressure, water level, etc) to prepare the foundation for the selection of the optimal operating range and advancement of the monitoring and alarm system. In addition, the arrival time is analyzed through cross-correlation analysis of changes in raw water turbidity between the water intake and water treatment plants. The purpose of this paper is to study the model that predicts the raw water turbidity of a water treatment plant by applying raw water turbidity data considering the time delay according to the flow rate change.

  • As the cloud computing market grows, a variety of cloud services are now reliably delivered. Administrative agencies and public institutions of South Korea are transferring all their information systems to cloud systems. It is essential to develop security solutions in advance in order to safely operate cloud services, as protecting cloud services from misuse and malicious access by insiders and outsiders over the Internet is challenging. In this paper, we propose a zero trust model for cloud storage services that store sensitive data. We then verify the effectiveness of the proposed model by operating a cloud storage service. Memory, web, and network forensics are also performed to track access and usage of cloud users depending on the adoption of the zero trust model. As a cloud storage service, we use Amazon S3(Simple Storage Service) and deploy zero trust techniques such as access control lists and key management systems. In order to consider the different types of access to S3, furthermore, we generate service requests inside and outside AWS(Amazon Web Services) and then analyze the results of the zero trust techniques depending on the location of the service request.

  • In this study, in order to investigate the characteristics of secondary consolidation in the soft clay ground, oedometer tests were carried out in a normally consolidated condition, and the consolidation characteristics of the soft clay ground were examined by the Finite Difference Method (FDM) based on the Elasto-Viscous model proposed by Yoshikuni. The consolidation tests adjusted the consolidation load increment ratio(${\Delta}p/p_0$) to 1.0 for the four cases with initial consolidation pressures of 0.8, 1.6, 3.2, and 6.4 kgf/$cm^2$. The long-term consolidation tests were examined by the tests that changed the load increment ratio to clarify the effect of consolidation load increment. Although the numerical analysis was delayed in the primary consolidation process, from the result of the numerical analysis of the laboratory tests, the applicability of the Elasto-Viscous model was verified from the agreement of the secondary consolidation process. Based on the developing of model ground consist of general soft clay, influences of consoliation parameters on the consolidation characteristics were studied by the numerical analysis.

  • Mobile communication technology after 5th generation requires high speed, hyper-connection, and low latency communication. In order to meet technical requirements for secure hyper-connectivity, low-spec IoT devices that are considered the end of IoT services must also be able to provide the same level of security as high-spec servers. For the purpose of performing these security functions, it is required for cryptographic keys to have the necessary degree of stability in cryptographic algorithms. Cryptographic keys are usually generated from cryptographic random number generators. At this time, good noise sources are needed to generate random numbers, and hardware random number generators such as TRNG are used because it is difficult for the low-spec device environment to obtain sufficient noise sources. In this paper we used the chip which is based on quantum characteristics where the decay of radioactive isotopes is unpredictable, and we presented a variety of methods (TRNG) obtaining an entropy source in the form of binary-bit series. In addition, we conducted the NIST SP 800-90B test for the entropy of output values generated by each TRNG to compare the amount of entropy with each method.
