Prediction of Adiabatic Capillary Tube Length of Heat Pump Using Carbon Dioxide (CO2 히트펌프용 단열 모세관 길이 예측에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the prediction of adiabatic capillary tube of heat pump using carbon dioxide is investigated theoretically and experimentally to offer the basic design data for the operating parameters of this system. The operating parameters considered in this study include evaporation temperature, cooling pressure of gas cooler, mass flowrate, and the length and diameter of capillary tube. Based on study results of several researchers, the correlation predicting the length of capillary tube of $CO_2$ heat pump was proposed. And the experimental results of evaporation temperature, mass flowrate and cooling pressure in adiabatic capillary tube have an good agreement to those calculated from Eq. (3) within 0.63~10.9%. Therefore, the prediction calculating the length of adiabatic capillary tube of $CO_2$ heat pump was proposed at the given conditions such as cooling pressure, evaporation temperature and capillary tube diameter.

  • A relief valve is a mechanical element to keep safety by controlling high pressure. Usually, the high pressure is relieved by using the spring force and letting the fluid to flow from another way out of system. When its normal pressure is reached, the relief valve can return to initial state. The relief valve should be designed for smooth operation and should satisfy the structural safety requirement under operating condition. The commercial software ANSYS/WORKBENCH is utilized for flow and structural analysis. Very high pressure may cause structural problem due to severe stress. The study suggests the design satisfying the structural design requirement

Evaluation of Air-side Friction Characteristics on Design Conditions of Slit Fin and Tube Heat Exchanger (슬릿휜-관 열교환기의 설계조건에서 공기측 압력강하 산출)

  • An experimental study on the air-side pressure drop of slit fin-tube heat exchanger has been carried out. The data reduction methodology for air-side pressure drop in the literature is not based on a consistent approach. This paper focuses on method of data reduction to obtain the air-side performance of fin-tube heat exchanger using R22 and recommends standard procedures for dry and wet surface pressure drop estimation in fin-tube heat exchanger. A comparison was made between the predictions of previously proposed empirical correlations and experimental data for the air-side pressure drop on design conditions of condenser and evaporator. Results are pre-sented as plots of friction f-factor against Reynolds number based on the fin collar outside diameter and compared with previous studies. The data covers a range of refrigerant mass fluxes of $150{\sim}250\;kg/m^2s$ with air flows at velocity ranges from 0.38 m/s to 1.6 m/s.

  • This paper addresses to the injection pressure effect on the diesel spray. The injection pressure is varied from 10MPa, in general system, upto 200MPa, in high pressured system in order to understand the effect. The gas phase is modelled in terms of the Eulerian continuum conservation equations of mass, momentum, energy and fuel vapour fraction. The liquid phase is modelled following the discrete droplet model approach in Lagrangian form. The droplet distributions, vapor fractions and gas flows are analyzed in various injection pressure cases.

  • 정밀화학, 제약산업 등에 필요한 에탄올, IPA 등과 같은 유기용매를 고순도로 농축하는 공정은 유기용매와 물과의 혼합물이 일정 농도에서 공비점을 형성하여 일반 증류로는 분리하기 힘들어 Benzene, Cycloheaxane 드의 Entrainer를 첨가하여 상대휘발도를 변화시켜 분리하는 공비증류가 이용되고 있다. 그러나 공비증류는 에너지 사용량이 많고 유독한 물질을 사용하므로 투과증발법과 같은 저에너지 소비형, 환경 친화적인 공정에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 투과증발법에 의한 유기용매 농축공정은 물과의 친화성이 높은 비다공성 막을 이용하여 선택적으로 물을 투과하여 유기용매를 탈수하는 방법으로 투과를 위한 Driving force는 Feed side와 Permeate side사이의 Chemical potential gradient로 이는 물에 대한 Partial vapor pressure differnece로 다음과 같이 표시된다. $\Delta \mu_{F/P.W} = RT ln\frac{y_WP_P}{x_W\gamma_WP_{o.W}}$ 따라서 투과속도를 높이기 위해서 Permeate side를 진공상태로 하여 투과하는 물질을 기화시키고 이를 다시 응축하여 Permeate side의 압력을 낮게 유지시켜야 한다.

  • 활성화된 반응성 증발법을 이용하여 비저항 .rho.=1*$10^{-3}$.OMEGA..cm, 이동도 .mu.=4*$10^{3}$$cm^{2}$/V.sec이고 두께가 약 400.angs.인 In$_{2}$O$_{3}$ 박막을 실온에서 유리기판에 생성시켰다. 광투과율은 파장 400-800nm범위에서 80% 이상으로 나타났고 구조는 무정형인 것으로 나타났다. 낮은 저항의 In$_{2}$O$_{3}$ 박막은 Ar과 $O_{2}$의 압력을 적적히 조절함으로서 얻을 수 있을 것으로 분석되었고 약 350.deg.C의 온도로 30분간 열처리로서 정형화할 수 있는 것으로 판단되었다. 또한 증발율, 이동도 및 저항과 캐리어 농도와의 상관관계도 고찰하여 보았다.

  • For the automation of a evaporation process, computer based evaporation system was built and applied to acquisition of the process variables with an centrifugal thin film evaporator(Centri-Therm, CT-1B). Controls of the process conditions were performed by computer system for pressure, feeding rate, steam, evaporation temperature and flow rate of cooling water. The data acquisitions were also performed by computer system for the changes in the concentration and temperature readings for steam, evaporation and cooling water at the both inlet and outlet. The control and the acquisition variables were collected through the interface device and analyzed by programs using the PASCAL language. To control the feeding rate during the concentration process, inverter was used. The cooling water for the vapor condensation was controlled by the valve controller and should be supplied with the flow rate of 125 kg/h. The maximum vapor condensation rate was 41.7kg/h at the feeding rate of 125 kg/h.

Theoretical study on the performance improvement of refrigeration system installed with ejector entraining expansion gases after expansion process (이젝터를 적용한 팽창기체 흡입 냉동시스템의 성능향상 해석 연구)

  • In this paper, the performance characteristics for newly developed ejector refrigeration system, which is that the part of saturated vapor from liquid-vapor separator after ejector expansion process is entrained in ejector, and the saturated liquid flows in the evaporator and compressed with the rest of vapor in separator, is studied. The reasons of the performance improvement of refrigeration system are that the refrigeration capacity is increased due to quality reduction after iso-entropic expansion process by ejector and the compression work is reduced because of the relatively high pressure of vapor refrigerant before compression process. The comparison results of the ejector system entraining expansion gases with the present residential freezer show that the COP increases to 27.8% maximum in case of the pressure drop to 65% of high pressure of freezer, and to 40.1% for 75% pressure drop of refrigerant R401A. The COP improvement rate with 20%~60% pressure lift in diffuser of ejector is only 2.6%~3%.
