  • Perpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception of death between Korean and Chinese nursing students. And it will help develop curriculum for preparing death, the quality of hospice care, as well as nursing education and practice. Methods: Data was collected from 492 nursing students participated(248 Korean and 244 Chinese) by questionnaire designed for examining Death Orientation (Thorson & Powell, 1988). They were analyzed using Cronbach's Alpha coefficients, factor analysis, t-test, ANOVA and regression analysis (SPSS; win 12.0 version) Results: More than half of the Korean nursing students followed a religion (58.5%) while the majority of Chinese nursing students did not follow a religion (93.9%). In the view of the afterlife, nursing students in China had two views. 'I really don't know what happens after a person dies (30.3%)' and ‘There is no afterlife and death is the end (29.5%)’. On the other hand the Korean nursing students’ answer were, 'After dying, a person goes to heaven or hell (27.3%)' and 'I really don't know what happens after a person dies. (22.9%)' The study also found that the average of 25 items in Death Orientation is 2.36points of nursing students in Korea and 2.50points of nursing students in China. This means that the concern, anxiety and fear were of the middle level for the Chinese Students and were higher than Korean students (t=3.51, p=.000). In the low factor of death orientation, those in Korea had higher 'anxiety of burden to family' than those in China (t=-3.50, p=.001). The nursing students in China had higher 'anxiety of the unknown (t=4.96, p=.000)', 'fear of suffering (t=6.88, p=.000), 'fear of extinction body and life (t=5.20, p=.000), 'fear of lost self-control(t=2.12, p=.034)', and 'anxiety of future existence and nonexistence (t=2.33, p=.020)' than those in Korea. There was no statistically significant difference for the 'concern of body and fear of identity lost' category. The death orientation of Korean nursing students had statistically significant differences according to age (t=3.20, p=.002), religion (t=2.56, p=.011), and afterlife (F=4.64, p=.000). The contribution of Death Orientation had a statistically significant difference, the afterlife variable (0.735, p=0.001). The death orientation of Chinese nursing students did not have any statistically significant differences. Conclusion: In conclusion, there were differences in death orientation between Korean and Chinese nursing students. In particular, those who believed in afterlife showed acceptance of death. The results of this study suggest that nursing curricula should include education program on death and spiritual nursing. Additional studies are needed to establish death education in China with careful considerations on Chinese policies, cultures and social systems.

The expectations and the evaluations on the Korean medical tour services were compare by t-test. To find the factors influencing satisfaction on Korean medical tour services, diverse linear regression models were estimated. According to the best fit regression model, technologies, quality of medical tour services, and health care cost significantly and positively influenced satisfaction on the Korean medical tour services. The results of the study suggested that we need to prepare marketing strategies to improve understandings on Korean medical tour services for the Chinese college students. Improvement of technology, improvement of quality of health service, and setting of reasonable price are important to attract more Chinese patients to Korea.

  • This study was conducted to investigate students' perception of the integration of Chinese ethnic minority culture into the college EFL teaching which was carried out in the fall and spring semesters with different presentation topics. One and the same questionnaire was distributed to 61 participants, involving Han Chinese and Chinese ethnic minority students, at a university in ethnic minority area in China at the end of each semester, and SPSS 20.0 was used for t-test to analyze the data. The research results showed that Chinese undergraduates have got more significant improvements in cultural cognition, emotions, attitudes, and multi-cultural values in the spring semester than those in the fall semester. All participants benefit a lot from multi-cultural activities without significant differences between Han Chinese and ethnic minority students in both semesters. It is suggested that ethnic minority culture be integrated into the college EFL teaching, along with English culture and Chinese mainstream culture, which be administered as a practical teaching mode to develop students' intercultural competence.

  • Relying on disciplinary competitions to enhance college students' innovation and entrepreneurship is one of the specific paths to explore the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities. This paper conducts an empirical study on the practice of disciplinary competitions among Chinese university students, the problems of innovation and entrepreneurship education in Chinese universities and the impact of disciplinary competitions on innovation and entrepreneurship among Chinese university students, using university students in Chinese universities as the respondents. The data collected online and offline were analysed using SPSS26 statistical software. The results of the analysis show that Chinese university students show a high level of interest in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and that there are some differences in the level of interest in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions among university students of different academic levels. More than half of Chinese university students have participated in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and the initiative of participating in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions varies by grade. The biggest problem facing innovation and entrepreneurship education in schools is the lack of professional innovation and entrepreneurship teachers, followed by the lack of guidance on innovation and entrepreneurship-related policies, and the unreasonable reward system, which makes teachers and students less motivated to innovate and entrepreneurship. Through one-dimensional linear regression analysis, it is found that the degree of attention to innovation and entrepreneurship among college students affects college students' entrepreneurial awareness and entrepreneurial practice; the degree of initiative of college students' innovation and entrepreneurship competition affects college students' entrepreneurial effect; and the degree of initiative of college students' innovation and entrepreneurship competition affects college students' entrepreneurial practice.

However, previous research has provided limited analysis on the actual impact of Social Support on the Entrepreneurial Intention of Chinese College Students. The purpose of this study is to enhance the Entrepreneurial Intention of Chinese College Students and to ascertain the mediating effect of Career Adaptability in the relationship between Social Support and Entrepreneurial Intention. Zhejiang Province, the top-ranked province in private economy in China, possesses a strong economic development momentum and an innovative entrepreneurial atmosphere. Therefore, this study selected 194 third and fourth-year undergraduate students from universities in Zhejiang Province as participants and collected data through a survey utilizing measures of Social Support, Career Adaptability, and Entrepreneurial Intention. The collected data was analyzed for correlations between the measured variables using SPSS 26 and Stata 17 SEM Builder for quantification and validation. The results of the study revealed that, firstly, while Social Support did not have a direct impact on Entrepreneurial Intention, it was found to have an indirect influence on Entrepreneurial Intention through Career Adaptability and its various sub-variables. Secondly, Social Support among College Students was found to have a positive impact on Career Adaptability. Thirdly, Career Adaptability among College Students was found to have a positive impact on Entrepreneurial Intention. • The goal of this study is to compare entrepreneurial orientation of both countries' students and to compare the effect of individualism on developing entrepreneurial orientation of both countries. In order to achieve this goal, this study will conduct two analysis. Firstly, the comparative study on entrepreneurial orientation of both students will be implemented by conducting F-test and t-test. Secondly, the regression analysis between an independent variable - individualism - and dependent variables - innovativeness, internal locus of control, and entrepreneurial orientation - will be conducted in order to compare the effect of individualism on developing entrepreneurial orientation. Prior to implementation of two analysis, this study has implemented the survey to Korean and Chinese university students to estimate entrepreneurial orientation and a cultural variable to influence entrepreneurial orientation. The question of survey is divided into two parts - individual entrepreneurial orientation including internal locus of control and innovativeness and a cultural variable, individualism. As other precedent comparative studies of Chines and Korean potential entrepreneurship concluded, Chinese students have shown higher entrepreneurial orientation than Korean students. However, on the contrary to prior studies on cultural factors and entrepreneurship, only Chinese students' entrepreneurial orientation is influenced by individualism. Any dependent variables of Korean students were not affected by individualism variable.
