Second, the necessity of adopting subject divisional plan is to secure enough subject librarians and large space These necessities must be fulfilled prior to adopting the subject divisional plan. Third subject divisional plan model for efficient reference service of university library is 'wide-area subject divisional plan model'. 1) In the case of central library, the space model of wide-area subject divisional plan is programmed as undergraduate library for the undergraduate students. And each subject libraries is operated as research library for the professors and graduate students. 2) In central library, the collection model of wide-area subject divisional plan is practiced as offering reference and general education centered data for undergraduate students 'study. And each subject libraries is furnished with research papers, recent journals, and various major-related data. 3) The human resource model of wide-area subject divisional plan is applicated by arranging appropriate librarians at the right place. In the case of central library, the reference librarians and librarians who educate the users and take charge of function are set in to help undergraduate students with their study. Subject library needs to secure subject librarians, librarians who take charge of function, and graduate students who are related to the subject as student assistant. Then it is possible to discriminate reference service by subjects and users.

This study aims to find the direction of subject-divisional plan and the change of composition factors in university Library. To confront new information environment, change of service providing environment, academic characteristics of universities. and users' information needs, the collection and service of university libraries are needed to be restructured based on subject-divisional plan. To adopt subject divisional plan effectively. it is necessary to recognize necessity and reasonability of subject - divisional plan by analyzing a change of physical, intellectual, human, and user factors in the libraries from the aspect of subject-divisional plan. That is, the collection and service of university libraries should be reorganized according to the subjects along with such changes as below. First, people came to consider convenience of space and path of building inside more than past. Second, collection becomes constructed and materials are located based on effectiveness rather than logicality. Third, subject oriented service of library became active through developing the subject abilities of librarians. Fourth, users have tendency to visit libraries lot a special subject matter.

지난 4월 7일 우리 협회 주최로 섬유센터 중회의실에서 개최한 인공위성 개발의 국산화와 산업화전략 이라는 주제의 우주산업세미나에는 국내의 관련업계 및 연구기관 대표 등 많은 인사가 참석하여 성황을 이루었고 금년부터 시작되는 국산 인공위성 개발에 많은 관심을 보였다. 이에 본지는 당일 발표된 두분의 주제 가운데 항공우주연구소의 우주산업단장인 류장수 박사의 주제발표 요지를 실어 이날 참석하지 못한 여러분들의 요청에 답하기로 했다. 이하 본문에 약 한시간여에 걸친 류장수 박사의 "다목적실용위성 개발 및 국산화 계획"이라는 제하의 주제 발표 내용을 간추린 것으로 우리나라가 국가적 과제로 추진하는 위성 국산화계획을 이래하고 이에 참여를 바라는 기업들에게 많은 참고가 될 것을 기대한다.

Joint collection and sharing of specialized academic resources among academic libraries will not only promote academic research at universities in general but also further diversification and concentration process of academic libraries. For that both the government and universities should make concerted policy efforts to fortify individual characteristics of each academic library. This study proposes two concrete plans to build a national information management system comprising the specialized resources of academic libraries. One is to utilize the existing cooperative network of Korea Education & Research Information Service(KERIS) as a national hub for information exchange, and the other is to activate various regional or subject-based committees to encourage subject-oriented specialization of university libraries.

본 연구에서는 국내 문헌정보학 분야의 연구 논문 중 이용자 관련 연구 논문 125편을 대상으로 논문에 부여된 주제어간의 연결 관계를 분석 하였다. 사전 작업을 통하여 정리된 226개의 주제어에 대한 연결 관계를 네트워크 분석을 통하여 분석하고 시각화 하였다. 그래프를 통하여 주제어간 연결 강도를 확인하였고, 다른 주제어와 연결성이 높은 상위 20개의 주제어를 제시하였다. 주제어간 근접성이 높은 주제어를 군집화한 결과 14개의 군집으로 정리되었다. 다른 주제어와 연결이 없이 고립된 군집이 8개, 연결된 군집이 6개였다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the field librarians' opinions of the library specialization and specialized librarian and understand the librarians' working conditions and environment. Questionnaire were developed based on the previous studies and surveys were conducted with the librarians of public libraries, university libraries, and professional librarians across the nation. A total of 392 librarians have responded to the survey. As for the main result, the users' satisfaction with the specialization service was perceived to be high, and the most difficult matter in performing the specialization service is the lack of knowledge on the subject matter, and the library environment for the specialization service is not enough. The specialization service should be led by the theme specialized librarians, and the qualification criteria for the theme specialized librarians are required, and the qualification systems should be managed by the state.

"The Plan for the Development of the National Geographic Information System" designates the following six major thematic maps as the main subject of digital mapping project: topographic-cadastral maps; administrative boundary maps; land use maps; road network maps; national land zoning maps; and urban planning maps. Carrying out the digital mapping project requires standards and guidelines for digitizing process. However, there is neither standards nor guidelines with regard to thematic map production. This study describes the steps involved in producing thematic maps and provides the best procedural alternative for the production of thematic maps. Based on procedural alternative suggested by this study, actual digital maps have been experimentally produced for the selected area, Anyang-Si Dongan-Gu. The results of this experimental work have been utilized to government for not only making the guidelines but also initiating plans for the development of thematic map production.roduction.

일반적으로 PubMed와 같은 인터넷을 이용한 대규모 의료 문헌정보 검색시스템에서 포괄적인 주제어나 간결한 주제어를 이용한 검색을 시도할 경우, 종종 매우 다양한 세부주제의 문헌리스트들이 다량으로 검색된다. 이러한 경우 이용자는 실제로 본인이 원했던 세부주제에 부합되는 문헌들을 찾기 위해서는 검색결과로 주어진 긴 문헌리스트상의 문헌 하나하나에 대해 다시 문헌제목이나 혹은 요약 등의 내용을 직접 읽어보고 내용을 확인하여야 한다. 이러한 작업은 매우 번거럽고 시간과 노력을 많이 필요로 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 노력을 줄이기 위한 한 가지 방안으로, PubMed 시스템의 주제어 검색결과로 주어진 문헌들에 대해 내용의 유사성과 차별성에 따라 자동으로 몇 개의 그룹으로 나누어주는 군집화시스템 MedCluster의 설계와 구현에 대해 소개한다. MedCluster의 큰 특징은 기존의 문서 군집화 방법과는 다른 신경망 GHSOM을 이용한 군집화 방법을 사용하는 점이다. GHSOM은 미리 문서 그룹의 개수를 정해줄 필요가 없고 다양한 레벨의 문서 그룹들을 얻을 수 있는 계층적 군집화를 이루어낸다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 신경망 GHSOM의 구조와 특성에 대해 간략히 살펴보고, GHSOM을 채용한 의료문헌 군집화시스템 MedCluster의 설계와 구현에 대해 설명한다.

본 논문에서는 주제별 분류기반의 개인화 검색시스템의 평가를 위해서 기존의 한글 정보 검색시스템 평가를 위해서 사용하는 한글 테스트 컬렉션(HANTEC v2.0)을 사용하였다. 주제별 분류기반의 개인화 검색 시스템의 평가를 위해서 첫째, 한글 테스트 컬렉션을 한국일보-40075 문서분류 테스트 컬렉션을 이용하여 주제별 분류를 수행 하였다. 둘째, 한국일보-40075 문서분류 테스트 컬렉션의 분류 체계에 다라 한글 테스트 컬렉션의 문서들을 kNN 분류기를 이용하여 분류를 수행하였다. 마지막으로 구축된 컬렉션을 이용하여 주제별 분류기반의 개인화 검색시스템의 성능 평가를 수행하였다.

일반영역 음성인식은 n-gram 희소성 문제로 인해 대용량의 언어모델이 필요하다. 대용량 언어모델은 분산형 모델로 구현될 수 있고, 사용자 입력에 대한 동적 언어모델 보간 기술을 통해 음성인식 성능을 개선할 수 있다. 본 논문은 동적 언어모델 보간 기술에 대한 새로운 접근방법을 시도한다. 텍스트 군집화를 통해 주제별 언어모델을 생성한다. 여기서 주제는 사용자 입력 영역에 대응한다. 본 논문은 사용자 입력에 대하여 실시간으로 주제별 언어모델의 보간 가중치 값을 계산하는 접근 방법을 제시한다. 또한 언어모델의 보간 가중치 값 계산의 부담을 감소하기 위해 언어모델 군집화를 통해 대용량 언어모델 보간 접근 방법의 연산 부담을 해소하기 위한 시도를 한다. 주제별 언어모델에 기반하고 언어모델 군집화를 통한 동적 언어모델 보간 기술의 실험 결과 음성인식 오류 감소율 6.89%를 달성했다. 또한 언어모델 군집화 기술은 음성인식 정확도를 0.09% 저하시켰을 때 실행 시간을 17.6% 개선시키는 실험결과를 보였다.
