A Study on the Properties of Grout Materials Based on Cement Type (시멘트계 주입재의 주입특성에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the characteristics of chemical grouting, such as solidification, penetrability, were analyzed experimentally by grain size of grout materials and permeability, relative density of the ground. For evaluating applicability of grout material, solidification tests and permeability tests were peformed. From the results of the tests, effective solidification ratio and penetrability ratio of Micro Cement were 75% and 86% respectively when ground permeability was in the range of 10$^{-4}$ to 10$^{-2}$cm/sec. On the other hand, effective solidification ratio and penetrability ratio of Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) were both lower than 50%. When penetrability of grout material is needed for improvement of dam foundation and soft ground, application of Micro Cement is much superior to that of the other materials. The results of the grouting tests in the hydrodynamic ground show that the solidification effect of long gel-time grout material is excellent as injection pressure increases when groundwater velocity is relatively low. But when groundwater velocity is relatively high, the solidifcation effect of long gel-time grout material is very poor because most grout materials are outflowed.

휴믹 물질 존재 시 흑탄의 농약 흡착 능 변화 연구

  • 본 연구에서는 휴믹 물질의 존재 시 흑탄의 주입량에 따른 농약 성분별 흡착 제거율 변화를 살펴보았다. 농약 성분과 휴믹산 을 주입 시 흑탄의 흡착능 변화를 알아보기 위해, 흑탄 주입량을 1g, 3g, 5g, 7g 달리하여 농약 성분의 제거율 변화를 살펴본 결과 흑탄 1g, 흑탄 7g, 휴믹 산불 주입 시 농약성분 만을 주입하였을 때 보다 각각 18$\sim$67%, 7$\sim$10% 낮은 제거율을 나타내었다. 또한 휴믹산 10mg/L, 50mg/L을 주입하여 휴믹산의 주입농도 증가 시 흡착 능에 미치는 영향을 살펴본 결과 휴믹산 농도를 늘릴수록 흡착되지 않고 남아있는 농약성분 농도가 높아졌다. 농약성분 제거를 위한 흡착제로의 흑탄의사용은 3 가지 농약성분 (Butachlor, Fenitrothion, Diazinon)에 대해 높은 제거율을 보였으며, 자연수 속에 녹아있는 휴믹물질 중 하나인 휴믹산에 의한 영향을 받을 것으로 보여진다.

Comparison of Viable Rates of Chick Embryos by Different Eggshell Window Positioning (닭 배자 조작을 위한 난각 주입부위별 생존율 비교)

  • This study was conducted to compare the survival rate of chick embryos among different eggshell window positions and to search for the most appropriate injection position. The eggshells were punctured at blunt-end, sharp-end and side-up with a sterilized fine forceps, respectively. The survival rate of sharp-end window was higher than the other window positions. Injection of Dulbecco’s modified eagle’s medium (DMEM) through blunt-end window (BE1) was impossible because inner cell membrane was obscure. The 2 ${\mu}$L DMEM was injected into 2.5 d-old embryo blood vessel through sharp end window. To prevent hemorrhages at the point of injection, the air bubbles were injected into the embryo blood vessel. The survival rate of chicks embryo in sharp end window was about 17.0%. Therefore, this sharp-end window system will be helpful for the production of germline chimera or transgenic chicken using primordial germ cells ( PGCs ).

Effect of Reacting Gas Injection Rate and Reductant Quantity on Preparation of Uranium Tetrachloride in Chlorination of Uranium Dioxide (이산화우라늄의 염소화반응에서 반응가수 주입량과 환원제의 양이 사염화우라늄 제조에 미치는 영향)

  • 사염화우라늄을 제조하기 위한 가장 효율적인 반응계는 이산화우라늄, 염소가스와 탄소분말이다. 여러 가지 실험변수 가운데 이산화우라늄의 염소화반응에 사용된 염소가스 주입량과 탄소의 양이 사염화우라늄 제조에 미치는 영향에 관하여 연구하였다. 각각의 실험변수들에 대한 전화율과 휘발률 계산을 통해 효율적인 반응을 위한 적정 염소가스 주입량과 탄소의 양을 구하였고, 이산화우라늄의 증가함에 따라 직접접촉에 의한 기체-고체반응에서는 전화율과 휘발률은 증가했으나 이후 과량을 첨가함에 따라 감소하였고, 용융염내의 기체-액체반응에서는 전화율의 미미한 증가와 휘발률의 감소를 확인하였가. 염소주입량이 증가함에 따라 전화율과 휘발률이 증가했으며, 과량의 염소가수 주입시 고이온가 염화물의 생성량이 증가하였다.

Effects of Sucrose Treatment on the Morphology and Integration of foreign DNA into Bovine Oocytes (소 난자에서 형태와 외래 DNA Integration에 관한 Sucrose 처리의 효과)

  • The microinjection of retroviral vectors into the perivitelline spaces of MII-stage oocytes increased production of transgenic bovine embryos. However, oocytes have various sizes of perivitelline space, and there is the tendency that the oocyte membranes are damageable by micropipettes during the injection of retroviral vectors into perivitelline spaces or oocytes. Thus, it was not always possible to stably inject retroviral vector into perivitelline spaces of oocytes. Here we used sucrose to minimize the damage of the oocyte membrane. When the oocytes were suspended in 0.5% sucrose, poor quality oocytes showed rough cytoplasmic membranes, while good quality oocytes maintained smooth membranes. However, when the tatters were subjected to in vitro fertilization, no significant differences were observed in cleavage rates (82% of control Vs. 84% of sucrose treated oocytes). The Same trends were obtained from the oocytes fertilized after microinjection of LN$\beta$-EGFP and LNC-hGH genes into the perivitelline spares. The rates of cleavage and blastocyst from microinjection of LN$\beta$-EGFP genes were 81 and 25%, and from microinjection of LNC-hGM genes were 53 and 30%, respectively. The result indicated that microinjected oocytes could develop to the blastocyst stages after in vitro fertilization with no significant difference from control group. Moreover, the integration of hGH-gene (by PCR analysis) was detected in 52% of infected cleaved embryos and the expression of EGFP-gene (under a fluoresrence microscope) was also observed in 34% of infected blastocyst. These results indicated that 0.5% sucrose treatment could be an efficient method not only to select good quality embryos but also to inject retroviral vectors into perivitelline spares without any harm and hence improving developmental rates.

Etch Rate Dependence of Differently Doped Poly-Si Films on the Plasma Parameters (플라즈마 변수에 의한 불순물주입 다결정실리콘 박막의 식각율 변화)

  • The dependence of the etch rates of differently doped poly-Si films on the gas composition, the chamber pressure and the RF power was investigated in detail. The highest anisotropy and the lowest CD loss were achieved at the $SF_6$-rich compositions, i.e., $Cl_2:SF_6$=17:33 (SCCM), in the $POCl_3$-doped poly-Si. The etch rates increased for n-type dopant (phosphorus), while decreased for p-type (boron) with increasing the doping levels irrespective of plasma parameters. And from the results of the activation of doped poly-Si films the active carrier concentrations as well as the doping concentrations were found to be responsible for the increase of the etch rate of the phosphorus-doped poly-Si.

In Vitro Development of IVM/IVF Derived Hanwoo Embryos after DNA Microinjection (DNA 미세현미 주입 한우 수정란의 체외 발달)

  • This study was carried out to investigated developmental ability of IVM/IVF derived hanwoo embryos after DNA microinjection. Microinjected hanwoo embryos were cultured fur 7 days. The cleavage rates of DNA injected embrys(36.3%) was significantly lower than those of non-injected embryos(67.4%; p<0.05). The percentage of injected embryos reaching to the morulae and blastocyst was significantly lower than those of non-injected embryos(p<0.05). When injected embryo were cultured contaning L-ascorbic acid and $\alpha$-tocopherol for 168 hrs, the morulae and blastocyst rates were significantly higher than control(p<0.05). These results suggested that the addition of L-ascorbic acid and $\alpha$-tocopherol can enhanced development to the morulae and blastocyst of microinjected embryos and improved culture condition increased the transgenic hanwoo embryos.

Removal of Microalgae Using Inorganic Coagulants in Coagulation and Sedimentation Processes for Water Treatment (응집.침전공정에서 무기고분자응집제를 이용한 미세조류의 제거)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the removal possibility of microalgae using inorganic coagulants in coagulation and sedimentation process for water treatment. Removal of microalgae was studied according to coagulant type(Alum and PAC), coagulation factors(alkalinity, coagulant dosage, and setting time), and size fraction of microalgae. The contribution of applied coagulants for removal of microalgae was also examined. The removal rate of the microalgae by change of alkalinity was most high in 25 mg/L of alkalinity(Alum) as 87.2% and 30 mg/L of that(PAC) as 90.1%. Optimal coagulant dosage to remove the microalgae was 40 mg/L(removal effi.; 88.1%), and PAC was 50 mg/L(removal effi.; 90.1%). Alum was better than the PAC to remove the microlgae. In the water treatment processes such as rapid slow mixing and sedimentation the removal efficiency of microalgae with coagulants was 2 times higher than that of without. In optimal condition, the removal efficiencies of microalgae were nanoplankton > microplankton > picoplankton. Especially, the removal efficiency of the picoplankton was very low as below 30%.

Effect of Dry Fog Injection on Waste Decomposition in an Aerobic Landfill (호기성매립지에서 드라이포그 주입에 의한 폐기물분해 촉진에 관한 연구)

  • The objective of this research was to assess the effect of moisture content and water injection method into the landfill on waste decomposition in an aerobic landfill. Firstly, respirometric experiments were performed in order to assess the effect of initial moisture content (20%, 30%, 40% and 50% respectively) on landfilled waste decomposition. The cumulative oxygen uptake and oxygen uptake rate were highly increased with the increase of initial moisture content. Secondly, lysimeter experiments showed that in comparison with the vertical injection method, dry fog system enhanced decomposition of organic wastes. Also, dry fog system provided uniform moisture distribution more than the vertical injection method within landfill.

Optimal coagulant and its dosage for turbidity and total organic dissolved carbon removal (탁도와 총유기탄소 제거를 위한 최적응집제 및 투여량 선정 연구)

  • Three coagulants, alum sulfate(alum), poly aluminum chloride(PAC) and poly aluminum silicate chloride (PASC), were used to remove low to high turbidity and TOC in surface and ground blended water. Laboratory experiments and pilot plant experiments were carried out to evaluate the optimal coagulant and its dosage. To determine the optimized coagulant and its dosage, the turbidity, TOC and pH were measured. The experimental results showed the best removal performance using PASC. The optimal dosage of PASC between 3-20 NTU was found to be 15 mg/L in the jar test. In the pilot test, a 15 mg/L PASC dosage was applied and resulted in the efficient removal of turbidity and TOC between 3.6-27 NTU. The removal efficiency of PASC increased with increasing turbidity and TOC.
