The population of Korean Society is aging rapidly at a pace which is unprecedented in the world. This demographic change results in the various socioeconomic and cultural changes accompanied by spatial changes. The purpose of this study is to examine major characteristics of residential medical facilities for the elderly and the life of those using the facilities of the Capital Region in Korea. Major findings of the study are as follows. The characteristics of the location of residential medical facilities for the elderly and the life of those using the facilities are influenced not only by the mobility of the elderly. but also by the distance between the facilities and Seoul and also by the residential environments of the facilities. The location of the facilities and the mobility of the elderly, followed by the residential location of the family have an effect on everyday life of the elderly. Therefore, the location for residential medical facilities is not recommended to be far from the metropolitan area.

As interest in eco-friendly architecture and Korean traditional culture is increasing, interest in contemporary han-ok is steadily increasing. Recently, many people experienced the han-ok directly and indirectly with the attention of a commercial contemporary han-ok such as restaurants, coffee shops, and lodging facilities, and as a result, the house has a preference for the residence of the contemporary han-ok. Compared to modern residential houses, however, han-ok is lack the convenience of heating and cooling, energy management, security, and maintenance. For this reason, the increased interest and preference for han-ok does not lead to living in contemporary han-ok. This study was conducted in the following ways to improve inconvenience by applying smart home services to contemporary han-ok. Recent technology trends in smart home services and technologies developed and marketed to date have been identified in previous research cases and literature studies. Based on this, a list of smart home services and their application methods were derived that would relieve the inconvenience of contemporary han-ok for smart home services. We hope that this research will serve as a reference for subsequent researchers studying contemporary han-ok.

본 연구는 삶의 질에 관한 관점을 우리 나라 도시저소득층의 주거실태를 중심으로 살펴보고자 한다. 이를 바탕으로 주거빈곤층의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 발전대안을 모색하도록 한다. 국내외 거의 모든 ‘삶의 질’선행연구에 있어 중요한 지표로서‘주택’,‘주거환경’,‘주거장소’등 주거에 관한 상이 포함되어 있다. 즉 삶의 질 연구에 있어 주택 및 주거환경은 가장 기본적이고 필수적 요소임을 확인할 수 있다. 주거빈곤을 기능적 측면, 경제적 측면, 최저주거기준 측면, 그리고 주거권 측면에서 분석하고, 한국의 주거빈곤실태를 파악하였다. 특히 서울을 비롯한 대도시의 주거빈곤층은 달동네.산동네라 불리는 불량주거지, 비닐하우스, 쪽방 등에 거주하며, 이들은 주로 주택점유 형태상 전세, 보증부월세, 월세 등의 임차가구의 대부분을 차지한다. 삶의 질과 주거환경개선을 위한 발전대안 모색을 위해 주거분야 ‘삶의 질 지표’를 제안하였다. 지표의 내용으로 주택 그 자체뿐 아니라 주거기능이 원활하도록 하는 공공서비스, 안전 등의 광의적 접근이 필요함을 강조하였다. 아울러 삶의 질에 관련된 정책과제를 해결하기 위해서는 적어도 네 가지 부문(정부, 민간부문, NGO/CBO, 주민)별 각자의 역할을 강조하였다.

This study aims to examine the effect of housing environment on single mothers' health and to find out how to improve their health and housing environment. For the purpose, this study analyzed the Single-parents survey carried out by Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in 2015. The results are as follows. When residential functions such as mining, heating, and noise are not fulfilled among the physical characteristics of the residential environment, single-mothers are more likely to feel unhealthy. Among the socio-economic characteristics of housing, people who live in public rental housing are more likely to feel unhealthy than those living in own house. And people who have excessive household debt are less healthy than those having no debt. Socioeconomic characteristics of housing environments had a significant effect on depression of single-mothers. Based on the results, the author suggested that housing improvement services, survey of housing conditions of single parents, provision of services considering household debt and improving residential conditions of public rentals houses should be implemented.

Objectives : Residential services are provided to help patients with chronic mental illness, but those have some problems because of provider focused services and uniformized training. So the purpose of the study was to explore residential needs of patients with the chronic mental illness such as chronic schizophrenia. Methods : A survey was conducted on 139 mental illness patients using mental health facilities at Ansan city area in South Korea. We investigated their demographic and social characteristics, the degree of self- reliance and residential service needs. Results : More than half of them had the desire for self-reliance, and they needed job support mostly. They were positive about the use of residential facilities and needed daily living skill and social skill training. Also they preferred day rehabilitation in type of facility. And they wanted to operate in a way that they returned home at the weekend after group home. Conclusions : For facilitating the recovery of patients with chronic mental illness, it would be necessary to provide individualized residential rehabilitation services and to improve existing residential facilities and programs reflected on the patients' needs.

The paradigm of the housing policy has been transformed from housing supply to housing welfare, from the policy of housing quantity expansion to the policy of customized housing welfare. The Housing Act was newly enacted to realize the new paradigm of the housing policy. The Act establishes the role of the Housing Welfare Centers in the housing welfare delivery system, but they have some difficulties in doing their role because of limited amount of centers and their manpower. The desirable and efficient model of housing welfare delivery system, therefore, is that the demand of housing welfare is discovered on local base, and that demanders can be provided housing welfare service connected to local governments or neighborhood housing welfare centers. To do so local communities should be established and activated, and the needs of housing welfare service also be discovered. This study is a exploratory one on communities' role in housing welfare delivery system in spite of some limitations based on existing theories and studies, and is significant as a new trial.

Purpose: Recently, Korea has been promoting smart cities that combine artificial intelligence(AI), big data, ICT, and the Internet of Things(IoT), and these technologies are being applied to housing services and are developing into smart housing services. This study try to analyze what is the most necessary and important the AI smart housing services for the housing disadvantaged persons through a survey of experts and the housing disadvantaged persons. And by collecting these necessary and important services, we aim to present elements and directions for the AI smart housing services policy for the housing disadvantaged persons. Methods: Firstly, we asked 11 experts, Secondly, the desire and necessity for the above smart housing service was identified through an online survey targeting the housing disadvantaged persons. Thirdly, the survey was analyzed and reliability was measured through descriptive statistical analysis using SPSS program. Fourthly, based on the results of descriptive statistics analysis, the necessity and importance of AI smart housing services from the perspective of the housing disadvantaged were derived. Results: The results of this study are that firstly, both experts and the housing disadvantaged persons viewed safety and health-related services as the most important and necessary among AI smart housing services, secondly, there is a difference in perspectives on the services that should be priority between experts and people with disabilities, and lastly there are differences in perspectives and needs for services that should be priority between the disabled and the elderly.

The purpose of this paper is to predict the future changes of housing through the Delphi technique. The targets to predict were set by housing type, housing space, housing demand, and architectural technology. The results were as follows: ① The influences of social and value perspectives on the change of housing type, space, and demand would be high, on the other hands, the influence of political perspective would be low. ② In terms of housing type, the increase in demand for downsizing housing for high-rise buildings and the possibility of realizing remote medical support services and homecare using big data are highly predicted. That is, ③ it is anticipated that IoTs will have a significant influences on future housing changes, and ④ enactment of co-housing and related laws by the sharing economy, services for maintenance through the supply of high-rise and high-density homes, housing support for residents, and advanced lease markets by developed architectural technology are expected as anticipated forms of future housing.

Home has significant meaning in the real world. In contrast, there's a lack of interest in homes in the Metaverse compared to other architectural spaces. This study aims to establish the concept of a home in the Metaverse based on meaning, typology, and characteristics of real-world homes. For this purpose, previous research and existing models of real- world homes were analyzed and case studies and a survey were conducted of homes in the Metaverse. As a result of the research, a model of home in the Metaverse is proposed based on physical, social, and personal models. Modifying one's dwelling, a refuge from the outside world, and self-expression/personalized space was also identified as the most significant characteristic of a home in the Metaverse. The results of this study will be helpful in future Metaverse virtual world research and development of Metaverse service platforms.
