The Structural Relationship among Job Stress, Human Rights Behavior, Social Support and Job Satisfaction (노인장기요양시설 종사자들의 직무스트레스와 인권옹호행동, 직무만족의 구조적 관계: 사회적 지지의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • Recently, as the number of patients with dementia using nursing homes increases, the interest about the quality of care services is increasing. Job satisfaction of caregivers is very important factor in the quality of care service. In addition, as perception of human rights is heightened, human rights behavior in nursing homes is also recognized as an important factor. The purpose of this study is to investigate the structural relationship between job satisfaction and human rights behavior, job stress, and social support of dementia workers who have significant influence on quality of care service. For this purpose, 210 questionnaires were collected from 300 dementia workers working in the elderly nursing home, day night care center, and domiciliary visit care center in Gyeonggi province. After excluding 13 questionnaires, the questionnaires were analysed by AMOS and SPSS 21.0. The results of the analysis are following. It was found that job stress significantly affects the social support directly (-.276). Also, social support significantly affects job satisfaction (.315). On the other hand, human rights advocacy has a direct effect on job satisfaction (.175) and an indirect effect (.102), showed a total effect of (.277). This shows that social support partially mediates human rights advocacy and job satisfaction. Job stress had a direct effect on job satisfaction(-.217) and an indirect effect(-.095), indicating a total effect of (-.312), and social support partially mediated job stress and job satisfaction Could know. The results of this study suggest that in order to improve the job satisfaction of the dementia workers, it is necessary to increase the human rights advocacy behavior and reduce the job stress in an environment that recognizes the social support.

  • A purpose of this study is to examine the effects of job embeddedness on job satisfaction and turnover intention of construction IT worker and to verify the effects of job satisfaction as intervening variable on turnover intention. To achieve the purpose of this study, field survey was performed. To summarize the results of this study is as follows. First, if job embeddedness of construction IT worker (fit, links, sacrifice) in a workplace is high, turnover intention will be low; the result shows that there is a relation in relation level 0.00. Second, if job embeddedness of construction IT worker (fit, links, sacrifice) in a workplace is high, job satisfaction will be high it was excluded in working period links as there was no relation, but there was a statistical relation in service links, fit, and sacrifice for an organization. Third, if job satisfaction of construction IT worker in a workplace is high, turnover intention will be low this hypothesis can be adopted as there was a statistical relation. Fourth, job satisfaction works on the effect of job embeddedness (fit, links, sacrifice) on turnover intention as intervening variable.

  • Today, the importance of social capital is emphasized in modern industry as the third capital. Social capital involves "trust and norms for members" and "social network" related to effective human resource management, which is being investigated actively by many researchers. However, It is difficult to see the report on the social capital of private security industry employees. So, this report suggests effective management practices of employees through the empirical analysis on the relationship between social capital and job satisfaction with a focus on the role of mediation for job characteristics. For the most, this research through analysis on relationship between social capital and job satisfaction shows that of the components of social capital, trust and networks influence effect on job satisfaction significantly. Secondly, as result of analysis on role of mediation for job satisfaction, importance of job involved in job characteristics has an effect of mediation. This result of empirical analysis menas that the pressure of private security industry employees is reduced and cooperation which is based on social capital is need through members' trust and social network. Therefore, the strategy of management about private security industry employees should be considered for both activation of social capital and maintenance.

A Study of the Determinants of Distributors' Stress and Organizational Effectiveness in a Global Distribution Industry (글로벌 유통업 종사자의 스트레스 및 조직유효성의 결정요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study examined the determinants of distributor stress and organizational effectiveness in a global distribution industry. This study suggested distributors' role factors and mindfulness as the key determinants of their stress and organizational effectiveness. Employees' role factors were classified into three factors: role ambiguity, role conflict, and role overload. Organizational effectiveness was classified into three factors: job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and turnover intention. Data were collected from 202 distributors in a global distribution industry. Results indicated that role conflict and role overload were significantly, positively related to distributors' stress, and that role ambiguity and mindfulness were negatively related to their stress. Results also indicated that role ambiguity was negatively related to job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and that role conflict and role overload were positively related to turnover intention. Finally, role overload was positively related to job satisfaction and organizational commitment and mindfulness was positively related to job satisfaction.

  • This study is the empirical analysis of the effects of GWP organization culture on need for achievement, job satisfaction, and job performance. For this analysis, among the major companies that have been selected as good corporates to work (GWP), the survey was conducted by targeting the employees in manufacturing/service/finance industries and the comparison analysis is on the relationship between the effects and variables of the GWP organization culture are effected the professionals in the industries. As for the results of the studies, firstly, in manufacturing industry, GWP organization culture has significant impacts on need for achievement(+) and job satisfaction(+) and does not have significant effects on job performance. Also, need for achievement has significant effects on job satisfaction(+) and job performance(+) and job satisfaction has significant effects on job performance(+). Secondly, GWP organization culture in service industry has significant effects on need for achievement(+) and job satisfaction(+) but does not have significant effects on job performance. Need for achievement has significant effects on job satisfaction(+) but does not have significant effects on job performance and job satisfaction does not have significant effects on job performance. Lastly, GWP organization culture in finance industry has significant effects on need for achievement(+), job satisfaction(+), and job performance(-) and need for achievement has significant effects on job satisfaction(+) and job performance(+) and job satisfaction has significant effects on job performance(+). Based on the results of the analysis, this study suggests the meanings and implications on the similarities and differences on how GWP organization culture affects employees in different industries.

Study of Correlations Resilience of the Beauty Industry Employees and Job Satisfaction and Happiness Index (미용종사자의 회복탄력성과 행복지수 및 직무만족도의 상관관계연구)

  • The beauty industry relies heavier upon the specialized labor of beauty industry employees than any other industry. Beauty industry employees directly meet their clients and are required to provide services with extremely delicate care. The sense of happiness of employees working at the interface of service provision matters most importantly for beauty industry growth. In this study, the correlation among beauty industry employees' resilience, happiness index and job satisfaction was tested under hypotheses. As a result, their resilience was found to have a significant effect on happiness index and job satisfaction; happiness index, on job satisfaction and resilience; and job satisfaction, on resilience and happiness index. Consequentially, it was found that when individual happiness increased, their job satisfaction moved up along with job performance. In this sense, for the further development of beauty industry, it is deemed necessary to consider methods to improve the sense of happiness of beauty industry employees.

  • This study is intended to identify the relationship between antecedents and performance factors that affect the knowledge-sharing of financial professionals. In order to accomplish the objective, antecedents were established as 'disposition to trust', 'subjective norm', and 'knowledge-sharing willingness' in the personal aspect, and 'trust in peers' and 'management support' in the organizational aspect. As performance factors, 'job satisfaction' and 'firm innovation' were established, and a research model was presented. Empirical analysis was done on the research model using collected questionnaires from 185 financial professionals. The research findings are as follows. First, disposition to trust of financial professionals has a positive effect on their knowledge-sharing. Second, trust in peers and management support have a positive effect on their knowledge-sharing. Among the antecedents, trust in peers has the strongest effect on their knowledge-sharing. Third, knowledge-sharing of financial professionals has a positive effect on their job satisfaction and firm innovation.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of internal marketing factors on organizational commitment and emotional labor in the elderly Care Worker. The data are collected through structured questionnaires. The Subjects of the final analysis is 191 persons working in the elderly care facilities in Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk provinces. Hypothesis testing of the research model is performed using AMOS 18.0. The main results of this study are as follows. Internal marketing factors influenced only internal communication and management support for job satisfaction, internal support for managerial support for emotional labor, internal communication and management support for organizational commitment. The results of this study suggest that in order to enhance the organizational commitment of long-term care workers, it is important not to strengthen internal marketing capacity but to increase job performance first, and secondly, to improve job performance, It is necessary to establish a more diversified research on the variables of service quality of job satisfaction and emotional labor.

  • Patients with dementia are increasing steadily and becoming a social problem. Care workers in hospitals are increasingly interested in emotional labor. Therefore, this study examines the caregiving experience of dementia patients in the nursing home. The effects of emotional labor and exhaustion of nursing home workers on job stress and satisfaction were analyzed and the moderating effect of care experience was analyzed. The results of the study are as follows. First, the caregiver experience of the nursing hospital workers showed the initial mind, the perception of the early dementia patients, the difficulties, the physical and mental limitations, the satisfaction, the experience through nursing practice, and the change of mind about life. Second, emotional labor and burnout have positive effects on job stress. Care experience reduced the impact of emotional labor and exhaustion on job stress. Finally, the relationship between job stress and job satisfaction showed positive influence.

Study on the Food Service Industry Employees of Job Satisfaction and Quality of Service according to the Empowerment in Effect (외식기업 임파워먼트에 따른 직무만족 및 서비스품질에 미치는 영향)

  • This study analyzes how service quality is affected by individual empowerment and job satisfaction of food service industry employees. Based on preceding research, the independent variables used in this study focus on the matter of empowerment--specifically, 'autonomy', 'meaningfulness', 'respect', and 'capability'. The dependent variables are 'job satisfaction' and 'quality of service'. Based on data obtained through this study, a tentative theory is proposed: food service industry employee job satisfaction positively affects quality of service. In particular, 'autonomy' and 'meaningfulness' positively correlate with job satisfaction. However, 'respect' and 'capability' do not seem to influence job satisfaction. On the matter of 'empowerment', a tentative theory is also proposed: employee empowerment in the food service industry positively affects quality of service, with 'autonomy'(b=.257) the most significant influence, 'meaningfulness'(b=.221) the second, and 'respect'(b=.214) the third. 'Capability'(b=-.172) exhibited no correlation with quality of service. The essential finding of this study is as follows: employees' job satisfaction in the restaurant franchise domain positively affects quality of service.
