  • Most of researchers and business futurists agree that traditional organizational designs are inadequate for coping with today's turbulent and increasingly networked world. Executives in small firms find that their organizations must tap into an extended network of partners to achieve the scale and power needed to succeed in industries dominated by large, global firms. As they attempt to build lean yet agile businesses, these executives are finding that they no longer rely on gut instinct alone. Neither can they simply copy organizational model that worked in the past. They must understand how organizational design choices influence operational efficiency and flexibility and, even more important, how to best align the organization with the environment and the strategy chosen to quickly and effectively sense and respond to opportunities and threats This research examines the capabilities required to build businesses that can survive and prosper in today's fast-faced and uncertain environment. The insights presented in this research have emerged from over 30 years of work with hundreds of executives and entrepreneurs as they struggled to build businesses that could cope with the demands of a rapidly changing, networked global economy. The insights from this research suggest that IT is an important enabler for developing the best capabilities required for success.

  • Unlike previous studies that have looked at ESG management and ESG performance from a consumer perspective, this study aims to examine the relationship between attitudes toward ESG and ESG performance perception from the perspective of internal customers who are members of the organization. To this end, the impact of internal members' perceptions of the importance of each ESG area on the organization's ESG management necessity and performance perception was summarized into three research questions and the impact was identified using a structural equation model. As a result of the study, internal customers highly recognized the organization's ESG management needs when they recognized the E (environmental) and G (governance) areas as important, but there was no significant relationship with the ESG management needs in the S (social) area (Research Question 1). In addition, the relationship between the perception of importance in each ESG area and the organization's ESG management needs was found to be little different depending on internal customers' interest in ESG, the degree of ESG knowledge, and age (Research Question 2). Finally, it was found that internal customers who highly perceive the organization's ESG management needs were also positively aware of the organization's ESG performance level.

Zinc-enriched (ZEN) Terminals in Onuf's Nucleus Innervating External Urethral Sphincter: HRP Tracing Method and Zinc Selenium Autometallography (바깥요도조임근을 지배하는 Onuf 핵에서 관찰된 Zinc 함유 신경종말: HRP 추적법 및 zinc selenium 조직화학법)

  • Onuf's nucleus, which is located in the ventral horn, has been known to innervate the striated muscles of the urethral and anal sphincter muscles via the pudendal nerve Onuf's nuclei are resistant to pathologic condition such as poliovirus. The reason why the motor neurons in Onuf's nucleus are less degenerated is not certain until now. The present study aims at updating the microscopical characteristics including its location the Onuf's nucleus innervating the external urethral sphincter, and ultrastructures of the zinc-enriched (ZEN) terminals synaptically-contacting with Onuf's motor neurons in the rat spinal gray matter by using HRP tracing method and zinc selenium autometallography, respectively. Based on HRP tracing method, Onuf's nuclei were located adjacent lateral dendritic projections of the ventral horn. Their shape was almost round at lumbar level, but oval at sacral segment of spinal cord. In size, their somata were smaller than that of other motor nuclei. In AMG stained sections, Onuf's nuclei were innervated by highly concentrated ZEN terminals, and contained small and middle-sized ZEN, but totally void of large ZEN terminals. AMG silver grains were confined to presynaptic ZEN terminals against dendritic elements and somata of the Onuf's motor neurons. A majority of the ZEN terminals contained flattened synaptic vesicles and made symmetrical synaptic specializations.

  • The purpose of the study was to examine the case of Regional Learning Network and present the implications for Consortium training Programs for small and middle-sized corporations in Korea. I found a following findings in Alesund regional learning network. First, companies participated regional learning network on their own initiative. Second, companies developed their innovation competency and had a chance to implement change management programs in order to cope with dynamic environment. Third, regional learning network was designed based on organization learning theory which make it possible to create, experiment and share the common knowledge for paticipating companies. Based on the these findings, implications for Consortium training Programs for small and middle-sized corporations in Korea was presented.

  • The term environmental, social and governance (ESG) was first used in the 2003 United Nations Environmental Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI). Among the three areas of ESG, environment refers to the impact of companies on the environment. Environmental factors address climate change policies and attempts to reduce emissions, waste and natural resource consumption. Social factors refer to the direction in which a company can improve the social impact of stakeholder includes employees, customers, communities, and governments involved in direct or indirect interaction with the organization itself and the company. Governance factors refer to stakeholders who make major decisions, the composition of the board of directors, their diversity and independence, and the internal policies that set limits and expectations for decision-making. Research related to ESG management is part of corporate social responsibility, sustainability, corporate or financial performance, and social responsibility investment. Through case studies and data-based empirical studies, it was confirmed that ESG management companies had positive results for most of the ESG related fields. Through literature analysis of domestic and international ESG history, introduction background, and management performance, this paper presents theoretical, practical implications by confirming that ESG's introduction and operation strategies are strong competitive strategies that directly affect corporate growth by creating attractive factors.

Effect of Infrared Low Dose Laser on Injured Sciatic Nerve of Rats (백서의 좌골신경 손상에 미치는 저출력 레이저의 효과 (IR-Laser))

  • This study examined the microscopic changes following irradiation of infrared low dose laser on injured sciatic nerves of rats. In these days, many clinicians use the low dose laser therapy in pain clinicians use the low dose laser therapy in pain clinic on various fields and dieases. But the basic mechanism and indications were not known completely. Low-dose IR(infrared) laser irradiation applied to a crushed injured sciatic nerve of rats in the right leg in bilaterally inflicted crush injury. The results were as follows 1) There are a little histological differences between laser treated group and nontreated group. 2) Low power IR-laser irradiation, when applied to the injured sciatic nerve, increased vascularization and relatively well conserved tissue organization. 3) There are little histological difference in distal muscle biopsy, but atrophic muscle fibers were seen partially. 4) We found out that more hypertrophic epineurium was present in laser-treated group.

  • This study analyzes the government-funded research institutions as players which derive inner transition based on technology, policy and market environment changes. In this study, the main case is KRICT(Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology) which tries to make post catch-up innovation in the organization. This institution has attempted to overcome the limitation such as change of technology paradigm and PBS(Project Based System) since 2000's. Responding to the needs of technology convergence and innovation by the paradigm change, KRICT has reformed organization and R&D management system prospectively. And this institution sets the goal like development of natural friendly technologies, small and medium-sized business support, and providing countermeasures of social problems. This case shows possibility of continuous innovation. There are some structural limitation like budget restriction, multiple organization structure, and biased quantitative assessment, but endogenous efforts of government -funded institutions make the new paradigm of post catch-up innovation.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the current status and challenges of the space development system in Korea following the successful launch of test vehicle, the Korean space launch vehicle II on the 30th anniversary of space development and seek an alternative to the government organizations for efficient space development future. The study investigates the space development system of leading countries such as USA, France, and Japan with keen focus on the administrative organizations and thereafter draw implications for Korea. The analysis of the existing situation in Korea focuses on governance, such as space-related government organizations, space development agency, and specialized research funding agency. As a result, this study proposes the need for full-scale discussion on building a space agency.

  • The government-supported research institutes' system seems to face a turning point as the country's innovation system, shaped in the industrialization process, now reveals its own limitations. This makes the transformation of the innovation system unavoidable. Korea began to emerge as a leader in several technological areas including semiconductor, TFT-LCD, and handset, in a few cases even outpacing advanced countries. This has changed the very nature of the problems and questions to be resolved. This study analysed the structural limitations and challenges of government-supported research institutes focused ETRI. In a nutshell, The innovation system of government-supported research institutes seems to face a situation where the new innovation environment is conflicting and competing with the legacy of the past: governance, planning, budget, personnel, evaluation system. There are needs for change and thus tries to achieve a innovation system transition and build a new vision and management system including a new mode of working for post-catchup innovation.

Gibbsite 상전이에 관한 전자빔 조사효과의 EF-TEM을 이용한 정량화

  • 전자현미경내에서 일부 무기 및 금속 시료들은 전자빔 조사에 의해 시료구조가 손상되거나 비정질화 또는 상전이 등과 같은 구조전이 현상들을 겪게 된다. 즉, 전자빔 조사에 의해 시료는 원자간 결합이 끊어져 나타나는 Knock-on damage, 시료 원자 주위의 전자들과의 상호 작용에 의해 나타나는 Ionization damage, 빔 에너지의 시료온도 상승 기여에 의한 Radiolysis damage 등의 현상들을 경험하게 된다. 이러한 현상은 전자현미경의 가속전압, 전자밀도, 시료 조건 등에 따라 그 지배기구가 다르며 동일한 시편이라도 시료의 두께와 시편온도를 결정하는 전자빔 조사선량에 따라 그 양상과 전이 속도가 달라진다. 본 연구에서는 전자빔 조사에 의해 구조 전이를 겪게 되는 대표적 무기수화물의 하나인 Cibbsite에 대해 전자빔 조사효과에 대한 정량적 고찰을 에너지 여과 투과전자현미경 (EF-TEM)을 이용하여 시도하였다. 전자빔 조사는 120분까지 실시하였고 각 시간별로 에너지 필터와 Imaging plate를 이용하여 Gibbsite의 회절패턴과 미세조직 변화를 기록하였다 빔조사 시엔 illumination angle을 1.25mrad(Dose rate : 334 × 10³ e/sup -//sec·n㎡)으로 하였으며 사진기록 시엔 최소 illumination angle인 0.04mrad(Dose rate : 413 e/sup -//sec·n㎡)을 사용하였다. 시료의 관찰방향은 [001]방향이고 관찰시료두께는 약 50nm로 평가되었으며 시료의 화학변화는 EDS를 이용하여 분석하였다. 회절자료의 Intensity는 ELD/CRISP 프로그램을 이용하였으며 빔조사선량은 평행조사빔이 시료와 상호 작용하는 면적과 상호작용하지 않을 때의 빔을 회절모드에서 faraday cup으로 측정한 빔전류로 부터 계산하였다. Gibbsite에 대한 전자빔 조사 시 1분 이내에 급격한 Hydroxyl Ion(OH-)의 이탈로 인해 Cibbsite의 구조는 거시적 비정질화가 되며 시간증가에 따라 χ-alumina → ν-alumina → σ-alumina or δ-alumina의 순으로 상전이를 겪는다. 전자빔 조사 시 관찰된 회절자료의 가시적 변화를 통해 illumination angle 1.25mrad(Dose rate : 334 × 10³ e/sup -//sec·n㎡)일 경우 약 3초 이내에 비정질화가 시작됨을 알 수 있었고 이는 약 1 × 10/sup 6/ e/sup -//sec·n㎡ 의 전자선량에 해당되며 이를 기준으로 각각의 illumination angle에 대한 임계전자선량을 평가할 수 있었다. 실질적으로 Cibbsite와 같은 무기수화물의 직접가열실험 시 전자빔 조사에 의해 야기되는 상전이 영향을 배제하고 실험을 수행하려면 illumination angle 0.2mrad (Dose rate : 8000 e/sup -//sec·n㎡)이하로 관찰하고 기록되어야 함을 본 자료로부터 알 수 있었다.
