The Leuconostoc paramesenteroides dominated at refrigeration temperature range was isolated from kimchi, and improved its growth properties by mutation for competitive growth against Lactobacillus plantarum at lower pH. It was found that the minimal pH for the wild type Leuconostoc paramesenteroides Pw growth was pH 4.5 adjusted with HCI and pH 5.0 adjusted with organic-mixture (lactic acid:acetic acid=1:2), respectively. The mutant P-100 could grow in pH 4.0, 4.5, respectively, in MRS broth. Two strains Pw and P-100 were added into kimchi as starter and compared the quality characteristics of kimchi. The total acceptability of Pw and P-100 inoculated kimchi were evaluated better than that of control kimchi (no starter added) by sensory test and extended the optimal pH range of kimchi up to about 2.2, 2.5 times, respectively. In kimchi added P-100, the succinic acid was more abundant than others and the total number of Lactobacillus plantarum was down about 2.5 times in contrast to control kimchi.

In this research, The new CEO is expected to increase a reporting income through earning management for individual benefit such as a good reputation, high compensation and CEO' s contract extension in the early years of service, of which may influence value relevance of the accounting numbers. We investigate the change of value relevance from 2004 to 2014, compare firms with a change of CEO and firms with non-change of CEO and analysis the value relevance in the early years and in the late years of the new CEO. The results of research are as follows. First, value relevance of EPS of firms with change of CEO are decreased, whereas value relevance of BPS are increased in the regression of all sample. Second, value relevance of EPS are decreased, whereas value relevance of BPS are increased in the early years of the new CEO. This research makes a contribution to provide the first proof about influence of value relevance by the earning management in the early years of the new CEO in Korea.

우리가 흔히 사용하고 있는 NRC는 가장 이상적인 관리상태에서 건강한 닭들을 기준으로 정해졌기 때문에 실제 상황에서는 조정적용이 필요하다. 면역계의 발달과 관련된 영양소들은 특히 신경을 써야 하는데, 탄수화물, 지방, 단백질과 같은 macro nutrient 나 비타민, 광물질, 필수아미노산과 같은 micro nutrient대부분의 영양소들은 면역 반응에 밀접한 영향을 주게된다.

The term ecosystem services refers to natural ecosystems' benefits to humans. Various models have been developed and applied to quantify ecosystem services. Habitat quality assessment is a widely used leading InVEST ecosystem service model. In Korea, habitat quality assessment is conducted for national parks. For habitat quality assessment, the initial value of habitat quality must be used to assess the sensitivity to threats, which varies depending on the country and application field. Therefore, an expert survey (AHP) was conducted based on previous habitat quality assessments in national parks to adjust the sensitivity, the initial value for the habit quality assessment. As a result of the AHP, 18 items were adjusted, including 10 items, such as natural grassland and unarranged fields, upward and 8 items, such as rivers and ponds, downward. Based on the adjusted sensitivity results, the habitat quality of Bukhansan National Park and Gyeryongsan National Park (urban type), Gyeongju National Park (historic type), Hallyeohaesang National Park (ocean type), and Jirisan National Park and Seoraksan National Park (mountain type) were adjusted. The results of the analysis showed that the habitat quality of urban dry areas and water bodies distributed in the national parks was reflected in the habitat quality assessment. In the future, it will be possible to evaluate the habitat quality of natural parks using this standard.

우리나라의 산·학·연 기술혁신시스템을 점검하고 문제에 대한 대책을 제시하였다. 대학의 문제점으로는 교수인력의 유동성부족과 비경쟁체제를 지적하였다. 출연연은 기능을 공공문제해결로 전환해야 하며, 연구원신분의 안정을 지적하였다. 산업계의 R&D 능력의 제고를 위하여, 정부의 유인책을 제시하였다. 그리고 과학기술 담당부처에서는 국가연구개발사업을 공공부문으로 전환할 것을 제안하며, 종합조정의 범위확대, 평가시스템의 투명화, 연구관리의 전문성 보강, 기술분류를 통한 연구관리 그리고 과학산업의 육성을 제안하였다. 이러한 일들이 제대로 수행되려면 공무원의 전문성이 보강되어야 함을 주장하며, 산·학·연 및 공무원의 전문성제고가 우리 경쟁력제고의 가장 중요한 방향이라고 제기하였다.

This study investigates whether earnings management behavior of chaebol firms differ from that of non-chaebol firms. The ownership structure of chaebol firms is characterized by the dominance of one largest shareholder and his family members who typically participate in the management of the firm directly or indirectly and influence most of the important management decision. This study adopts the random effect model and the hausman and talyor model, using a panel of 5092 firm-year over a period from 1991 to 2010 to control for potential heterogeneity and endogeneity that may cause sever bias. This study finds that there is no difference in accrual based earnings management level between chaebol firms and non-chaebol firms. However, chaebol firms appeared to engage less real earnings management that is known to negatively affect future earnings and share prices. The results are consistent when controlling for potential heterogeneity and endogeneity in the hausman and taylor model. The results may be of interest to various stakeholders, policy makers, standard setters and academic researchers.
