Strength and rigidity test of a small sedan body (승용차 차체의 정적 강도 및 강성시험)

  • 모든 차형을 간단한 이상형으로 가정하여 그들을 수치적인 값으로 비교할 수 있다면 승용차 차 체의 설계상 매우 큰 도움이 될 것이다. 실제로 새로운 모델의 차가 개발되었을 때에는 다음과 같은 이유 때문에 그 prototype body에 대한 정적 시험이 실시되고 있다. 1) 조기에 설계의 문제점이나 차체의 주결함을 발견할 수 있어 시간과 경비를 절약할 수 있다. 2) 계속적인 정적 시험을 통하여 구조적으로 만족할 만한 road car를 만들 수 있다. 3) 과설계를 방지하여 차체의 경량화에 기여하고, 최적설계의 개발을 위한 길을 제시해 준다. 차체에 대한 정적 시험은 위와 같은 이유 때문에 발전되어 왔으며, 정적 시험의 효과를 ㅊ대로 하기 위하여 그것은 순수한 공학적 원리에 기초를 두어 실제의 사용조건과 충분히 일치되는 시 험으로서 고안되었다. 차체구조는 그 사명의 다양성뿐만 아니라 제작, 개수에 상당한 노력과 시 간이 필요하기 때문에 조기에 문제점을 발견하여 결함을 제지하지 않으면 안된다. 구조체로서의 많은 필요조건 중에서 특히 중요시되는 것은 강도, 강성 및 내구성이다. 그 때문에 차체의 강도, 강성시험은 이론적인 해석(탄성학, 구조역학, 강도학 등)에 앞서 여러가지 방법이 개발되어 왔 으며, 여기에서는 그 중 가장 대표적인 방법인 비틀림시험(torsion test)과 굽힘시험(bending test) 에 관하여 Pony 4-door Sedan 차체의 시험 결과를 토대로 하여 기술하고자 한다.

Developments of Extremely Low Frequency Electric Field Sensor using Guided-wave Optical Modulator (광도파로형 초저주파(ELF) 전계계측 센서의 개발)

  • The use of an asymmetric Mach-Zehnder interferometric amplitude modulator to measure a relatively low frequency electric field strength is described. The sensitivity of an electric field sensor using a Ti:LiNbO$_3$ optical modulator is strongly affected by the shape of a electrode(probe antenna). To measure the low frequency electric field, a probe antenna of wide effective area is more useful than the usual dipole antenna. As a proof of this, the optical modulator was fabricated with a plate-type probe antenna and the usefulness of this antenna tested for measuring low frequency electric field strength. Measurements were performed in the range 0.1V/cm to 60V/cm at 60Hz through 100KHz. Using a probe antenna of 10mm$\times$10mm, the output voltage of 10㎷ was measured with respect to the electric field strength of 0.1V/cm at 60Hz. By increasing the effective area of the probe antenna, better sensitivity is obtainable over the measured range.

Experimental Study on the Early Strength Development Mechanism of Cement Paste Using Hardening Accelerator and High-Early-Strength Cement (경화촉진제와 조강시멘트를 사용한 시멘트 페이스트의 조기강도 발현 메커니즘에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • The purpose of study is to analyze mechanism with early high portland cement and hardening accelerator. As the result, it was concluded that hardening accelerator makes accelerates appearance of $Ca(OH)_2$ through experiment using TG-DTA when it hydrates with cement. On the result of compressive strength, as increasing the amount of hardening accelerator used, early compressive strength was improved. Also, as a result of hydration heat, hardening accelerator accelerates hydration of $C_3S$ that is cement's component. On the result of XRD's analyzation, hydration product for each age could be check and it was shown that as increasing the amount of hardening accelerator used, peak point of hydration product was recorded high. As the result of SEM, appearance of C-S-H was shown as the amount of $Ca(OH)_2$'s appearance and each age according to additive contents of hardening accelerator. Therefore hardening accelerator used on this study is effective on getting early compressive strength.

Early Strength Development of Concrete Cured with Microwave Heating Form (마이크로웨이브 발열거푸집을 적용한 콘크리트의 조기강도 발현특성)

  • Technologies for rapid concrete curing using elevated temperature are important for saving cost and time when constricting concrete structures. Recently, a microwave heating form was developed. In this study the early strength of concrete cured by the developed form was experimentally investigated. Large scale mock up tests were conducted six times, and the results were analyzed based on the maturity theory. Logarithmic correlation curves were generated based on the measured strength and estimated maturity. It was confirmed that the strength development of the concrete cured by microwave heating form can be estimated by the equivalent age theory usually applied to steam-curing technology. By using the microwave heating form, one day at most is enough to get the required strength for the safe removal of forms, even in cold weather.

  • In this study, prediction of later-age compressive strength of ultra-high strength concrete, based on the accelerated strength of concrete cured in 50, 60℃ warm water was investigated. W/B of 32, 23.5, 19% 3 levels were examined. And the specimens were cured in 50, 60℃ warm water. The results showed reliable accuracy by regression relation between 28day strength cured by standard curing method and accelerated strength of the concrete cured in warm water. And the specimens cured in 50, 60℃ showed more high strength development. So 60℃ curing could be considered in order to reduce the measurement error. As a result, the feasibility of 50, 60℃ warm water curing method at high strength level was confirmed.

  • This paper predicts premature failure load of reinforced concrete beams by epoxy-boned partially steel plates. A parametric study is conducted to estimate premature failure load of beams such as with or without stirrups, unplated length ratio, steel and reinforcement ratio, shear span to depth ratio of reinforcement beam. By results of finite element analysis, it turned out that the unplated length played a dominant role in partially plated beams but reinforcement ratio and shear span to depth ratio effected the premature failure load. The approximate expression with regard to combined design variables is compared with experimental results. It shows closely agreement.
