User's emotions expressed while using a product and user's satisfaction with the product (제품 사용 중 표출되는 사용자의 감성과 제품 만족도)

  • Due to recent interest in user experience and its significance, much research surrounding this theme is now being conducted. In this research, I investigated user experience during usage of a product and the satisfaction acquired by it, as well as the relationship between satisfaction of having used a product and whether the user would be more likely to purchase another product from the same company. The same experiment was conducted in South Korea and the United States of America in order to get more generalized experimental results. I found that amongst the six representative user emotions expressed while using a product, two of them correlated the most. First, 'Satisfaction in Usability' (the emotions aroused by satisfaction with usage or the practicality of the product); and second, 'Discomfort or Displeasure' (uncomfortable or unpleasant emotions expressed while using a product. The above two factors were found to be of the most influence concerning satisfaction of the product. Also 'Satisfaction in Usability' was found to be of the most influence in their preferability towards purchasing an item from the same company in the future. The significance of this finding is that aside from focussing on the attractiveness of the product's exteriors and design, one should be concerned on the ease of usage and effectiveness as well as usability of the product, all of which contribute to how efficiently a consumer will utilize the product. Furthermore, in agreement with previous research concerning the correlation between satisfaction of a product and positive perspective on consecutive purchases, the result of this study shows that the more satisfaction consumers feel after using a product, the more likely they are to purchase additional merchandises from the same company which manufactured the original product.

  • 사용자-제품 상호작용(User-product interaction)의 관점에서 사용자의 만족도는 제품의 사용편의성(Usability)과 감성품질에 의해서 결정된다. 특히, 물리적으로 사용자와 제품의 기능을 연결하는 PUI(Physical User Interface)의 감성품질은 시각뿐 아니라 촉감, 동작감, 청감 등의 사용자의 다양한 감성의 조합으로 이루어져 있다. 문헌조사에 의하면, 사용자의 감성 만족도를 향상시키기 위한 제품의 시각적 감성품질에 관련된 연구는 활발하게 진행되고 있으나, 촉감, 동작감, 청감 등의 감성품질에 관련된 연구는 상대적으로 미흡한 실정이다. 이러한 관점에서 제품의 전체적인 감성품질을 평가하기 위해서는 제품과 사용자가 상호작용하는 PUI의 전반에 대한 사용자 만족도(User Satisfaction)의 정량적인 평가가 필수적이며, PUI의 감성품질을 구성하는 시각에 대한 고려뿐만 아니라, 예를 들어 조작장치를 잡는 느낌, 조작장치가 움직일 때의 동작감, 조작장치 작동 시의 청감 등 사용자와 조작장치 간에 일어나는 상호작용 전반에 관한 연구가 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구에서는 PUI의 구성요소 중 동적인 조작장치의 촉감, 동작감, 청감에 대하여 문헌 조사를 통해 조작 장치의 감성을 구성하는 요소들을 체계적으로 파악하였고, 감성의 요소를 중복 설명하지 않는 상호독립적인 의미를 가진 감성 형용사를 수집하고 분류한 후, 추출한 형용사를 기초로 설문지를 작성하였으며, 사용자들의 설문을 통하여 자료를 수집하였다. 구조방정식 기법을 사용하여, 조작장치의 전체적인 사용자 만족도와 촉감, 동작감, 청감 간의 상관관계 모형을 수립하였다. 또한 구조방정식의 결과를 바탕으로 인간공학 전문가와 제품설계 전문가로 이루어진 FGI(Focus Group Interview)를 실시하여 잡는 느낌, 동작감, 청감과 관련된 조작장치의 적절한 설계 변수를 결정한 후 설계값을 측정하였으며 감성 만족도와 측정치 간의 상관관계를 분석하여 감성품질 요소의 정량화를 수행하였다. 본 연구결과는 실제 산업현장에서 제품개발자들이 사용자 만족도에 영향을 미치는 제품 설계요소들의 상대적인 중요도를 평가하고, 감성품질을 결정하는 설계특성값을 구체적으로 파악하는데 실질적인 도움을 줄 것으로 기대된다.

An Empirical on the Re-purchase Intention and Product Satisfaction for American Image (미국 국가이미지에 따른 제품만족도와 구매의도에 관한 실증분석)

  • America is traditionally friendly to South Korea. Last year in 2008, U.S. exports to South Korea totaled $32.4 billion. The U.S. and Korean must reciprocate economic exchange. The purpose of this study to measure the re-purchase intentions and product satisfaction in America image. The major result of article can be summarized as follows. The factors of this article have been divided into 'society safety', 'industrialization level', 'economic image', 'political image', 'cultural image', and 'the character of a nation'. In the empirical result of the article, the goods satisfaction for America country image would be shown in the results. The first, 'society safety', 'industrialization level', 'the character of a nation' are significantly positive statistically to goods satisfaction. The second, 'economic image', 'political image', 'cultural image' are not as significantly positive statistically speaking.

Factors Influencing the Consumer Attitude toward Product Purchasing Related to Chinese Personal Internet Broadcasting Wang Hong (인터넷 개인 방송 왕홍을 통한 제품 구매와 관련된 중국 소비자 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인)

  • This study investigates Chinese consumers who have recently purchased products through internet personal broadcasting of Wang Hong and explores how factors related to Wang Hong, broadcasting contents, and products affect purchasing satisfaction of consumers. The present study also examines whether this satisfaction affects the consumer loyalty to the shopping through the Wang Hong in the future. The results indicated that consumers' perception of the informational level rather than entertainment level of broadcasting contents had significant effects on the product satisfaction. The perceived uniqueness and credibility of Wang Hong were found to have positive impacts. In terms of products, the more consumers perceived the product to fit their images or values, and the higher the fit between the images of Wang Hong and the endorsed product, the higher the satisfaction with the product. Product satisfaction increased the customer loyalty, including the intention of repurchasing products endorsed by the Wang Hong.

A Study on Customer's Satisfaction of Convergence Products (컨버전스 제품의 소비자 만족도에 관한 연구)

  • This study set out to analyze the impacts of convergence products(cell phones, PDAs, IPTV, and portable game consoles) on the consumers' purchase intention and satisfaction. These results of the research model show that usefulness, perceived risk, and communication had significant influences on purchase intention, and usefulness, innovation, perceived risk, and communication on satisfaction. But there were differences according to the product kinds. The results indicate that usefulness, convenience, perceived risk, and communication are the major factors affecting the satisfaction and purchase intention of convergence products and that innovation didn't have much influence on them. And there were small differences among the influential factors according to the kinds of convergence products.

  • 본 연구에서는 가전제품 서비스 엔지니어의 직무만족도가 계속근무의사에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 지를 조사 분석하였다. 또한 직무만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인이 무엇인지를 조사 분석하였다. 그 결과 엔지니어 개인적 특성에 있어서는 성격이 직무만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 파악되었으며, 조직적 특성에 있어서는 사회적 지지와 급여 및 복리후생이 영향을 미치는 요인으로 분석되었다. 직무 자체의 특성에 있어서는 업무 적정성이 직무만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 파악되었다. 또한 이러한 직무만족도는 계속근무의사에 의미있는 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사 분석되었다.

Service Failure, Service Recovery Activity and Satisfaction with Online Shopping Channel of Apparel Products (온라인 의류쇼핑에서 서비스 실패 경험 후 쇼핑채널의 회복노력에 따른 채널만족도)

  • Unexpected consumer dissatisfaction emerges through rapid growth and expansion of on-line shopping channel. This research focused on the fashion online retail channels' negative aspect caused by service failure which possibly disappointed consumers. We also tried to seek for appropriate service recovery types based on frequently offered recovery types on-line. Data from college students were analyzed. Results indicate that fitting problem, insufficient information, product defect, inventory problem and slow delivery were the main service failure types in apparel e-shopping. Regression analysis identified that among these types, insufficient information, product defect, and slow delivery had significant influence on channel satisfaction after post recovery effort. Results also confirmed significant relationships between channel satisfaction and channel switching. Consumers perceived benefit level causes overall channel satisfaction level to rise while perceived risk leads to lower level of channel satisfaction. Choosing desirable service recovery activities in each service failure situations is necessary in order to raise consumer's channel satisfaction in online apparel shopping.

Adolescents' Purchasing Behavior for Hair-care Products (청소년의 헤어제품 구매 행동에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigates the relationship between the purchasing behavior for hair-care products and the attitude toward hair-care products by adolescents. A total of 412 middle and high school students located in Seoul and Gyunggi-do province participated in this research. SPSS 12.0 for Windows Program was utilized for statistical analysis. As a result, the hair concerns and the satisfaction of adolescents as well as their attitudes towards hair-care products were significantly affected by gender, school level, and educational experiences. Female high school students with some degree of educational experiences had a more rational and brand-oriented attitude. Students having a higher rational and brand-oriented attitude bought hair-care products in regards to the quality of the product and environmental impact. On the other hand, those having a conspicuous and fashion pursuit attitude showed an image and fashion concern purchasing behavior. Adolescents usually purchased styling and dyeing products at a cosmetic specialty store and hair-care cleaning products from a discount store. They obtained the information about hair-care products from relatives, personal experiences, and TV advertisements.

A Case Study of 'Smart Farm' Model Product Manufacturing and Recognition of Model Manufacturing Lesson Based on IoT(Internet of Things) by Pre-service Technology Teachers (예비기술교사를 대상으로 한 사물인터넷 기반의 모형 제작 수업에 대한 인식 및 '스마트 농장' 제작 사례 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the satisfaction of the manufacturing process and the satisfaction of manufacturing lesson in the lesson of model product manufacturing based on IoT(Internet of Things) for pre-service technology teachers. and we also analyzed 'smart farm' model production manufacturing among various products. The survey questionnaires with 8 questions to investigate satisfaction level of model manufacturing process, difficulties in manufacturing, and the satisfaction level of manufacturing lesson were collected from the 15 pre-service technology teachers and analyzed by using SPSS program. and The results of this study were as follows: First, the lesson satisfaction average level of pre-service technology teachers was high(M=4.22) in model product manufacturing process for the 'smart farm' model making based on the IoT. Second, the average satisfaction level of 'patent search and prior art search report writing education' was as high as 4.07. Therefore, the application of 'prior art search report writing education' showed that it helped to make the product. Third, the best high satisfaction level in the model production manufacturing procedure was 'education of inventive thinking method'(M=4.40). Therefore, the pre-service technology teachers showed that the 'education of inventive thinking methods' was very helpful from the idea design to the optimal selection of idea. The next order of satisfaction level was high(M=4.33) in 'design education and counseling' and 'guidance through selection of professor who guide the production manufacturing in addition to professors who are in charge of lesson'. Because they were helpful in solving the lack of knowledge of pre-service technology teachers. Fourth, satisfaction level with 'the presentation of model making results and exhibitions', 'presentations and participations of external event' was high (M = 4.13). Although the results of interviews with pre-service technology teachers showed that they suffered from lack of knowledge in various technologies, but it was an opportunity to learn things and felt a sense of accomplishment.

  • The purpose of this thesis is to analyze and test hypotheses that the internet shopping customer's satisfaction would be differences between customer's lifestyle and a type of buying product characteristics. In addition, this study tested differences between lifestyle groups and product type in terms of customer's transaction continuity. In result, we find that there are significant differences of customer's satisfaction and customer's continuity in terms of the lifestyle, but not in the product types. This study provide useful informations on market segmentation strategy to the firms which had been doing on-line shopping and will help them minimize the possible risks when firms enter into internet shopping market.
