Damping Property Measurement of Damping Alloy by Dynamic Strain Gage (Dynamic Strain Gage를 이용한 제진합금의 제진특성 측정)

  • New damping measurement equipment was designed using the dynamic strain gage and high speed analog to digital signal 12 bit converter and compared it with existing equipment. The damping properties of general material and high damping material were also studied by this machine. The SDC (specific damping capacity) was measured with various heat treatment condition, initial vibration amplitude and internal stress. The vibration amplitude of high damping material is decreased within nearly less than 0.4 second after applying the initial forced vibration. But that of general material is still vibrating at the same time. After furnace-cooling heat treatment, SDCmax of Fe-lGwt.%Cr system was more than 40% and that of Fe-5.5wt.%Al alloy was more than 30% after air-cooling heat treatment. Upon increasing of initial vibration amplitude, it is detected the migration of SDCmax into the region of small vibraton amplitude. Damping capacity is decreased rapidly as the internal stress Increases. Damping measurement equipment in the present study was ahln to give the more accurate results of damping properties in the small vibration amplitude region.

  • 본 논문에서는 2개의 구조물이 마찰댐퍼로 연결된 연결제진구조물에 대한 지진응답해석을 실시하였다. 연결제진구조물의 지진시의 제진효과를 파악하기 위하여 마찰댐퍼의 복원력특성을 완전탄소성형으로 설정하고 두 구조물의 고유주기 및 연결강성의 변화에 따른 각 지진파별 시간이력지진응답해석을 실시하였다. 또한, 응답해석결과를 바탕으로 마찰댐퍼의 특성지표(연결강성배율 $\alpha$, 항복내력비 $\beta$)를 결정하는 제진성능곡선을 제안하였다. 제진성능곡선을 통한 마찰댐퍼의 특성지표에 근거하여 연결제진구조물에 마찰댐퍼를 효율적으로 사용할 수 있는 최적의 마찰댐퍼량을 결정 할 수 있는 자료를 제시하였다.

  • Carbon and small amounts of alloying elements were added in Fe-5.7% Al ferromagnetic damping alloy. The specific damping capacities(SDC) of these alloys were investigated in relation to the grain size and the magnetic hysteresis loops. The behavior of carbon was analysed by XRD and EDS. These alloys showed characteristic damping nature of ferromagnetic damping materials. The alloying elements decreased SDC and especially the carbon was remarkable. The SDC was observed to be not related with the grain size but with the magnetic hysteresis loop area. The remarkable decrease of SDC by carbon addition was attributed to the locking migration of $90^{\circ}$ magnetic domain wall by the interstitial carbon in Fe-Al solid solution. However, the carbides also seems to decrease the SDC.

  • 본 연구는 각종 제진재료를 이용하여 진동을 억제할 수 있는 콘크리트를 개발하여 각종 건설공사에서 흔히 발생할 수 있는 진동공해문제를 억제하고자 하며 아울러 폐기물의 재활용차원에서 폐자재를 이용하여 유용한 제진콘크리트를 개발하고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 우선, 제진재료를 이용한 압축강도 (200kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$)이상의 콘크리트 배합비를 찾기 위하여 24배치의 예비실험을 수행하였으며, 선정된 적정배합비에 따른 제진재료를 이용한9개의 진동시험체보를 제작하여 보의 구조적 및 재료적 동적특성 즉 1차 공명진동수와 동적 휨강성 및 감쇠비를 측정하여 제진효과를 조사하였다. 그리고 압축강도에 의한 각 시험체의 균열모멘트를 추정하여 재하하중과 균열모멘트비(M/Mcr)에 따른 하중단계별 동적특성값을 살펴보았다. 제진재료로서는 라텍스(Latex), 고무분말(Rubber Powder)그리고 플라스틱 레진( Plastic Resin)등을 사용하였고, 재료적, 구조적 진동감쇠효과를 파악하고자 KS F2437규정과 진동파의 속도법을 사용하였으며, 감쇠비 측정은 Frequency Spectrum 곡선에 대한 Polynomial Curvefitting 방법과 기하학적 해석방법을 이용하여 각각의 결과를 비교.분석하였다.

  • Fe-5.7%AI-1.1%Cr-0.5%Si damping alloys containing 0%C and 0.12%C were heat-treated at $800^{\circ}C$ for an hour and then cooled by using some different methods. The damping behaviors of these alloys were observed by optical microscopy, X-ray diffraction and a specific damping capacity(SDC) test. Effect of cooling method on microstructures and the internal stresses of these alloys were negligible while the damping capacity of these alloys was considerably deteriorated by water quenching. The (200) texture was mainly developed by water quenching while the (110) texture by furnace cooling. These results were interpreted by the magnetization behaviors of the ferromagnetic $\alpha$ ferrite. The easy axis of magnetization in <100> direction means that <100> axis has more $180^{\circ}$ magnetic domain walls than $90^{\circ}$ ones. Thus. $180^{\circ}$ magnetic domain walls were more formed by water quenching, which deteriorated the damping capacity of these alloys. Consequently, the amount of magnetic domain walls giving good damping capacity became less so that the damping capacity was poor in water quenching.

  • This paper describes that the characteristic of movement and the performance of the directional system of the liquid magnetic compass analyze and investigate in the kinds of compass and the coefficient of viscosity of the liquid of compass, which the horizontal magnetic field of the geo-magnetic is varied from the equator to the polar region (0.39 gauss-0.03 gauss) by use of apparatus generating artificial magnetic fields. The results are as follows; 1. It is confirmed that the measured values and the calculated values on the characteristic of damping curve by the type of compass and coefficient of viscosity has almost agree with one another. 2. As the horizontal magnetic force geo-magnetic field approaches around the equator (0.39 gauss), the horizontal magnetic field get near the polar region (0.03 gauss), its period is to be longer and the compass card prove not to be more stabilized. 3. The coefficient of viscosity of the liquid in the A, B, C, D and E compasses used in the experiment is estimated 0.03 poises, 0.02 poises, 0.02 poises, 0.015 poises and 0.048 poises respectively by computer simulation.

  • An experiment was carried out to evaluate energy dissipation capacity and velocity dependent characteristics of the viscous damper. From the experiment, it was found that the viscous damper showed velocity dependent characteristics and excellent energy dissipation capacity.

  • 본 연구에서는 준능동형 제진장치로 복합형 제진장치(HMD, Hybrid Mass Damper)의 운용에 요구되는 제어알고리즘 개발에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 제어력을 산정하기 위한 알고리즘 내장화 과정에서 구조물의 상태를 피드백하기 위해서는 구조물의 가속도를 계측하고 이로부터 변위, 속도를 추정하게 되는데 여기서 발생하는 오차의 문제점을 개선하기 위하여 GPS의 실시간 변위측정기술을 활용하여 변위를 직접 입력하면서 구조물의 응답을 제어할 수 있는 알고리즘을 구성하려 한다. 이 때 측정된 데이터의 값에는 잡음이 발생하고 미분기의 동적특성을 가지고 있는 HMD에 입력신호로 사용하는 경우 상당한 오차가 생기는 변위 되먹임(Feedback)의 문제점을 확인하였다. 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 제진장치 입력신호의 시간간격(Time-interval)을 조정하여 오차를 줄일 수 있는 방안을 제안하였다. 수치해석결과, 입력신호에는 최적의 시간간격(Time-Interval)이 존재하였으며 이를 적용할 경우 건물의 변위와 가속도 응답을 크게 줄일 수 있음을 확인하였다.
