The present invention relates to a absorption rotor for removed VOC(volatile organic compound) and humidity in semiconductor clean room system. A absorption rotor medium is made by NaX zeolite and TS-1 zeolite formed on a honeycomb matrix of ceramic papers. The crystallization of NaX zeolite was hydrothermal reaction, and NaX zeolite crystals of a uniform particle size of 5$\mu$m were synthesized that NaX zeolite seed crystals (2~3$\mu$m) added in a batch composition at levels of 3~15 wt$\%$. The seeding resulted in an increase in the fraction of large crystals compared with unseeded batches and successfully led to a uniform NaX zeolite crystal. The microporous zeolite-type titanosilicate(TS-1) was synthesized by different of the reactant solution pH. The pH range of reactant solution has been changed from 10.0 to 11.5 TS-1 zeolite (ETS-10), having a large pore(8~10 $\AA$), was synthesized at 10.4 of pH, since TS-1 zeolite (ETS-4), having a small pore(3~5$\AA$), was synthesized at 11.5 of pH.
In the present study, water vapor adsorption was evaluated at 298.15K for 9 different zeolites having LTA, FAU, CHA, and RHO frameworks, and then effect of framework type, Si/Al molar ratio, and alkali ion type on water up-take was investigated. Zeolites showed water up-takes which were increased in an order of $RHO<CHA{\approx}LTA<FAU$ frameworks. NaY zeolite having FAU framework showed a water up-take of 406 mg/g at p/po=0.5. The up-take was a little larger than that of 13X zeolite with the same framework. Among LTA zeolites, Ca-type 5A zeolite showed the highest water adsorption (282 mg/g at p/po=0.5) which could be explained by the large pore volume. Both CHA zeolite with a Si/Al molar ratio of 2.35 and RHO zeolite with a Si/Al molar ratio of 3.56 showed considerable water up-takes, even though the Si/Al molar ratio was much larger than that of LTA zeolite. In the present study, it is announced that in addition to FAU and LTA zeolites, CHA and RHO zeolites can be a promising dehumidification adsorbent.
Zeolite was synthesized hydrothermally using the water-treatment sludge, and the effects of various synthesis parameters like reaction temperature, reaction time, and Na2O/SiO2 molar ratio on the crystallization of zeolite were investigated. Crystal structure, physical property, and thermal stability of zeolite crystals were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, FTIR spectroscopy, BET nitrogen adsorption, and TGA measurements. The removal efficiencies of nitrogen in ammonia, heavy metal ions, and TOC were calculated to evaluate zeolite's adsorption capacity. The primary chemical composition of water-treatment sludge was 28.79% Al2O3 and 27.06% SiO2. The zeolites were synthesized by merely employing the water-treatment sludge as silica and alumina sources without additional chemicals. Zeolite crystals synthesized through the water-treatment sludge were confirmed as an A-type zeolite structure. Zeolite A had the highest crystallinity obtained from a gel with the molar composition 2.1Na2O-Al2O3-1.6SiO2-65H2O after 5 h at a temperature of 90 ℃. The specific surface area of zeolite obtained was 55 ㎡ g-1, which was higher than commercial zeolite A. The removal efficiency of nitrogen in ammonia was 68% after 3 h of reaction time, while the removal efficiencies of Pb2+ and Cd2+ ions were 99.1% and 99.3%, respectively. These results indicate active ion exchange between Pb2+ or Cd2+ ion and Na+ ion in the zeolite framework. The adsorption experiments on the different zeolite addition conditions were performed for 3 h with 300 ppm humic acid. Based on the results, TOC's highest efficiency was 83% when 5 g of zeolite was added.

The $NH_3$-selective catalytic reduction (SCR) reaction of NO with excess of oxygen were systematically investigated over Cu-zeolite and Fe-zeolite catalysts. Cu-zeolite and Fe-zeolite catatysts to adapt the SCR technology for mobile diesel engines were prepared by liquid ion exchange and incipient wetness impregnation of $NH_4$-BEA and $NH_4$-ZSM-5 zeolites. The catalysts were characterized by BET, XRD, FE-TEM (field emission transmission electron microscopy) and SEM/EDS. The SCR examinations performed under stationary conditions showed that the Cu-exchanged BEA catalyst revealed pronounced performance at low temperatures of $200{\sim}250^{\circ}C$. With respect to the Fe-zeolite catalyst, the Cu-zeolite catalyst showed a higher activity in the SCR reaction at low temperatures below $250^{\circ}C$. BEA zeolite based catalyst exhibited good activity in comparison with ZSM-5 zeolite based catalyst at low temperatures below $250^{\circ}C$.

The zeolite crystals were synthesized by hydrogel process into the pore of activated carbon. The effect of activated carbon in the course of the crystallization of zeolite was investigated. The phenomena of impregnation of zeolite crystals into the pore of the activated carbon were also examined. The results show that in case of the addition of 5% of activated carbon to the aluminosilicate gel including the mole composition of zeolite A, zeolite A was purely synthesized without the existence of other type of zeolite. However, in case of the addition of 20% of activated carbon, zeolite X was purely synthesized. In the pore mouth and internal of activated carbon, zeolite crystals having the size under $1{\mu}m$ was observed. From the results of the pore size and particle size distributions, it was confirmed that the synthetic sample was the composite material impregnated by the zeolite crystals into the pore of activated carbon, not the simple mixture of zeolite and activated carbon.

Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology using reusable energy is a plausible process to capture $CO_2$ from non-point sources. In this paper, adsorption and desorption were repeatedly tested using low concentration $CO_2$. Three types of adsorbents were examined in cyclic $CO_2$ adsorption and thermal regeneration. Adsorption capacities of zeolite 5A, zeolite 13X and activated carbon were 21 mg/g, 12 mg/g and 6 mg/g, respectively. Zeolite 5A shows the highest adsorption capacities after cyclic thermal regeneration.

This study assessed the use of zeolite with high absorption performance in landscape paving concrete as a substitute for aggregate. The absorption performance and strength properties of paving concrete were investigated according to the replacement rate of the zeolite coarse aggregate, and the mechanical properties were investigated through strength tests. The absorption rate of the zeolite aggregate was 14%, which is 2.5 times higher than that of general aggregate. When zeolite coarse aggregate is applied to paving concrete, the absorption rate increases according to the replacement rate. The absorption rate was 5.2% at a replacement rate of 50%, which was 42% higher than that of general paving concrete. The compressive strength increased to 20% of the replacement rate and decreased at a higher replacement, but all the strengths in the construction standard code were satisfied. The flexural strength satisfied the code up to a replacement rate of 10%, but the strength decreased with increasing replacement rate, and the splitting tensile strength was greater than that of paving concrete using general aggregate up to a 20% replacement rate. Overall, zeolite coarse aggregate can be applied as a substitute.
A and 2SM-5 type zeoli tic crystal films were synthesized on porous supports from the reaction mixture of 1.9 ${SiO}_2$1.5 $Na_20-Al_2O_3-40$$H_20$ and $Si0_2$-0.l3 $Na_2O$-52 $H_20$-O.l2 TPAOH composition, respectively. The zeolite films were characterized by XRD and SEM. The 2SM -5 crystals grown on the porous matrix were very closely bound together. It was so difficult to obtain the perfectly intergrown crystals in the case of A-type zeolite and this crystal was transformed into P-type zeolite membrane with a prolonged reaction time. The densely intergrown A type zeolite crystal membrane could be also synthesized by the hydrothermal treatment at 100$^{\cirt}C$ after pressing the reaction mixture without addition of water. The pervaporation performance of the synthesized porous inorganic membranes was investigated for alcohol and water mixtures. A-type zeolite membrane crystallized as a thin film showed the selective \'Jermeability of water from the mixtures through the molecular sieving activity of micropores.
Nano-sized ZnO crystals were successfully incorporated using ion exchange method in TMA-A zeolite synthesized by the hydrothermal method. The optimal composition for the synthesis of TMA-A zeolite was resulted in a solution of $Al(i-pro)_3$ : 2.2 TEOS : 2.4 TMAOH : 0.3 NaOH : 200 $H_2O$. 0.3 g of TMA-A zeolite and 5 mol of $ZnCl_2$ solution were employed for the preparation of ZnO incorporated TMA-A zeolite. The crystallization process of ZnO incorporated TMA-A zeolite was analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The incorporated nano-sized ZnO crystals and the crystallinity of TMA-A zeolite were evaluated by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The size of the incorporated nano-sized ZnO crystals was 3~5 nm, while the TMA-A zeolite was 60~100 nm. The bonding structure and absorption of the ZnO incorporated TMA-A zeolite were compared with the ZnO and TMA-A zeolite by the FT-IR analysis. Subsequentlly, the ZnO incorporated TMA-A zeolite showed the photoluminescent characteristics on the wavelengths of 330~260 nm and 260~230 nm by measurement of UV spectrophotometer.
