A Study on Flight Characteristics and Flight Control Methodology for a Wing In Ground Effect Vehicle (지면효과익기의 비행특성 해석 및 비행제어 방식에 관한 연구)

  • In this study an analysis on flight characteristics and flight control methods for a wing in ground effect vehicle is made. In order to closely view its nonlinearity a few limit cycles are examined and related to the characteristics of the linearized systems. Several flight control methods are compared for the cruise mode with initial height error and command tracking mode of ascending, cruise, and descending. In comparison performance and the implementation aspects are examined. For the possible control inputs, combinations of elevator, thrust, and flap are considered and LQR-based output command tracking scheme is applied in the control system design.

  • The purpose of this research Is to derive the principal design parameters governing the dynamic characteristics of the high response flow control servo valve. For this purpose, a numerical modeling of the servo valve system and a parameter sensitivity analysis to a frequency response characteristics was peformed. As a result of these analysis, a basis for improvement of a dynamic characteristics of servo valve was arranged.

Control Methods for Operation on the Saturation Edge (포화시작점에서의 운전을 위한 제어방법)

  • For some processes with saturations, economical operating points are on the saturation edges. Traditional feedback controllers cannot be used to regulate such processes on the saturation edges because there are abrupt dynamics changes and no feedback information at saturations. Optimization-based methods such as the model predictive control can treat this control problem without difficulty when the saturation levels and dynamics are known and not varying. Otherwise, an adaptation scheme to track the saturation levels and dynamics should be included. Here, for very simple methods to treat this control problem, two control methods based on the recent slope seeking method and the relay feedback method are proposed. Their performances are evaluated with simulations applying them to a second order liquid level system with saturation. Simulations show that these proposed control methods can find and maintain operating point of the saturation edge under 5% relative error.

  • Total pressure recovery ratio in intake is crucial factor to the operational characteristics of supersonic propulsion system because it does not compress inlet air mechanically by compressor, but does compress inlet air by ram compression. As the result of that the dynamic characteristic analysis of engine was performed before the controller was designed, it could be ascertained when the AoA of flight vehicle increases, the buzz margin decreases so that the shock wave produced outside intake in the specified area according to flight operation's characteristics. Therefore the PID control algorithm was designed to be controlled buzz margin that the characteristic of shock wave could meet the requirement of performance in intake. The PID controller was designed that the buzz margin value is being positive number using the control variables; fuel flow and nozzle throat area.

Analyses of Larg Cell Area MCFC System Dynamics (대면적 용융탄산염 연료전지 시스템 동특성 분석)

  • The steady state and dynamic characteristics of large cell area MCFC stacks were analyzed to solve the problems such as temperature difference generated in stacks and pressure difference between anode and cathode. Manipulated variables (current density, duel utilization rate, oxidant utilization rate) and controlled variables (temperature difference, anode and cathode pressure difference) which had an important effect on the MCFC stack performance were determined using operation results of two types of MCFC stacks (5kW (3,000 $\textrm{cm}^2$, 20 ea). 3kW (6,000 $\textrm{cm}^2$, 5ea)). The stability and transfer function representing system dynamics were obtained by steady state gain rate which showed the relative change between MVs and CVs. The transfer function was a 3$\times$3 matrix and a typical first order system without time delay. The optimal operating condition of large cell area MCFC stacks could be determined by analyzing dynamic characteristics. In case of a 5 kW MCFC stack, pressurized operation with recycle flow should be used to control the outlet temperature less than 68$0^{\circ}C$ and to control the MCFC system effectively. MIMO control or decoupler should be used to remove the interaction between MVs and CVs. This result will be used as important data in determining the control structure design and operation mode of large cell area MCFC systems in the future.

  • 본 논문은 optocoupler를 사용하여 궤환단을 절연한 오프라인 플라이백 변환기의 설계와 해석에 중점적인 목적을 두었으며, 부가적으로 궤환단을 절연하지 않은 구조를 가지는 전류모드제어 플라이백변환기와 optocoupler로 궤환단을 절연한 구조를 가지는 전류모드제어 플라이백 변환기의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 설계와 해석을 하기 위해 PSIM 시뮬레이터를 사용하여 PSIM 모델을 제시하였으며, 제시한 PSIM 모델은 110$\sim$220V 오프라인 전원을 입력하여 10V/5A의 출력을 가지는 50W 오프라인 전류모드 플라이백 변환기의 설계와 실험을 통하여 높은 정확성과 사용의 용이성을 확인하였다.

  • Micro-grid consists of micro-sources which adopt environmentally friendly and reliable power sources such as Fuel-Cell and Micro-Turbines with independent real and reactive power control capability for providing premium power quality. This paper deals with the basic aspect of dynamic modeling and the stability analysis of the micro-grid system. The fundamental frequency model of the micro-source inverters are considered to form a dynamic model of the micro-grid system Stability analysis is performed based on the linearized dynamic model of the micro-grid system Case study results show the parameters affecting the stability of the micro-grid.

  • Dynamic characteristics of a hydraulic power supply are studied theoretically and computationally. The transfer function between the supply pressure and the load flow is derived considering relief valve dynamics, accumulator dynamics, and flow line dynamics. Frequency responses and time responses are obtained in many conditions using the transfer function and nonlinear mathematical model respectively.

  • This paper proposes the neural network self-tuning PID controller for the load frequency control of 2- areas power system, namely, the prompt convergence of frequency and tie-line power flow deviation. The neural network applied to computer simulation consists of neurons of two inputs, ten hiddens and tliree outputs layer. Neurons of two inputs layer receive the error and its change rate of the system and cutputs layer consists of three neurons for the parameters of the PID controller. The simulation results shows that the proposed neural network self-tuning PID controller is superior to conventional control t~:chniques(Optimal, PID) in dynamic response and control performance.
