  • 원전에서 개발되는 계측제어 계통의 소프트웨어에 대한 평가를 위해서 발전소 상태를 모사하는 시뮬레이터를 활용하는 방법이 있다. 기존의 정적인 데이터만을 이용해서 수행하는 시험은 시스템의 성능을 정확하게 검증하는 데 한계가 있었지만 시뮬레이터에서 생성하는 입력 데이터를 계측제어 계통에 입력하여 시험을 수행하면 동적으로 변하는 상태를 구현할 수 있고, 계측제어 계통의 동작이 정확하게 수행되는 지 확인할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 시뮬레이터를 기반으로 계측제어 계통의 시험검증 적합성 평가를 수행할 수 있는 환경을 구축하였고, 필요한 프로그램을 개발하였다.

  • A test stand for an altitude test of reciprocating engine was designed, manufactured and validated by preliminary tests and simple calculations. The test stand was designed to interface with the altitude turbo-shaft engine test facility of Korea Aerospace Research Institute. Many limiting conditions for altitude test of reciprocating engine were assumed and the test stand was developed to satisfy these limitations. The test stand design was focused especially on the altitude, Mach number and fuel temperature control for reciprocating engine altitude tests with smaller air and fuel flow than those of turbo shaft engines.

  • The active control system of structural vibration using a hydraulic actuator is developed. The developed system consists of three parts : a hydraulic unit, an actuator unit and a control unit. Structural vibration is sensored by the accelerometer attached to the structure and reduced by the optimally controlled motion of active mass giving anti-phase inertia force to the structure. It is experimentally confirmed that the vibration level of model structure is reduced to about 1/6 by the developed active control system.

  • In this study, the motion control techniques allied to the test ship NARAE are summarized and the results of sea trials are resented. NARAE adopted a hybrid hull form with lower hull and submerged foils. This type of ship has a substantial instability in heave, pitch and roll modes at the foil-borne stage due to little restoring force, so an active control is indispensable to keep the stability. 4-hydraulic actuators with servo valves were installed to drive foils, and several sensors were used to measure the motion of the ship. PID controller was adopted as a motion controller, and for the real-time control, Pentium-class industrial PC was used. Sea trials including take-off, landing, and banked turn maneuvering were carried out for a period of over 3 months and quite satisfactory results were obtained.

  • In general, control performance of the active control system is superior to that of the passive control devices. However, the active system require a large amount of external energy to operate the actuators. Semi-active control systems maintain the reliability of the passive control systems while taking advantage of the adjustability of the active control system. In this research, a semi-active orificed fluid damper having the capacity of about 2 tons was designed and fabricated. It is a two-stage damper with normally open solenoid valve. A series of tests was performed to grasp its performance characteristics. It was also applied to a 6-story steel structure subjected to random and seismic excitations for the confirmation of its validity on structural vibration absorption.

  • 현재까지 중전기기 분야의 전력기기들은 주로 단위기기들의 성능이 시장경쟁력을 좌우하였으며, 대용량화 및 경제적 설계 등이 대표적인 성능요소로 평가되었으나, 앞으로는 전력감시.제어 및 보호의 효율화를 위한 시스템화의 관점이 많은 비중을 차지하게 될 것이며 이에 따라 2차적인 기능적 측면들이 강조되고, 이러한 기능적 성능들이 시장경쟁력을 크게 좌우하게 될 것으로 사료된다. 따라서 IED의 전기 접점을 통해 이루어지던 예전의 시험방식에서 네트워크를 통한 시스템 차원의 시험방식으로 변화가 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 배전선로 IED를 시스템적으로 시험할 수 있도록 UML을 이용한 성능 시험절차서의 구현 내용을 다루고자 한다.

  • Movable nozzle with a flexible seal have been used for Thrust Vector Control of the Solid Rocket Motor. The Hydraulic Testing Machine is consisted of Chamber, Actuator, Counterpotentiometer, and evaluates performance of Flexible seal for spring torque and axial compression. The qualification test of Flexible seal was conducted on design condition. A study fix up method of formulation, operation, inspection on Hydraulic testing machine.

  • Quadrotor is simple to model because of the symmetric structure but it has the disadvantage of being relatively sensitive to the external disturbance and system uncertainty. The PID technique applied for the attitude control of quadrotor has been applied comprehensively, but it has a disadvantage that is hard to precise control in the nonlinear system. In this work, a quadrotor attitude control law using the super twisting algorithm is studied, which has robust characteristics against disturbance and system uncertainty. To evaluate the attitude performance by the proposed technique, simulation studies and actual flight tests are carried out, and compared with the conventional PID controller.

  • The STEP Cube Lab. classified as a pico-class satellite has been successfully developed as a flight model(FM) to be launched in 2015. Its mission objective is to perform the on-orbit verification of fundamental space core-technologies. In this study, a thermal design concept based on the passive method to achieve the mission objective is introduced. The effectiveness of the thermal design and performance of the satellite has been verified through the acceptance level thermal vacuum test. In addition, to improve the reliability of thermal mathematical model, correlation was performed using the results of thermal balance test. This paper describes a series of process for the thermal vacuum test on the STEP Cube Lab. FM.

  • In liquid rocket engine turbopump, it is difficult to evaluate turbine performance for high pressure, high temperature circumstance. Turbine test is often done by using air at similarity condition so that the turbine can be tested at lower risk. This paper describes an air similarity test program of liquid rocket engine turbopump turbine. A test facility has been built to evaluate aerodynamic performance of turbines. The test facility consists of high pressure air supply system, mass flow rate measuring nozzle, test section, hydraulic break, exit orifice for pressure control, instrumentation and control system. This paper also presents how to decide the similarity conditions of the turbine test and describes how to control test conditions. Relative standard deviation of measurement parameter was less than 1% and measured turbine efficiency corresponded with analysis result within 2%.
