QoS-Aware Optimal SNN Model Parameter Generation Method in Neuromorphic Environment (뉴로모픽 환경에서 QoS를 고려한 최적의 SNN 모델 파라미터 생성 기법)

  • IoT edge services utilizing neuromorphic hardware architectures are suitable for autonomous IoT applications as they perform intelligent processing on the device itself. However, spiking neural networks applied to neuromorphic hardware are difficult for IoT developers to comprehend due to their complex structures and various hyper-parameters. In this paper, we propose a method for generating spiking neural network (SNN) models that satisfy user performance requirements while considering the constraints of neuromorphic hardware. Our proposed method utilizes previously trained models from pre-processed data to find optimal SNN model parameters from profiling data. Comparing our method to a naive search method, both methods satisfy user requirements, but our proposed method shows better performance in terms of runtime. Additionally, even if the constraints of new hardware are not clearly known, the proposed method can provide high scalability by utilizing the profiled data of the hardware.

  • This paper presents a set of techniques to automatically find rate optimal or near rate optimal implementation of shift-invariant flow graphs on pipelined processor, in which pipeline processor has multiple accumulators and internal datapaths. In such case, the problem to be addressed is the scheduling of multiple instruction streams which control all of the pipeline stages. The goal of an automatic scheduler in this context is to rearrange the order of instructions such that they are executed with minimum iteration period between successive iteration of defining flow graphs. The scheduling algorithm described in this paper also focuses on the problem of removing the hazards due to inter-instruction dependencies.

  • The train operation institution establishes a transportation plan based on the forecast of transport demand and the ability of train vehicles to transport, and establishes a train operation plan accordingly. The train operation plan adjusts the intervals between trains, creates a timetable (train diagram) for trains, and establishes a plan for the operation of train vehicles used for train operation. The train operation institution shall establish a crew schedule to determine and place the crew members of the trains arranged in the diagram in order to enhance the efficiency of the operation management of the trains. In this study, the authors apply the neighborhood search method that satisfies the constraints at the phase of generating the crew diagram. This suggests a methodology for efficient management of crew schedule plan. The crew diagram generated in this study compared with the existing crew diagram in accordance with the actual operating train timetable, and verified the effectiveness of the suggested method.

A Multi-path Search Algorithm for Multi-purpose Activities (다목적 정보 제공을 위한 다경로 탐색 기법 개발)

  • It is known that over one million car navigation devices are being currently used in Korea. Most. if not all, route guidance systems, however, Provide only one "best" route to users, not providing any options for various types of users to select. The current practice dose not consider each individual's different preferences. These days, a vast amount of information became available due to the rapid development in information processing technology. Thus, users Prefer choices to be given and like to select the one that suits him/her the "best" among available information. To provide such options in this Paper, we developed an algorithm that provides alternative routes that may not the "least cost" ones, but ones that are close to the "least cost" routes for users to select. The algorithm developed and introduced in the paper utilizes a link-based search method, rather than the traditional node-based search method. The link-based algorithm can still utilize the existing transportation network without any modifications, and yet enables to provide flexible route guidance to meet the various needs of users by allowing transfer to other modes and/or restricting left turns. The algorithm developed has been applied to a toy network and demonstrated successful implementation of the multi-path search algorithm for multi-purpose activities.

Hybrid Approach for Solving Manufacturing Optimization Problems (제조최적화문제 해결을 위한 혼합형 접근법)

  • Manufacturing optimization problem is to find the optimal solution under satisfying various and complicated constraints with the design variables of nonlinear types. To achieve the objective, this paper proposes a hybrid approach. The proposed hybrid approach is consist of genetic algorithm(GA), cuckoo search(CS) and hill climbing method(HCM). First, the GA is used for global search. Secondly, the CS is adapted to overcome the weakness of GA search. Lastly, the HCM is applied to search precisely the convergence space after the GA and CS search. In experimental comparison, various types of manufacturing optimization problems are used for comparing the efficiency between the proposed hybrid approach and other conventional competing approaches using various measures of performance. The experimental result shows that the proposed hybrid approach outperforms the other conventional competing approaches.

  • Constraint directed scheduling techniques, representing problem constraints explicitly and constructing schedules by constrained heuristic search, have been successfully applied to real world scheduling problems that require satisfying a wide variety of constraints. However, there has been little basic research on the representation and optimization of the objective value of a schedule in the constraint directed scheduling literature. In particular, the cost objective is very crucial for enterprise decision making to analyze the effects of alternative business plans not only from operational shop floor scheduling but also through strategic resource planning. This paper aims to explicitly represent and optimize the total cost of a schedule including the tardiness and inventory costs while satisfying non-relaxable constraints such as resource capacity and temporal constraints. Within the cost based scheduling framework, a cost propagation algorithm is presented to update cost information throughout temporal constraints within the same job.

  • Using a deterministic design optimization, the effect of uncertainty can result in violation of constraints and deterioration of performances. For this reason, design optimization is required to guarantee reliability for constraints and ensure robustness for an objective function under uncertainty. Therefore, this study drew Monte Carlo Simulation(MCS) for the evaluation of reliability and robustness, and selected an artificial neural network as an approximate model that is suitable for MCS. Applying to the aero-structural optimization problem of aircraft wing, we can explore robuster optima satisfying the sigma level of reliability than the baseline.

  • 오늘날의 기업은 상품을 판매하는 것 뿐만 아니라 기업의 신용과 이미지를 위해 그 상품에 대한 사후처리(After Service) 업무에 많은 투자를 하고 있다. 이러한 양질의 사후서비스를 고객에게 공급하기 위해서는 많은 인력을 합리적으로 관리해야 하고 요청되는 고장수리 서비스 업무를 빠르게 해결하기 위해서는 업무를 인력들에게 합리적으로 배정을 하고 회사의 비용을 최소화하면서 정해진 시간에 요청된 작업을 처리하기 위해서는 인력들에게 작업을 배정하고 스케줄링하는 문제가 발생된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 화학계기의 A/S 작업을 인력에게 합리적으로 배정하는 스케줄링 시스템에 관한 연구이다. 먼저 스케줄링 모델을 HP 사의 화학분석 및 시스템을 판매, 유지보수 해 주는 "영진과학(주)"회사의 작업 스케줄을 분석하여 필요한 도메인과 고객서비스전략과 인력관리전략에서 제약조건을 추출하였고 여기에 스케줄링 문제를 해결하기 위한 방법으로 제약만족문제(CSP) 해결기법인 도메인 여과기법을 적용하였다. 도메인 여과기법은 제약조건에 의해 변수가 갖는 도메인의 불필요한 부분을 여과하는 것으로 제약조건과 관련되어 있는 변수의 도메인이 축소되는 것이다. 또한, 스케줄링을 하는데에 있어서 비용적인 측면에서의 스케줄링방법과 고객 만족도에서의 스케줄링 방법을 비교하여 가장 이상적인 해를 찾는데 트래이드오프(Trade-off)를 이용하여 최적의 해를 구했으며 실험을 통해 인력에게 더욱 효율적으로 작업들을 배정 할 수 있었고 또한, 정해진 시간에 많은 작업을 처리 할 수 있었으며 작업을 처리하는데 있어 소요되는 비용을 감소하는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 검증하였다.를, 지지도(support), 신뢰도(confidence), 리프트(lift), 컨빅션(conviction)등의 관계를 통해 다양한 방법으로 모색해본다. 이 연구에서 제안하는 이러한 개념계층상의 흥미로운 부분의 탐색은, 전자 상거래에서의 CRM(Customer Relationship Management)나 틈새시장(niche market) 마케팅 등에 적용가능하리라 여겨진다.선의 효과가 나타났다. 표본기업들을 훈련과 시험용으로 구분하여 분석한 결과는 전체적으로 재무/비재무적 지표를 고려한 인공신경망기법의 예측적중률이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 로지스틱회귀 분석의 재무적 지표모형은 훈련, 시험용이 84.45%, 85.10%인 반면, 재무/비재무적 지표모형은 84.45%, 85.08%로서 거의 동일한 예측적중률을 가졌으나 인공신경망기법 분석에서는 재무적 지표모형이 92.23%, 85.10%인 반면, 재무/비재무적 지표모형에서는 91.12%, 88.06%로서 향상된 예측적중률을 나타내었다.ting LMS according to increasing the step-size parameter $\mu$ in the experimentally computed. learning curve. Optimal Path Finding Considering Smart Card Terminal ID Chain OD - Focused on Seoul Metropolitan Railway Network - (교통카드 단말기ID Chain OD를 반영한 최적경로탐색 - 수도권 철도 네트워크를 중심으로 -)

  • In smart card data, movement of railway passengers appears in order of smart card terminal ID. The initial terminal ID holds information on the entering station's tag-in railway line, the final terminal ID the exit station tag-out railway line, and the middle terminal ID the transfer station tag subway line. During the past, when the metropolitan city rail consisted of three public corporations (Seoul Metro, Incheon Transit Corporation, and Korail), OD data was expressed in two metrics of initial and final smart card terminal ID. Recently, with the entrance of private corporations like Shinbundang Railroad Corporation, and UI Corporation, inclusion of entering transfer line terminal ID and exiting transfer line terminal ID as part of Chain OD has become standard. Exact route construction using Chain OD has thus become integral as basic data for revenue allocation amongst metropolitan railway transport corporations. Accordingly, path detection in railway networks has evolved to an optimal path detection problem using Chain OD, hence calling for a renewed solution method. This research proposes an optimal path detection method between the initial terminal ID and final terminal ID of Chain OD terminal IDs within the railway network. Here, private line transfer TagIn/Out must be reflected in optimal path detection using Chain OD. To achieve this, three types of link-based optimum path detection methods are applied in order of 1. node-link, 2. link-link, 3. link-node. The method proposed based on additional path costs is shown to satisfy the optimal conditions.

A QoS-aware Service Selection Method for Configuring Web Service Composition (웹 서비스 합성 구성을 위한 QoS고려 서비스 선택 기법)

  • To fulfill the complex user requirement, composition web service comprised of existing services is considered from the efficient and reusable point of view instead of making entirely new web service. However, with the growing the number of web services which provide the same functionality but differ in quality value, the service composition becomes a decision problem on which component services should be selected such that end-to-end QoS constraints by the client and overall QoS of the composition service are satisfied. QoS of service aspects is a determinant factor for selecting the services, since the performance of the composed service is determined by the performance of the involved component web service. In this paper, hybrid genetic algorithm is presented to select component services to take part in the QoS-aware composition. The local search method is used to be combined with the genetic algorithm to improve the individuals (component service) in population as well as composed service. The paper also presents a set of experiments conducted to evaluate the efficiency of selection algorithm using the real web service data.
