Since the apple company adopted the desktop-office metaphor in Macintosh, the metaphoric interface has been used generally in multimedia products or services, on which user-friendly knowledge, conception, and images are represented metaphorically. Although the metaphor can be employed as one of ways to identify the essence or pattern of information, a theoretical framework on its relation with the user interface is not fully established. In this study, the user interface considered as a core of multimedia design was discussed, and the form of the graphic metaphor was investigated. The seven forms of the graphical metaphor presented herein would be applied as one of approaches to the user interface in relevant researches.

To efficiently manage the supply chain of an industry, the structure and characteristics of a supply chain have to be predefined and it is strongly required to get a framework to analyze a supply chain. We have developed a framework to analyze a supply chain from the viewpoint of chain relationship. It is possible to evaluate the degree of supply chain of each entity by using the framework. We have applied the framework to the port & logistics industry. From this research, we have identified tile current status of supply chain of port & logistics industry in the Korea and extracted some considerations for the healthy supply chain of Korean port & logistics industry.

This paper describes a vertical search system based on multiple entity-centric unification, which enables to deal with the search queries including multiple domains. To implement the system, we introduced two search technologies; one is for merging service components dynamically according to the entities in the search keywords, and the other is for searching fields with appropriate entities. Our current system includes about 453,000 overseas journal papers for article information search and two entity types; research topic and researcher.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between personality type and reading tendency of the youth who are main users in a public library and are in a very important period of character formation, and thereby to find out the possibility of bibliotherapy based on the personality type. For this study, data was collected through surveys with 538 students(324 senior years in elementary school students and 259 middle school students). This study reveals that the reading tendencies are closely related with individual, social and cultural adaptation of the youth. Based on the results of this study, a reading education method according to the personality type is expected to be developed.

This study aims to demonstrate what effect of parental Rearing Attitudes and communication on adolescents' Career Decision-making Styles to present mothers' desirable parental Rearing Attitudes and fathers' communication types for reasonable Career Decision-making. As a result, when adolescents perceived mothers' parental Rearing Attitudes negatively, they tended to make dependent decisions. Fathers' open communication had a statistically significant effect on adolescents' reasonable decision while their trouble-type communication had a statistically significant effect on adolescents' dependent decision.

In this study, we studied methods of communication among audiences, artwork and artist and analyzed interactive media art using the nonverbal communication methods. We analyzed the 4 types of nonverbal communication based on sign and meaning[1] and reclassified suitably for analysis of interactive media art. According to the analysis result, we draw typical characters by analyzing interactive media artwork which were corresponding to the each types. Also we analyzed overlap area and classify. Through these processes, we found communication methods in interactive media artwork connect audiences and artwork by organic combination of several nonverbal communication. In this paper, we suggest a new approach about the communication among audiences, artwork and artist through analyzing interactive media art using nonverbal communication.

We propose classifying the venture firms into four types of knowledge management. For this purpose, we collected questionnaire data from 101 venture firms listed in KOSDAQ, and applied a unsupervised neural network algorithm SOM to obtain four clusters representing knowledge management types-High Tech Type, Organizational Knowledge Type, Information Technology Type, and Beginner Type. Based on the results, we conclude that the venture firms listed in KOSDAQ should first know its own knowledge management type, and then apply appropriate strategies to take advantage of the knowledge management impacts on the competitiveness.

본 연구는 한국어 어순재배치(scrambling) 문장의 이해 과정에서 발생되는 대뇌 활동을 사건관련전위(event-related Potentials; ERPs) 이용하여 살펴보기 위하여 실시되었다. 네 개의 어절로 구성된 표준 어순 문장(일년만에 마님이 영감을 만났어요.)과 어순재배치 문장(일년만에 영감을 마님이 만났어요.)을 어절별로 제시하고 첫 번째 명사구(NP1), 두 번째 명사구(NP2), 동사(Verb)의 시작점(onset)에서 측정한 뇌파를 비교하였다. 뇌파의 분석은 대뇌 영역을 중심선(midline), 중앙(medial), 편측(lateral)로 나누어 전후 분포(anterior-posterior distribution)와 정중선(midline)의 열에 의해 좌우 반구(hemisphere)로 분리하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과 중심선 영역에서 표준 어순에 비해 뒤섞기 어순에서 300-500ms 시간 창(time window)에서 큰 부적 전위(negative potential)가 관찰되었으며 이는 어순재배치로 인한 N400효과로 해석되며 P600효과는 관찰되지 않았다. 특히 첫 번째 명사구에서 문장유형(표준 어순 vs. 어순재배치)의 차이가 가장 크게 관찰되었으며 두 번째 명사구에서는 중앙에서 문장유형과 반구(좌우반구)의 상호작용이 관찰되었고, 동사에서는 문장유형과 반구, 문장유형과 전극 위치의 전후 분포와의 상호작용이 관찰되었다. 본 연구 결과에서 관찰된 N400효과는 독일어와 일본어를 대상으로 한 어순재배치 연구 결과와 유사하며 한국어 어순재배치 문장에 관한 사건관련 전위를 고찰하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of GLAS(Guided-Learner Adaptable Scaffolding) strategies in web-based collaborative learning environments. Through the extensive literature reviews, web-based collaborative learning environments considering GLAS types were developed. 93 sixth graders were selected from a elementary school in Seoul, and they learned in the web-based system for 4 weeks. The results revealed that the impact of scaffolding on transfer of learning, cognitive overload by reflective scaffolding, learning motivation affected intrinsic scaffolding.

In the subway fire case, it is important that judge accuracy subway fire type and on the initial response minimize accident damage. But when the subway fire accident occurring, if it have know impossible that accuracy subway fire type to judge at once though witnessing driver or emergency response staff. This study suggests type of five senses that using information of five sense take to the subway fire accident information which analyses five senses as occurring subway fire accident. Also it is proposed that emergency response system though fire scenario by using Activity-Action Diagram(AAD).
