Experimental Study on Influence of Flow Rate Ratio in a Dehumidifier with a Solar Desiccant Apparatus (태양열제습장치 중 제습기에서의 유량비 영향에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • 제습기의 역할은 태양열제습냉방시스템 요소 중에서도 매우 중요하다. 본 논문은 이러한 특성에 맞추어 제작된 장치를 갖고서 제습능력에 영향을 미치는 유량비를 바꾸어 실험한 결과이다. 실험은 크기가 $40m^3$인 항온항습실을 대상으로 이루어졌으며, 향류형 제습기의 수직 높이는 0.4m로 고정되었다. 또한 충진층은 액체흡수제와의 접촉면을 넓게하기 위하여 플라스틱 충진재로 채워져 있으며, 흡수제의 온도는 빠른 변화를 보기 위하여 $15^{\circ}C$로, 농도는 40%로 고정하였다. 액체흡수제의 유량과 습도가 높은 공기의 유량을 각각 3단계로 바꾸어 실험한 결과, 풍량이 높을수록 제습기 효과는 낮아졌으나, 전체적인 제습량에서는 많아졌다. 한편, 제습기에서 액체흡수제 유량이 많을수록 제습되는 수분량이 많아졌으나, 시간의 변화에 따라 제습되는 속도는 현저하게 낮아졌다. 따라서, 향후 실험에서는 유량의 변화 폭을 더욱 확대해서 많은 실험 결과를 확보하고, 이를 모델링화 하여 높은 정확도를 예측할 필요가 있다.

An Experimental Study on Characteristics of Performance of Rotary Dehumidifier (회전식 제습로터의 성능특성에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 실제 사용되고 있는 제습로터의 모델(Model Ⅰ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ)을 선정하고 제습성능과 회전수 변화에 따른 성능변화의 특성을 파악하여 최적 사용조건을 확인하고자 하였다. 재생온도와 통과풍속이 일정한 조건에서 회전수 변화 및 처리측 및 재생측의 입출구 온습도 조건을 변화시키면서 성능변화를 측정하였다. 그 결과 재생온도 140℃, 통과풍속 2m/s에서의 제습성능은 Model별로 성능곡선과 대체로 잘 일치하고 있음을 확인하였으며, Model Ⅲ의 경우 상대적으로 처리측 출구온도는 높게 나타나고 있어 공기조화용으로 사용할 경우 장비에서의 열부하로 작용할 수 있는 단점은 있으나, 제습성능은 매우 우수하게 나타나고 있음을 확인하였다. 사용회전수가 Model I 의 경우 15RPH, Model Ⅱ는 약 18RPH, Model Ⅲ는 약 22.5RPH이나 실험결과 Model I과 Ⅱ 모두 약 16RPH에서 최고 성능을 보이고 있으며, Model Ⅲ는 약 20RPH에서 성능의 최고점을 나타내고 있었다.

A Study on Humid Control Characteristics of Alkaline Desiccants (알칼리성 용해제의 조습특성에 관한 연구)

  • Many salts have the ability to attract and remove water vapor from the surrounding environment. The ability of each salt to remove water vapor is based on the flow rate and temperature of air in surrounding. The objective of this study was toinvestigate the humid control characteristics in air-water system by using a desiccants. The aim is to asses the influence of three parameters on the humid control process which are air volume rate, air temperature and desiccant amount. Humidity control materials which consist of K (potassium) or Na (sodium) have been synthesized by the aqueous process. The humidity control properties of materials have been also investigated. Experiment results are as following. Thermal characteristics of desiccants showed similar properties regardless of processing condition. The experiments were examined by using artificial air-water system (humidity : 70~93%, air volume rate : $0.22{\sim}0.69m^3/s$). The results showed that the Na-type desiccant was an effective material. It was found that dew point increased with air volume rate, and the humidity change in humid control process was depended on desiccants amount.

  • An experimental study has been carried out to investigate the dehumidification characteristics for several operating conditions of a compact desiccant rotor. This problem is of particular interest in the design of a desiccant type of dehumidifier. Room temperature, room humidity, regeneration temperature, revolution speed and frontal air velocity of desiccant rotor are varied as operating conditions. The results obtained indicate that dehumidification rate is increased with an increase in the room humidity while dehumidification effectiveness is not changed much. It is also found that the optimal rotor speed and optimal regeneration temperature exist for maximum dehumidification rate and dehumidification effectiveness.

  • This study investigates the pressure leakage characteristics of a desiccant rotor with a brush-type air seal. Through a pressure leakage experiment, a correlation equation for the leakage air flow rate is obtained as a function of the air seal area and pressure difference. Using this equation, an air leakage model for the desiccant rotor is developed. By comparing simulation results with the experimental results for the desiccant rotor, the accuracy of the air leakage model is demonstrated. A performance test of a desiccant rotor with various air flow rates is carried out. Using the air leakage model, the effective mass flow rate and air leakage rate are found. In addition, the characteristics of the air leakage are analyzed for a desiccant cooling system using the developed air leakage model.

  • In this paper, humidity measurement is accomplished using humidity sensor, dehumidify is implemented using general-purpose $\mu$-processorPIC16C54 and thermoelectric module for control measured humidity and input target humidity value proportionally Pottier module product is variety kind of size and characteristic, very important drawing factor is selection necessary heat sink, which is maintain proper thermal resistance from variety kind of module also. From electronic dehumidifier is manufacture by using thermoelectric module, no sound, no vibration, low power consumption of partial space efficient dehumidify proves the validity of this system.

Derivation and Analysis of Dimensionless Parameters Dominating the Dehumidification Characteristics of a Desiccant Rotor (제습로터의 운전특성을 재배하는 무차원 인자의 도출과 해석)

  • In a previous work of the authors, the heat and mass transfer in a desiccant rotor was analyzed theoretically through linearization assumptions and four dimensionless parameter groups dominating the dehumidification process were arranged. In this work is verified whether the four dimensionless parameters also play the dominant roles in more realistic situations where the nonlinear factors affect the heat and mass transfer. The results show that the dehumidification characteristics are closely similar to each other as long as the four dimensionless parameters have the same set of values while the rotor configurations and/or the operation conditions are different from each other. The four dimensionless parameters are $\Psi,\;\chi,\;\sigma$ and N, where $\Psi$ implies the average gradient of relative humidity lines in the psychrometric chart, $\chi$ the heat capacity of the rotor and $\sigma$ the sorption capacity of the rotor, and N implies the number of transfer unit.

  • In this study, based on CMA which is increasingly used for eco-friendly deicing materials, dehumidification MB made of sodium carbonate, $MgCl_2$/MgO (M/M), and SAP is to be produced. And its moisture absorption rate and dehumidification performance of the film are to be analyzed. And the data on the materials used for the dehumidification film are to be acquired. In case of the dehumidification MB, in which CMA and SAP are mixed, had poor film machinability due to foaming and moisture issues, but adding bentonite and calcium carbonate solved the problem. When a foaming agent was added to extend surface area between substances, CMA and M/M showed no remarkable difference, but SC showed large increase to 3.15 g/g. As the result of anti-corrosive test, CMA dehumidification film showed no corrosion while SC showed pitting corrosion and M/M showed corrosion.

Characteristic Analysis of Hybrid Desiccant Cooling System for District Heating in Residential Environment (지역난방에 연계된 하이브리드 제습냉방시스템의 주거환경에서의 성능 분석)

  • A series of field tests on hybrid desiccant cooling systems were conducted in July-August, 2013. The temperature and humidity of the supply and return air, power, and heat consumption were monitored and transferred in real time through the Internet. The performance parameters of the cooling system, namely, cooling capacity and COP (coefficient of performance), were evaluated from the measured data and their variations under outdoor conditions was analyzed. It was found that with increase in the outdoor temperature, the total energy decreases and cooling capacity increases whereas the latter decreases with increase in the outdoor humidity. The COP was also found to increase with the increase in outdoor temperature.
