Standardization Method for Vessel Collision Warning Service Using WAVE Communication Technology (WAVE 선박충돌경보 서비스를 위한 표준화 방안 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Maritime accidents, such as the collision of a fishing boat in Incheon's Yeongheung Island, result in several casualties and property damage, even if they occur just once. To prevent such accidents, the Incheon Metropolitan Government is implementing safety management policies; further, they will provide ship collision warning services to prevent collisions on WAVE (Wireless Access in Vehicular Environment) communication-based ship safety operation pilot projects. However, to realize these objectives, a service standardization method is required that defines specific service types, configurations, and systems, which should be prepared based on user requirement analyses. In this study, a standardization method of WAVE communication-based collision warning service was developed by analyzing the requirements of the vessel operators subject to the services and related authorities. This will help improve the quality of service, ensuring professionalism and reliability through continuous improvement and efforts for standardization, as well as data derived from demonstration projects. Therefore, it is expected to help prevent maritime accidents to a considerable extent.

  • 공동저작 환경에서는 원활한 저작을 위해 저작의 결과물인 객체들을 공유해야 하는 경우가 많이 발생한다. 이러한 공유 객체들을 여러 저작자들이 문제없이 공유하려면 경쟁상태를 최소화하고 공유 객체를 보호하기 위한 플로어 제어 기법이 필요하다. 단일 세션 내에서의 플로어 제어에 대해서는 많은 연구가 있어 왔지만 다중세션 환경에서의 공유 객체에 대한 플로어 제어에 대한 연구는 거의 되어 있지 않다. 본 논문은 다중 세션환경에서의 공유객체 사용 시 충돌을 방지하기 위한 플로어 제어와 공유객체 관리 모듈간의 연동구조를 제시한다. 플로어 제어는 플로어 할당 정책과 플로어 제어 메커니즘으로 구성된다. 플로어 할당 정책으로는 다중세션 환경에서 비교적 규모가 근 공동작업 환경에 적합한 관리자를 둔 의장형 방식을 사용하였다. 플로어 제어 메커니즘은 다양한 종류의 공유객체들의 제어를 위해 잠금 입자도를 고려한 잠금 기법을 사용하였다.

Detection and Recovery of Policy Conflicts in Policy-based Network Management Systems (정책기반 네트워크 관리 시스템의 정책 충돌 탐지 및 복구)

  • Policy-based Network Management (PBNM) has been presented as a paradigm for efficient and customizable management systems. The approach chosen is based on PBNM systems, which are a promising and novel approach to network management. These systems have the potential to improve the automation of network management processes. The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) has also used policy concepts and provided a framework to describe the concept as the Policy Core Information Model (PCIM) and its extensions. There are policy conflicts among the policies that are defined as the policy information model and they are not easily and effectively detected and resolved. In this paper, we present the brief description of PBNM and illustrate the concepts of policy core information model and its policy implementation for a network security. Especially we describe our framework for detecting and resolving the policy conflicts for network security.

  • 4차 산업혁명으로 자율화·지능화됨에 따라 육·해상의 교통수단에 ICT 기술을 활용한 자율운행차 자율운항선박 등 신기술 및 서비스 개발이 점차 확대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 해상분야의 자율운항선박 자율주행에 필요한 기술 도출을 위한 방법으로 육상분야의 자율주행차량의 핵심기술인 센서기술과 AI기술에 대해 알아보고 비교 분석하고자 한다. 자율주행차 주행을 위한 기술개발은 센서와 정밀도로정보(지도) 2트랙으로 개발이 진행되고 있으나, 최근 센서 오류 등으로 인한 사고발생이 잦아 정밀도로정보(지도) 중요성이 증가하고 있어 정밀도로 정보 구축을 서두르고 있다. 반면 자율운항선박의 경우 충돌회피 기술, 최적항로 개발, 정보보안 등 기술개발이 이루어지고 있으나 AI용 수로정보에 한 대비는 진행되고 있지 않고 있다. 따라서, 자율운항선박의 안전한 자율주행을 위한 방법으로 AI 알고리즘 연산과정에서 기계적으로 이용 가능하고 목적에 적합한 수로정보 구축이 필요하며 우리나라 선박의 안전운항을 위해 국가차원에서 수로정보 수집 및 생산을 담당해야 하므로 국가에서 주도하에 연구개발이 진행되어야 할 것이다.

Efficient Hardware Transactional Memory Scheme for Processing Transactions in Multi-core In-Memory Environment (멀티코어 인메모리 환경에서 트랜잭션을 처리하기 위한 효율적인 HTM 기법)

  • Hardware Transactional Memory (HTM) has greatly changed the parallel programming paradigm for transaction processing. Since Intel has recently proposed Transactional Synchronization Extension (TSX), a number of studies based on HTM have been conducted. However, the existing studies support conflict prediction for a single cause of the transaction processing and provide a standardized TSX environment for all workloads. To solve the problems, we propose an efficient hardware transactional memory scheme for processing transactions in multi-core in-memory environment. First, the proposed scheme determines whether to use Software Transactional Memory (STM) or the serial execution as a fallback path of HTM by using a prediction matrix to collect the information of previously executed transactions. Second, the proposed scheme performs efficient transaction processing according to the characteristic of a given workload by providing a retry policy based on machine learning algorithms. Finally, through the experimental performance evaluation using Stanford transactional applications for multi-processing (STAMP), the proposed scheme shows 10~20% better performance than the existing schemes.

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine how technological innovation and increasing competition affect the relationship among market players and what policy issues are emerging through the case of UHDTV. There emerges sharp conflicts among consumer-electronics companies, telcos, terrestrial broadcasting companies and pay-TV companies since they all have different perspectives and interests regarding the way UHDTV services are introduced in the competitive broadcasting market. Dualized governance structure leads to aggravating conflicts. While the case of UHDTV demonstrates clearly that technological innovation and more competition into the market create conflicts among these market players, it is well expected that we will see very often similar conflicts and policy chaos in this innovative and competitive broadcasting industry.

  • A car accident on a highway occurs a chain-reaction collision because of a vehicle's fast velocity. In order to prevent it, the accident vehicle should broadcast a safe message to its neighbors. If there are many neighbor nodes, a frame collision probability is high. To solve this, it was proposed for a system as a previous study to send a safe message without frame-collision using separating channels. However, the separation of multiple channels make feasibility low because of increasing hardware's development cost and complexity. In this paper, we proposes a TDMA-based MAC protocol using a single channel. As a result, we show the frame reception success rate of our protocol was almost the same as the previous protocol.

A Study on the OTP Generation Algorithm for User Authentication (사용자 인증에 적합한 OTP 생성 알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • A disposable password is necessary to avoid any danger by the use of a static password and reinforce the user's authentication. In order to prevent personal information from being exposed, OTP generation algorithm is regarded as important. The OTP generation algorithm we suggest in this thesis generates 256-bit-size OTP Data by using Seed value and Time value. This value that the generated OTP Data are arranged with a matrix and a 32-bit-value is extracted on an irregular basis becomes the final value. We can find out that the more OTP generation frequency we have, the lower probability of clash tolerance we get in our suggested algorithm, compared to the previous algorithm.

격자별 선박 점유율을 고려한 해상교통량 분석 및 예측 모델 개발

  • 육상, 철도, 항공 등 타 교통분야에서 지속적으로 사고와 인명피해가 줄어든 반면, 해양분야는 해양사고가 증가하며 실효적 해양교통안전관리에 대한 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 최근 3년간 국내 해상에서 발생한 충돌사고 중 어선을 포함한 충돌사고가 전체의 약 84%를 차지하며, 해상교통의 주요 변수인 어선을 포함한 국가의 해상교통량 파악은 반드시 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 현 정부 국정과제인 '디지털 해상 교통망 구축'과 더불어 해양교통안전관리체계 마련의 일환으로 국내 전체 선박위치발신장치(AIS, V-PASS) 데이터를 활용하여 해상교통량을 분석하고 예측 모델을 개발한다. 이를 위해 선박 밀집도를 통한 그리드별 공간가산분석과 항적 데이터 전처리 및 선형화, 선박 길이에 따른 점용면적 산정을 통한 단위 그리드별 해상교통량을 분석한다. 또한, 과거 교통량 데이터는 딥러닝 기반의 시계열 특성을 지닌 RNN과 LSTM 모델을 활용하여 교통량 예측 모형을 개발한다. 본 연구의 결과는 해상교통량과 해양사고의 연관성 분석 및 속력제한구역 등 해상정책 수립의 정량적 근거를 제공하며, 국민에게 해상교통정보 제공을 통해 교통복지 증진에 기여할 수 있다.
