The objectives of this study were to develop a new commercial grain cooler suited to domestic weather and post-harvesting conditions for paddy, and to evaluate the performance. A prototype grain cooler capable of cooling paddy of 200 tons within 24 hours was developed. The grain cooler was designed to control the refrigeration capacity from 0 to 100% by controlling the capacity of compressor with unloading solenoid valve and by changing the flow rates of hot refrigerant gas flowing into reheater and evaporator from compressor. And a controller with one chip microprocessor was developed to control temperature and relative humidity of cooling air. The maximum cooling capacity of the grain cooler was 35,284㎉/hr at condensing/evaporating pressure of 16.5/3.6 kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$. Maximum flow rate of cooling air was 120 ㎥/min at static pressure of 279 mmAq. The total maximum required power was 22.8㎾, and total required energy was saved from 26.7 to 33.3% of maximum power depending on operating conditions. The coefficient of performance of refrigeration devices and total coefficient of performance of the grain cooler were 4.71 and 1.8, respectively.

Due to the impermeability of outer wall facilities such as Breakwaters which dissipates the wave energy and keeps harbor tranquility, the enclosed area of harbor becomes partially blocked and the water exchange can be reduced. Recent trends of port development protect water quality and emphasize Water-Front, so the method which enhances the circulation of harbor waters and the dilution of the water pollutants are studied. The best improvement of water quality is a remove of pollutant source on land, but an enclosed port must be enhanced the tidal exchange. For this end, the best improvement may be made a drain-route on the existing outer wall facilities. In this study, the numerical computations were carried out to predict the circulation of harbor waters and the tidal exchange through the drain-rout in the polluted harbor(Samchonpo-guhang) located at the east coast of South Sea. Computational models adopting FDM(Finite Difference Method) were used here and were already verified from the previous studies und ocean survey. As a result of this study, circulation and the tidal exchange at the harbor before and after introduction of drain-route were assessed.

In this study, we have intended to precisely analyze the aspect of propagation and the extent of damage due to the traffic noise as hon as a main source of noise in urban area. The propagation of traffic noise has a strong relationship between distance and shape of surface. Thus, it is necessary to consider the distribution of buildings for estimating effects of noise in urban area because noise propagations will be affected by buildings. For this, we developed the DEM and DBM using the airborne LiDAR data in the study area and compared with results from the noise simulations using the each model. The extent of damage occurred by the traffic noise above 60 dB(A) from the case of DEM were shown at the 60% of a whole study area, whereas the extent from other case of DBM were shown at the 30% of a whole study area. Also, the extent of the noise levels between 45 dB(A) and 50 dB(A) will be generally recognized as calm environment was increased(the 0% to the 43%) in the case which simulated with building informations. These results indicated that the shape informations of buildings like a DBM is a essential source to simulate the propagation of traffic noise in urban area especially. With results in this study, the effect of traffic noise at a specific area will be easily and precisely estimated if we have the LiDAR data and a traffic census for Korea. Furthermore specific area's traffic noise simulation could be possible using only road traffic information once we have DBM data from LiDAR surveying. This also could be applied as a base data for noise pollution petitioning, traffic planning, construction, etc. in huge city planning projects like a U-City.

Recently, with sudden increase of supplying rate of cars and quantity of goods transported, traffic noisy becomes one of important factors obstruct environment of exhibition and view facilities have purpose in calmness and unsatisfaction about this is high now. Therefore, in case of exhibition and view facilities, it has to be grasped that satisfaction degree about the noisy in and out of the exhibition room by performing effect valuation on traffic noisy from design step. However the level of internal noise cannot be measured at the design phrase of the structure due to the noise of traffic. Up until now a walls transmission loss, based on the law of mass, is predicted using this method. However measuring the internal sound level after actual construction reveals that there is a large difference from measurements made at the design stage, and it is very difficult to find a solution after the opening of the structure. From research looking from this perspective the internal sound level was predicted- calculating the internal sound absorption ability, using acoustic simulation and loss prevention of an insulated wall- based on data collected to evaluate the internal sound of an exhibition room at a Folk Museum adjacent to a freeway. The results of this research are considered to provide important data for the prediction of internal sound level at the time of construction of exhibition facilities similar to this.

The purpose of this study is to closely examine the influence of the surcharge load applied to the retaining wall through some model tests, in which wall stiffness in each stage of excavation, horizontal displacement of the retaining wall and surface displacement of the backfill according to wall stiffness and ground conditions, and change and distribution of the earth pressure applied to it were measured and their values were produced, then these values were mutually compared with their theoretical values and their values after analysis of the data obtained at the field, and they were analytically studied, in order to closely examine the influence of the surcharge load applied to the retaining wall. Findings from this study are as follows: The shape of ground surface settlement curve on the model ground under surcharge load, different from the distribution curve of regular probabilities which is of a shape of ground surface settlement under no surcharge load, appears in that settlement in an arching shape shows where the center part of surcharge load shows the maximum settlement. In examining the maximum horizontal displacement with the surcharge load applied to each stage of excavation, it occured at the point of 0.8H(excavation depth) when finally excavated. Regarding the range in which the displacement of the retaining wall increases according to application of surcharge load, the increment of displacement showed till the point of depth which is of two times of the distance of load from the upper part of the wall. Also since each displacement of the foundation plate caused by the ground surface settlement according to each stage of excavation occured most significantly at the final stage. Also since regarding wall stiffness, the wall of its thickness of 4mm(flexible coefficient $p:480m^3/t$), produced maximum 3 times of wall stiffness than its thickness of 9mm(flexible coefficient $p: 40m^3/t$), it was found out that influence of wall stiffness is so significant.

Other damage can occur due to the preexisting dull structure and installation of nonenvironmental-friendly concrete structure, lack of function for preventing coastal erosion. Increase of personal income and fast spread of the concept of waterfront casued the initiation of many project to improve aging coastal ports. However, none of environment-friendly structure has been developed and pre-existing solid block, igloo block, tunnel block are used commonly. In piers and lighter's wharf where the ships are mooring, resonance by the generation of a reflected wave caused by penetration wave in the port and port wave increases wave heights in the port and makes difficult to maintain the temperature, causes problems in mooring ships and cargo-working, and eventually increase the occurance of damages of the small ships by the collision. Therefore, development of new types of blcok is necessary. To apply Coastal Environments block developed for this reason, it requires allowable bearing capacity evaluation of shear key. For this study, we made test specimen for connecting part of C.E. Block, and conducted friction test of boundary surface. Data obtained by the experiment was analyzed by finite element analysis and assessed the coefficient of friction between C.E. Block and boundary surface.
The purpose of the present study is to explore the significance of the Commentaries on Pavilions (樓亭記) from the Sancheong-gun area. To achieve this purpose, the study analyzes the works handed down in Sancheong-eup, Chahwang-myeon, Obu-myeon, and Geumseo-myeon, focusing on the two characteristic themes: the discipline and enlightenment of heart and mind (in Chapter 2) and the succession of integrity and the tradition of ancestor worship (in Chapter 3). The first characteristic theme "the discipline and enlightenment of heart and mind" is explicated in Chapter 2 by reviewing the Commentary on Hwanajeong Pavilion (Hwanajeonggi) written for the namesake building located in Sancheong-ri, Sancheong-eup, and the Commentary on Gyeongjeonjae Pavilion (Gyeongjeonjaegi) in Maechon-ri, Geumseo-myeon. The second theme "the succession of integrity and the tradition of ancestor worship" is examined in Chapter 3 based on the Commentary on Sulgojeongsa Pavilion (Sulgojeongsagi) from Jangwi-ri, Chahwang-myeon, and the Commentary on Maeranjeong Pavilion (Maeranjeonggi) from Yangchon-ri, Obu-myeon.

The greenhouse gas (GHG) emission assessment of kenaf pellet, produced from locally generated kenaf residues in South Korea, has been studied based on the EU RED-II methodology for calculating GHG impact of biomass fuels. Based on the production pathway of kenaf residue pellet and emission coefficients from EU JRC report, the life cycle GHG emission of kenaf residue pellet is assessed as 3.0 gCO2eq/MJpellet and the life cycle GHG emission of electricity generated from kenaf residue pellet is assessed as 11.9 gCO2eq/MJ when electrical efficiency of final conversion is 25%. The potential GHG emission reduction of electricity produced from kenaf pellet is 90.3% compared to the domestic electricity emission factor 42.8 kgCO2eq/MWh. Also, the electricity produced from kenaf pellet can reduce at least 59.6% of GHG emission compared to the electricity produced from imported wood pellets.
This study identified the relationship between stress and burnout that affects turnover intention of daycare center operators in the process of childcare and operation, and analyzed the role of burnout in the correlation between stress and turnover factors in Child Care Center Directors. The research results are as follows. First, the higher the stress of the Child care center director, the higher the burnout. In particular, among the stresses, the director confirmed that the higher the stress on faculty management and administrative and financial management, the higher the burnout. Second, the higher the burnout of the director of the Child care center, the higher the turnover intention. Third, it was confirmed that the higher the stress of the Child care center director, the higher the turnover intention. Fourth, as a result of verifying the mediating effect presented in this study, it can be said that burnout has a mediating effect in the correlation between stress and turnover intention, and since the direct effect of stress on turnover intention is not significant, this mediating effect is completely mediating. can be said. In conclusion, it was confirmed that preventing job burnout is the most important issue for managing stress, which is the most important factor for turnover of Child care center Directors. Therefore, it can be said that stress and burnout have a significant correlation among job factors of childcare center directors.
