This study was conducted to identify factors influencing mental health of one-person household members. Using data from the 2019 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, 768 subjects were included. The SPSS/Win 21.0 program was used, and the complex sample design data were analyzed by Rao-Scott 𝑥² test and multiple logistic regression analysis. Of the subjects, 29.9% perceived high stress, 16.2% felt depressed, and 8.2% had suicidal ideation. The influencing factors of stress perception were age and subjective health status(p<.001). Factors influencing depressed mood were household income, subjective health status, and perceived stress(p<.001). Factors influencing suicidal ideation were age, household income, subjective health status, perceived stress, and depressed mood(p<.001). The results of this study can be used as basic data for improving mental health services of one-person household members.

Breast cancer is the most prevalent oncological disease among women. Various psychosocial distress is common at the diagnosis, treatment, and posttreatment phase of breast cancer. For the treatment of breast cancer, not only medical treatment but also psychosomatic integrative care will be needed. Patients with breast cancer may lead to increased vulnerability to stress, adjustment disorder, anxiety disorder, and depressive disorder, and these psychiatric diseases and conditions are associated with recurrence or exacerbation of breast cancer. Psychosocial treatment of anxiety and depression could increase the quality of life of patients and decrease the recurrence and progression of breast cancer. In this article, we reviewed 5 clinical breast cancer survivorship guidelines focused on psychosomatic integrative care including psychosocial treatment and alternative treatment for psychosocial distress. Because 5 treatment guidelines were using various definitions of evidence, we confirmed evidence of various psychosocial treatments for patients with breast cancer based on the definition of evidence by the US Preventive Service Task Force (USPSTF) guideline. We also reviewed the effect size of psychosocial treatment for anxiety, depression, mood, and quality of life in patients with breast cancer. This article discusses the barrier to the delivery of psychosomatic integrative care and suggests integrative care planning for breast cancer. Multi-disciplinary teams, patient's needs assessment, information technology support, patient and caregiver engagement, planned periodic monitoring of psychosocial distress by a psychosomatic specialist or consultation-liaison psychiatrist are recommended as key features of a psychosomatic integrated care plan.

In this study, the effect of chronic pain on the lives of elderly people in long-term care service was analyzed based on the mediated effect of depression. The research data was sampled from elderly people in long-term care services, 204 people participated. From mediated regression analysis, depression was the most relevant factor on the quality of life, followed by chronic pain. With chronic pain and depression as independent variables and quality of life as a dependent variable, depression was proved to have had a fully mediated effect on quality of life. The result of this study suggested that convergence of various support systems should be implemented for the elderly in long-term care services.

The purpose of this study supplies the basic data to plan the optimum mental health service that is reflected needs of the elderly people with mental illness by checking how their demographic-sociological distinctive feature and function level have an effect on their needs of mental health service by being absent situation of a study of the elderly people with mental illness. As results of analysis, the residental type, the disease period, and the decision person of admission-discharge control of demographic-sociological distinctive feature is much effect on needs of programs and also effect commonly on the needs of the health promotion program and the discharge support program. Generally, the function level of the elderly people with mental illness is favorable and the order of function level is the group activity program, the counseling program, and the resource network program.

The present study set out to explore the acculturative stress and mental health(depression) of Korean women living in Britain according to socio-demographic factors, social relations and social supports level. 152 Korean women's data were collected and analyzed with frequency, correlation, ANOVA. Analysis revealed that women's acculturative stress and depression level was 2.50(moderate) and 1.66(slightly low) respectively. Acculturative stress level showed correlation with depression level. Among demographic variables, acculturative stress was significantly different from residence period in Britain, marriage and economic state and the level of depression was also different from job and economic state. The group which has frequent relationships with British and high level of social supports showed low acculturative stress. The group has high level of social supports also showed low depression. These findings highlight the importance of concerns and interventions about acculturation and mental health of Korean immigrant women and community services for the new immigrant women to improve their acculturation and mental health.

The purpose of this study is to explore the experiences and challenges of public guardianship services project for the mental disabled as a system of supporting the decision-making and the rights advocacy. For this purpose, interviews with 11 social workers who act as public guardians were conducted and a model of practice was suggested through analysis using the grounded theory of Strauss and Corbin(1998). As a results, the possibility of rights advocacy through public guardian services for the mentally disabled, the positive change of attitude of the facilities and the establishment of direction for the restoration of rights for the mentally disabled were derived. Public guardians experienced excessive empowerment of their guardians or difficulties in the process of their duties, but were also able to defend the rights of the mental disabled and support self-determination right. Through this study, expansion of budgets and expansion of beneficiaries for public guardianship services, establishment of infrastructure for integration in the community, set-up a support organization for public guardian services and Raising awareness of the mental disabled and public guardian services were suggested.

Recently there are many people who suffer from a mental problem like depression or anxiety caused by the stress of employment or school works. Some mental care agencies serve a campaign for them, but it's less accessible due to the geographic distance. And before taking the service, people should find out what is a better psychological test for them to diagnose the problem. Furthermore, it is inconvenient that keeping the diagnosis which is written in some papers. In his paper, in order to solve these problems, suggests the novel platform that serves psychological tests to users and stores results into database so that involved agencies could contact quickly. The psychological tests BAI, BDI, PHQ-15, and Q-15 were used to verify the reliability and effectiveness of the platform.

Because of economic polarization and difficulties, extreme personalization, and the complexity of social relationships, modern people are experiencing various mental disorders or pathologies. Accordingly, there is an urgent need to prepare more active countermeasures and support those with mental health difficulties to improve mental health and prevent abnormal pathologies. Artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to improve the mental health of individuals through emotional enhancement beyond affective computing. We investigated how to use AI to prevent and diagnose mental diseases or disorders, support treatment, and manage followup. In particular, promising services that can be used in daily life or medical clinics were discovered and active directions for realizing these services are suggested.
