Optimal Acoustic Sound Localization System Based on a Tetrahedron-Shaped Microphone Array (정사면체 마이크로폰 어레이 기반 최적 음원추적 시스템)

  • This paper proposes a new sound localization algorithm that can improve localization performance based on a tetrahedron-shaped microphone array. Sound localization system estimates directional information of sound source based on the time delay of arrival(TDOA) information between the microphone pairs in a microphone array. In order to obtain directional information of the sound source in three dimensions, the system requires at least three microphones. If one of the microphones fails to detect proper signal level, the system cannot produce a reliable estimate. This paper proposes a tetrahedron- shaped sound localization system with a coordinate transform method by adding one microphone to the previously known triangular-shaped system providing more robust and reliable sound localization. To verify the performance of the proposed algorithm, a real time simulation was conducted, and the results were compared to the previously known triangular-shaped system. From the simulation results, the proposed tetrahedron-shaped sound localization system is superior to the triangular-shaped system by more than 46% for maximum sound source detection.

In order to construct plane sections of regular tetrahedron and regular hexahedron first of all, we extract some base problems that are used for construction. And we describe construction process using base problems in detail.

  • The dipole moments for octahedral [Co(III)-$O_3N_3$], tetrahedral [M(II)-$O_2N_2$] and square planar [M(II)-$O_2N_2$] types complexes are calculated by the expansion method for spherical harmonics using the valence basis sets for the central metal ion and the single basis set orbital ($2p_z$) for ligands. The calculated dipole moments for these complexes are in agreement with the experimental values.

  • This study is aimed at analysing the mathematical thinking processes based on image by the mathematically gifted. For this, the 'Splitting a Tetrahedron' Task was used and mathematical thinking of the two middle school students were investigated. One of them deduced how many tetrahedral and octahedral were there when a tetrahedra was splitted by the surfaces which were parallel to each face of the tetrahedra without using any physical material. The other one solved the task using physical material and invented new images. A concrete image, indexical image and symbolic image were founded and the various roles of images could be confirmed.

  • Mechanistic studies on the metal-exchange reactions of sparteine copper(II) dichloride [$SpCuCl_2$] with Hg(II) ion and Hg(0) metal have been carried out with the aid of Cyclic Voltammetry and UV-visible spectrophotometry. The metal exchange reaction of $SpCuCl_2$ with both Hg(II) ion and Hg(0) metal follows pseudo-first order kinetics. Rate constants and activation parameters of metal exchange reaction have been evaluated and reported. Experimental results indicate that the rate determining step for the exchange reaction is the cleavage of Cu(II)-N bond in the transient binuclear complex of Cu(II) and mercury(II) bound to sparteine ligand.

  • 본 논문에서는, 원통형셀의 직렬조합에 의한 직렬배터리팩 구성(16S1P) 시, 배터리팩의 외형(정사면체;$4{\times}4$/직사면체;$2{\times}8$)차이에 의한 내부 열분포의 기초해석을 Comsol 프로그램을 통해 실시하였다. 동일한 전류프로파일을 적용하였을 때, 각 배터리팩 내부의 셀 간 열분포 및 외형의 차이에 의한 두 배터리팩의 열분포 비교 분석을 실시하였다. 기초해석 논문이므로, 실제 산업계에서 사용되는 원통형셀의 실험조건 대신에 Comsol 프로그램에서 제공하는 18650 타입의 원통형셀의 음극(anode)와 양극(cathode)의 시뮬레이션 조건을 적용하였다.

Characterization of Atomic Structure in Rapidly Solidified Amorphous Silicon (급냉응고된 비정질 실리콘 분말의 원자구조에 관한 연구)

  • The submicron powders of high-purity silicon have been produced by Electrohydrodynamic Atomization. Field-emission scanning transmission electron microscopy(STEM) is used to determine the microstructure and solidification phase. .Then it is found that the droplets less than 60nm diameter are solidified as the amorphous phase. A useful and accessible characterization of atomic arrangements in amorphous solids can be given in terms of a radial distribution function. According to experimental determinations of the radial distribution function for amorphous silicon, its similarity to the crystalline structure at small radial distances indicates that the basic tetrahedral arrangement found in the diamond cubic structure of silicon must be maintained in the amorphous structure.

  • Ab initio calculations of the structure and the binding energies of K+(C2H5OH)n, (n=1~5) complexes were carried out with MP2/ full gen 6d and MP2/ 6-311G** methods. The stable structures of the complexes with n=2 to 5 were linear, trigonal, tetrahedral and trigonal bipyramid respectively. The binding energies of complexes were increased with the number of ligands, but the incremental binding energies were decreased. These results agreed well with the results of K+ complexes with other solvents.

  • Twelve recombinant viruses with wider host range were plaque purified after coinfectian of Autographa cahjornica and Bombyx mOT! NPVs into Sf9 ar BmN-4 cells. Restriction endonucleases analysis of the recombinant's DNAs showed that the recombinatIOn between AcNPV and BmNPV genomes had occurred more than once. When the recombinam RecB-8, derived from BrnN-4 cells, was observed by electron rntcroscopy, the shape of the polyhedron was a regular tetrahedron, and few virions were occluded into a polyhedron.
