The main purpose of this study is to determine the optimal periodic inspection for Anti-Ship-Missile(Harpoon Block 1) fielding on Korea Navy Ship. In order to perform this study, the data from the Korea Navy (Harpoon maintenance & storage reliability) were collected from 1984 to 2004. Storage failure rate & MTBF for Harpoon block 1 were analysed by using mathematical model & reliability analysis software(Relex) and finally determined optimal periodic inspection. The suggested methodology will be used to determine and reevaluate the periodic inspection of Anti-Ship-Missiles for the Korea Navy.

This research focuses on the condition of the coveralls that automobile maintenance workers wear. The objective of this survey is to conduct a thorough analysis on the quality of the coveralls and put forth suggestions for improving their quality. The research data were collected through interviews and the results are as follows. The participants in this research engage in a variety of types of maintenance work including oil changes and overall system checks and they usually wear extra-large-sized coveralls. The coveralls are generally worn during the winter for warmth and the company handles all purchasing and maintenance of the work clothes. Participants mentioned that certain parts of the clothes where they bend and stretch are cumbersome and areas around the knees and arms become easily tainted. They have also reported that although the coveralls are necessary, they are for the most part dissatisfied when it comes to the materials, design, and color. The participants have suggested that new coveralls would help to increase their work efficiency. As a result, it is concluded that the coveralls require much more development to meet the workers' needs and improvements need to be made on the functionality, aesthetics, and symbolic aspects of the design.

The purpose of this paper is to suggest guidelines for building up an integrated information network(IIN) model that enable to enhance production, flow and use of knowledge and information. The IIN consists of five areas of key infrastructure, such as, education, R&D, labor market, school-industry cooperation, and lifelong education information infrastructure. Based on the analysis of current situations and problems of each information infrastructure, this paper raises variety of issues and solution for the IIN model. Directions for building up the IIN includes both information base infrastructure and information support infrastructure.

Unless the records appraisal system is properly overhauled, there is no future for public records management. This study aims to highlight challenging issues and present improvement tasks necessary for the readjustment of the public records appraisal system at the national level. First, public records appraisal policies are divided into five categories: i) statements on appraisal policy and selection criteria, ii) appraisal tools such as disposition authorities, iii) subject of appraising, iv) appraisal procedures, and v) responsibility and authority in appraisal and disposition process. Second, the domestic situation is identified for each category. Third, policies of the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada are compared, and implications are derived for each category. Fourth and last, the tasks for the readjustment of the public appraisal system are proposed based on these analyses.

2011년 6월 '해상교통안전법'이 '해사안전법'으로 전부 개정된 후 진단시행지침의 전부 개정을 통해 선박안전기술공단 해사안전연구센터가 진단전문기관으로 지정되었다. 하지만 국가업무를 대행 또는 위탁하는 형식이 아닌 진단서에 대한 의견을 제시하는 수준으로 전문기관의 설립 및 역할이 불명확하여 정부의 예산지원이나 수수료 등의 징수 근거로 한계가 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 도로교통안전진단, 시설물안전진단, 환경영향평가 등 유사제도의 전문기관 운영현황을 분석한 결과, 법에서 전문기관의 존재 및 역할을 명확히 규정하여 정부의 예산지원이나 수수료 등 징수근거가 명확한 상태에서 전문기관의 역할을 수행하고 있으며, 담당 공무원의 업무 연속성 및 전문성 부재로 제도의 효율적 운영을 위해서는 전문기관의 역할 및 권한 확대와 더불어 진단기술관련 역량 강화를 통해 전문성 향상이 필요한 것으로 조사되었다. 향후과제로 안정적인 전문기관의 역할 수행을 위해 관련법령을 정비하여 전문기관의 설립 및 업무 위탁을 명확히 규정할 필요가 있다.

This study was carried out to propose some useful advices for the improvement policy of the minor rural roads. For the detailed case studies on structural improvement level of the minor rural roads, 5 county areas in Chonnam Province were selected ; Damyang (peri-urban), Gurye(remoter mountainous), Jindo(remotest island), Yuongam(intermediate flat) and Bosung (intermediate semi-mountainous). In each county, the official survey data on pavement types, widths and ratios of district(Myun in Korean) and parish(Ri in Korean) roads were collected. There were no apparent differences between district and parish roads in terms of structural improvement level, while the former was ranked higher than the latter in the minor rural road improvement law, so, the present hierarchial classification system of rural roads should be readjusted. And above a third of minor rural roads in the case study areas did not meet the statutory minimum level of road width, which means the necessity of substantial upgrade of road improvement works in rural areas.

The system needs to be modified to improve the performance of the aircraft in operation or to satisfy the requirements of related laws. Appropriate standards are required for the technical skills for remodeling the aircraft system, design verification for airworthiness of the aircraft, and supplemental type certification (STC) certification procedures for type certification. This study analyzes the current status and demand of domestic aircraft remodeling, examines the current supplementary type certification procedure, and diagnoses the problem. In addition, as a result of researching measures to improve remodeling technology and certification capabilities to extend the life of the aircraft, improvements in the education system were derived to improve the domestic additional type certification process, such as approval of remodeling agencies and appointment of qualifications for each professional technician.

Plan of Logistics facility and Management of Freight trucks need for Efficient Improvement of Urban Goods Movement. For this, it need to clear flow pattern of Freight volumes and Freight trucks on urban space. Therefor, The purpose of this study is to clear space flow pattern of Freight volumes and Freight trucks as base data for Plan of Urban Goods Movement on Incheon city. Incheon city is selected because it is at sea & air ports and carries out various Activity of Urban Goods Movement. As the result of this study, it understands and analyzes Characteristic on flow pattern of Freight volumes and Freight trucks. Through this study, we'll expect that this results could be contributed in the understand of actual conditions of Freight volume and freight trucks and the basic data for Improvement of urban goods movement and the management policy of freight trucks in urban goods movement.

Maintenance on the water chamber of steam generator during outage in nuclear power plants (NPPs) has a likelihood of high radiation exposure to whole body of workers even short time period due to the high radiation exposure rates. In particular, it is expected that hands would receive the highest radiation exposure because of its contact with radiation materials. In this study, characteristic analysis of inhomogeneous radiation fields for contact operations was conducted using thermoluminescent dosimeter (TLD) readouts from the application tests of two-dosimeter algorithm to Korean NPPs in 2004. It is regarded that inhomogeneous radiation fields for contact operations in NPPs are dominated by high energy photons. In addition, field tests for workers who participated in maintenance on the steam generator during outage at Ulchin NPPs in 2009 and pressure tube replacement at Wolsong NPPs in 2009 were conducted to analyze radiation fields and to estimate the extremity dose. As a result, radiation fields were dominated by high energy photons.
