The hub and spoke network is a critical network-based infrastructure that is widely applied in current transportation and telecommunications systems, including Internets, air transportation networks and highway systems. This main idea of hub location models is to construct a network system which achieves the economy of scale of flows. The main purpose of this study is to introduce new hub location problems that take into account network reliability. Two standard models based on assignment schemes are proposed, and a minimum threshold model is provided as an extension in terms of hub network design. The reliability and interaction potentials of 15 nodes in the U.S. are used to examine model behaviors. According to the type of models and reliability, hubs, and minimum threshold levels, relationships among the flow economy of scale, network costs, and network resiliency are analyzed.

본 논문에서는 유선 인터넷상에서 소규모 여러 인터넷 상점들이 정보를 공유하고, 통합된 서비스를 제공함으로써 고객의 인지도를 높이기 위한 방법으로 등장한 기존의 허브(Hub)사이트와 모바일(Mobile) 인터넷이 결합된 M-Commerce 환경에서 고객에게 실시간으로 개인화된 맞춤 정보를 제공하기 위한 기법을 제안한다.

With increase in oil demand owing to economic growth in Northeast Asia, the establishment of an oil hub in Korea is recently considered by policy and academic circles. This paper aims to suggest strategic schemes on the establishment of Korea's oil hub in Northeast Asia by comparing Korea's conditions as an oil logistics hub with Singapore which has been an oil hub in East Asia until recent year. Quantitative and qualitative analysis methods were employed in order to examine the competitiveness of Korea's oil hub. This research concludes that Korea is very competitive as an oil logistics hub in Northeast Asia, but so much improvements for realizing the project are necessary such as expansion of storage facilities for oil, institutional instruments for facilitating oil logistics and trading and preparation for incentive schemes on foreign investments in oil and its related industries.

문자메시지 네트워크는 웹페이지 검색네트워크와는 위상적으로 많이 다르기 때문에 상이한 특성을 가지고 있음을 보였다. 네트워크가 성장함에 따라 강력한 허브를 구성하는 네트워크는 소수의 노드에 연결이 집중되는 특성을 가질 수 있다. 문자메시지 네트워크는 시간이 흐름에 따라서 네트워크의 밀도가 높아지는 속도가 높다는 특징을 가지고 있다. 두 개의 크기가 다른 문자메시지 네트워크에 대한 실험을 통하여 적어도 작은 집단 내의 메시지네트워크는 크기가 증가함에 따라서 허브의 집중도가 power law분포가 아닌 선형적인 특징을 가지고 있음을 보였다.

본 논문은 "PBTI"라 명명한 웹사이트를 설계하고 구현한다. 요즘 유행하는 성격 유형 설문조사인 MBTI에서 영감을 받아 피부타입과 퍼스널 컬러를 검사할 수 있는 온라인 쇼핑몰 웹사이트를 제작하게 되었다. 체계적이고 다양한 질문을 통해 사용자들의 피부타입을 검사하고 해당 피부타입 결과에 따른 상품을 추천해주는 알고리즘이 탑재되어 사용자에 맞는 상품을 추천해준다. PBTI의 이러한 기능들은 다른 온라인 뷰티쇼핑몰과 극명한 차별점을 만들고, 쇼핑몰 매출을 크게 증대시킬 것으로 기대한다. 데이터베이스를 구축하기 위해 오라클을 이용하였고, 웹페이지를 구현하기 위해 스프링을 이용하였으며 팀원들과의 협업을 위해 깃허브를 사용하였다.

The present study explored types of Twitter-mediated communication and emotional responses of Twitter users toward celebrities. Three perspectives of para-social interactions, information hub, and fandom were proposed as communication types on Twitter. Celebrities were classified by entertainer, politician, specialist, and blogger. Communication patterns according to each category of celebrities were analyzed. The patterns of emotional responses, which represents the use of emoticons and emotional expressions were also analyzed. The results show that the type of para-social interactions was frequently accepted for the interactions with politicians and specialists, while fandom style was salient for the entertainers. For the power bloggers, the users tend to adopt the type of information hub interaction. The use of emotions and emotional expressions were most frequent in case of fandom style communication and the messages to the entertainers. Implications were further discussed.

We initially obtained human diseases-related proteins dataset from the OMIM and the SWISS PROT and then constructed disease-related protein-protein interaction network. The protein network contains 40 hub proteins such as CALM1, ACTB and ABL2. The protein network can be derived the map of the relationship between different disease proteins, denoted disease interaction network. We demonstrate that the associations between diseases are directly correlated to their underlying protein-protein interaction networks. From constructed the disease-protein bipartite network, we derived 38 diseasomal proteins, including APP, ABL1 and STAT1. We previously demonstrated that hub proteins in the network tend to be diseasomal proteins in the disease-related protein sub-networks. However, we found that 18% hubs are only diseasomal proteins in the whole disease network. At this point, we could not elucidate difference in the hub-diseasomal proteins tendency between sub0network and whole network. In spite of we still have unsolved problems, our results elucidate that the discovery of protein interaction networks assigned by diseases will provide insight into the underlying molecular mechanisms and biological processes in complex human disease system.

Through analytical method based on S-76 model, the level of rotor hub vibration reduction was analyzed according to higher harmonic actuating by individual blade control. The higher harmonic actuating method for individual blades was divided into a method of generating an additional actuating force from the pitch-link in the rotating part and generating actuating force through the active trailing edge flap control of the blade. In the 100kts forward flight conditions, the hub load analysis was performed by changing the phase angle of 15 degree for the 2P/3P/4P/5P harmonic actuation for individual blades. Through the harmonic actuation results, the sensitivity of the rotor system according to the actuating conditions was analyzed, and the T-matrix representing the characteristics of the rotor system was derived based on this analysis result. And through this T-matrix, optimal higher harmonic actuating condition was derived to minimize hub vibration level for flight condition. In addition, the effect on the performance of the rotor system and the pitch-link load under minimum hub vibration condition, as well as the noise influence through the noise analysis were confirmed.

For efficient searching in unstructured peer-to-peer systems, random walk was proposed and several replication methods have been studied to compensate for the random walk's low query success rate. This paper proposes an efficient replication scheme that improves the accuracy and speed of queries and reduces the cost by minimizing the number of replicas and by utilizing caches. In this scheme, hub nodes store only content's caches, and one of their neighbors stores the replica. By determining hubs with only limited and local information, we can adaptively generate caches and replicas in dynamic peer-to-peer networks.
