본고는 이화여대 법정대학이 주최한 학술발표회 "국제화 시대에서 한국경제의 생존전략은 무엇인가?"의 제3주제 "무한경쟁시대의 기업경영전략"의 발표를 위하여 작성되었다. 본고에서는 경영전략의 주체인 "기업"의 의미와 경영전략이 추구하는 "경쟁력"의 의미, 그리고 이들의 기반인 "시대적 환경"의 특성을 고찰한 다음에 경쟁력 강화를 위한 "경영전략"을 제시한다.

한국정보산업연합회에서는 '96년 1월 30일 전경련회관 3층 대회의실에서 올해의 정보화 추진 및 정보산업 육성정책 내용과 이와 관련한 장 단 기 정책방향에 관한 설명을 청취하고 이에 대한 업계의 의견을 개진하면서 기업의 사업방향과 대 정부 협조방안을 모색하는 기회를 마련하였다. '96년도 각 부처별 정보화 정책과 정보산업육성시책을 종합적으로 파악할 수 있으며 또한 자사의 사업수립과 경영활동에 큰 도움이 될 것으로 보며, 본고에서는 정보화 정책 포럼(정보통신부, 초고속정보통신망구축기획단, 교육부, 국방부, 건설교통부, 총무처, 통상산업부 내무부) 내용중 '96년도 사업계획을 발췌하여 게재하였다.

This study designed model that could scientifically and objectively evaluate a level of informatization of construction companies in consideration of informatization characteristics and limitations identified in researches related to the evaluation of informatization level of construction companies, so at to create the e-business environment for the construction companies including the enhancement of informatization consciousness and to improve capacity to carry out informatization. To do this, the study defined requirements to develop new model of construction informatization level and the characteristics of construction companies, and developed components of informatization level model and measuring methods that could meet the requirements based on theories and literature. The developed informatization level model were reviewed for validity and reliability through statistical method by carrying out the questionnaire survey on 200 companies along with an advisory group of experts. As the result of this study, we could suggest the directions for informatization to narrow the gap between the current level of informatization and the managerial goals in construction company.

Despite growing interest and attention from researchers and practitioners in management studies, empirical research has been limited on how factors that influence an organization's business performance are affected by certain characteristics of enterprise information systems (IS), such as maturity and infrastructure. This study reports on an empirical analysis of survey data to identify relationships among the informatization level, the business environment, and IS maturity and infrastructure related to business performance-based on financial and non-financial performance measurements-from the perspective of 136 Taiwan firms. The survey questionnaire respondents were drawn from individuals in each of these firms who were typically working in divisions related to business performance functions. Structural equation modeling was used to test the hypotheses that came from the research model in this study.

In this study, we developed the web-based system evaluating the construction information level considering the characteristic of business of the construction company. According to the business, if a construction company answer to the information evaluation questions and inputs its information goal, the web-based system provides the construction information score and the comparative report to the result of companies which are the similar business type and scale. Moreover this system presents the information strategy to achieve company's information goal based on the present information level. This study will enable to a construction company to improve the level of IT in the construction industry and to increase IT investments.

회지 창간에 즈음하여, 우리 연구회의 특별회원사 탐방 대상으로 한국전기통사(약칭 : 한국통신)을 택하였다. "정보.통신.인간의 융화"를 기업이념으로 표방하고 있으며 직원 6만여명에 년간 매출액 5조원이 넘는 국민 기업 "한국전기통신공사"는 곧 주식개방을 목전에 두고 있다. 마침 이 거대조직의 살림을 꾸려나가야하고 정보화 사회의 중추에 해당하는 국가 기간통신망의 구축과 운용을 책임져야하는 사장직에 새로 부임한 조백제 사장과 진용옥 이사(경희대 전파공학과 교수)가 만나 새로운 경영에 임하는 자세와 포부및 정보사회에서의 한국통신의 역할과 경영전략 등에 대하여 대담을 진행한 바있다. 이 자리에서 조사장은 "경영사고의 민영화" "공생의 복지" "첨단 인재의 발굴" "전략적 정보통신 기술개발" 등을 새로운 경영 목표로 내세우고 있으며, 21세기 정보화시대의 주도적 역할을 담당하기 위한 구체적인 청사진과 포부를 역설한바 있다. 대담을 같이한 진용옥 이사는 당시 한국통신의 비상임 이사였으며 정보통신공학 전공이다. 우리연구회가 구성하여 수행한 위성통신법(안) 연구검토위원회 위원장직을 맡아 성공적으로 활동한 바 있고, 경희대학교 부설 정보시스템공학 연구소장직을 맡고 있으며 통신정책 연구에도 활발한 활동을 하고 있다.
