Digital image forgery is becoming a topic of great interest with regard to honesty in imaging. We can often see forged digital images in a variety of places, such as the internet, and magazines, and in images used in political ads, etc. These can reduce the reliability and factual basis of the information contained in image. Therefore, objectivity is needed to determine if the image is forged so as to prevent confusion in the viewing public. Most digital forgeries consist of image resizing, rotating including the following interpolations. To find evidence of interpolation in forged images, this paper proposes a new method for detecting digital image forgery using general interpolation factors analyzed through re-interpolation algorithm of the forged images in order to determine the differences in the patterns. Through the re-interpolation algorithm we could detect the forged region and filtering region used image retouching included to interpolation.

As the competition among the hospital becomes heavier and cognition in patient's right of knowledge increases, of general hospital becomes more important public relation part of hospital administration. Due to the restriction of the public advertisement of a hospital, strategic plans and new ideas are needed. Leaflet or hospital publication, for example, could be excellent publicity materials since they provide specific and detailed information for patients, which results in great improvement on the hospital image. Therefore, the editorial design for hospital publicity is the necessary research field. Also questionnaires of user's sense regarding the Hospital's printed matter for the publicity were conducted and analyzed. From these analyses, new improved printed matter design for the publicity of general hospital that are useful for the users as well as hospital competition was suggested.

Because EPON access network shares a medium and aggregates the traffic from EPON subscribers, scheduling media access control on EPON bandwidth allocation is very important. Furthermore DBA mechanism of EPON based on TDMA is out of specification and up to implementation. This paper deals with a DBA method to guarantee the QoS of the delay sensitive traffic on the base of best-effort service and delay priority queue management. The proposed method performs virtual scheduling algorithm for the integrated traffic. It uses the same MAC messages and tries to guarantee the QoS of higher priority traffic first with a simple DBA architecture. We evaluate the algorithm for traffic delay according to polling interval and traffic load of upstream and downstream. The results show that the proposed method can guarantee the QoS of the delay sensitive traffic with priority of the service classes.

Multicast-based data communication is an efficient communication scheme in wireless networks where the Media Access Control (MAC) layer is based on one-hop broadcast from one source to multiple receivers. Compared with unicast, multicast over wireless channel should handle varying channel conditions of multiple users and user mobility to achieve good quality for all users. However, IEEE 802.11 does not support reliable multicast due to its inability to exchange RTS/CTS and ACK with multiple recipients. Thus, several MAC layer protocols have been proposed to provide reliable multicast. For the reliable multicast, an additional overhead is introduced and it degrades the system performance. In this paper, we propose a cross-layer design to reduce the control overhead for reliable multicast in OFDMA systems. We present an analytical formulation of the system throughput associated with the overhead.

Due to the of evolution of digital technology, trends are moving toward personalization and customization in design (art), media, science. Existing mass media has been broadcasting to the general public due to technical and economic limitation and art works also communicate one-sidedly with spectators in the gallery or stage. But nowaday, it is possible for spectators to participate directly. We can make different products depending on the tastes of individuals who demand media or art. The essence of technology which makes it possible is 'interactive technology'. A goal of this research is to find out the true nature of the interactive design in multimedia contents and find the course of interactive communication design research. In this paper, we pass through two stages to solve this kind of problem. At first, we studied the concept of multimedia contents from the aspect of information revolution. Next, we decided our research topic to be 'visual reacting with audio' and made audio-visual art work as graphic designers. Through this research we can find the possibility to promote 'communication' in a broad sense, with appropriate interactive design.

The explosive growth of the Internet and the increasing popularity of the World Wide Web have generated significant interest in the development of electronic commerce in a global online marketplace. The rapid adoption of the Internet as a commercial medium is rapidly expanding the necessity of Web advertisement as a new communication channel. if proper Web advertisement could be suggested to the right user, then effectiveness of Web advertisement will be raised and it will help company to earn more profit. So, this article describes a personalized advertisement technique as a part of intelligent customer services for an electronic newspaper provide. Based on customers history of navigation on the electronic newspapers pages, which are divided into several sections such as politics, economics, sports, culture, and so on, appropriate advertisements (especially, banner ads) are chosen and displayed with the aid of machine learning techniques, when customers visit to the site. To verify feasibility of the technique, an application will be made to one of the most popular e-newspaper publishing company in Korea.

The public mostly get the information regarding real estate policy not from the press release of the government but from news articles. This type of information, though, might be delivered in a different frame depending on inclination of media or press. The media runs the articles within its own frame, so that it often conveys either expectation or concern depending on its inclination. This study analyzed the articles regarding 'Agreement to revise three major real estate regulations to perk up property market' and examined how the real estate policy imprinted in them depending on the disposition of the press. The results showed that the conservative press ran articles within a positive frame expressing favorable expectation. On the other hand, progressive press mostly kept neutral or unfavorable tone on the same regulations within the negative frame. Therefore, it was confirmed that there exist different frames within articles depending on their disposition.

The dissemination of scientific information in Society involves interactions among a number of publics and many kinds of information channels. There is a need for examining the the entire process of information dissemination for the solving many problems which scientific many problems which scientific communication is now confronted with, This paper is an attempt to identify the functions of a scientific journal as one of major inf. transfer media, to clarify the problems in performing the functions, and to synthesize various on-going efforts toward the improvement and solution of such problems. Some conclusions derived from this study are as follows; (1) a scientific journal was, is and will be the valuable primary source for the recording and controlling scientific in formation which plays a role as a main energy source in the scientific activities. (2) Traditional built-in delays involved in the communication by a scientific journal should be improved by way of some new methods and techniques such as, of establishing a publishing center, controlling vocabularies in the scientific papers, distributing pre-publication materials, etc. (3) There should be a organized special committe for scientific communication for the assuming the responsibilities of educating, planning and carrying out activities relating to scientific information. (4) To improve the function of a scientific journal as information transfer media, other informal primary media such as report, preprint, etc, and secondary media such as abstracts and indexes should be studied which will result in the clarification of unigue functions, and advantages and disadvantages of each media. as an information dissemination media. (5) Each government should pay attention to the national information system as a changing social system and should recognize the gap in speed between technological development and the change of a social system Technological development should be made a contribution to the improvement of social system.

As the digital technology has improved, the numbers of Hangul font users have increased and their individual needs and taste are diversified. Therefore new and various Hangul fonts out of traditional form are developed and used. But under the present font classification system, it is hard to compare and analyze these various fonts. And the present classification system is hard to be the font user's guide for proper use of various Hangul fonts. For the better use of Hangul font, to diversify the font classification system is needed. So we propose the development of these thru classification standards. First, structural classification based on the structural character of Hangul. Second, image classification based on the visual images of each font. And third, usage classification based on the fonts proper usage in various media. For the development of various typographically balanced fonts and for the suitable and effective use of the various font, we must try to build the font classification system based on the diversified classification standards and build Hangul font database based on this classification system. Through these studies, we can expect the development of good quality fonts and the better use of these fonts.

This thesis is about power line communication(PLC) over the low voltage grid. The main advantage with power line communication is the use of an existing infrastructure. The PLC channel can be modeled as having multi-path propagation with frequency-selective fading, typical power lines exhibit signal attenuation increasing with length and frequency. OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) is a modulation technique where multiple low data rate carriers are combined by a transmitter to form a composite high data rate transmission. To implement the multiple carrier scheme using a bank of parallel modulators would not be very efficient in analog hardware. Each carrier in an OFDM is a sinusoid with a frequency that is an integer multiple of a base or fundamental sinusoid frequency. Therefore, each carrier is a like a Fourier series component of the composite signal. In fact, it will be shown later that an OFDM signal is created in the frequency domain, and then transformed into the time domain via the Discrete Fourier Transform(DFT).
