As Internet usages proliferate, the interests on cyber space and virtual community increase. The purpose of this study is to find the role of cognitive absorption as an intermediate variable. It is a variable that links factors that affect on members' usage of virtual community and cognitive absorption. The result of this study shows that challenges, skills, perceived reality, and needs affect the usage of virtual community through cognitive absorption, while only interactivity affects the usage of virtual community directly. This shows that cognitive absorption plays an important role in the usage of virtual community. The major contribution in this study is that cognitive absorption influences on the usage of virtual community greatly. If there is a way to increase the intensity of cognitive absorption, it will strongly help increase the performance of virtual community.

Community creates, receives and preserves the records, which made the community members and the entire society remember their history. As for community archives, archival appraisal is very political activity because appraisal of community records means whose memory remain alive in history. This study aims to analyze archival appraisal theories from the perspective of community and community archives, and suggest appraisal model for community archives. This study begins with examining the meaning of community archives and appraisal related issues including; i) community identity and independence of archives, ii) struggle of memory and multiple narratives, iii) uniqueness of each community and its archives, and iv) community archives as memory process and social inclusion. At the next stage, it deals with the archival theories from Schellenberg's archival values theory to macro-appraisal, to investigate possible application of theories for community records appraisal. It finds that the societal approach of macro-appraisal have advantage to appraise the community records. This study finally suggests the appraisal model for community archives by modifying the macro-appraisal components as well as by complying the principles of community archives. The model consists of the purpose and object of appraisal, principle and basis of valuation, and cooperation model between mainstream repository and community.

소셜 네트워크 서비스와 모바일 단말의 보급이 증가함에 따라 사용자들은 커뮤니티를 형성하고 이를 통하여 즉시적으로 문제(Needs) 해결에 필요한 사용자들간의 경험 정보를 공유하고자 한다. 기존의 커뮤니티들은 특정 의도로 형성된 공동체로써 사용자의 위치 및 사회적 관계 보다는 단순히 카폐 개념의 공동체를 형성한다. 사용자의 위치가 변경됨에 따라 원하는 정보를 제공하는 방법에 있어 사용자의 장소/사회적 관계를 고려하여 즉시적으로 필요한 커뮤니티를 추천 검색하거나 신규 커뮤니티를 생성하여 사용자들의 참여를 통한 정보 공유 및 사용자 위치에서 발생되는 여러 이벤트를 수집할 수 있는 소셜 레이더 기능이 필요하다. 또한 형성된 공동체를 통하여 서비스 실행에 필요한 실행환경을 공유하여 소셜 네트워크 서비스를 제공받고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 사용자가 존재하는 공간 내에서 서로 공유될 수 있는 정보를 추적/검색/추천/공유할 수 있는 사용자 위치 기반 소셜 레이더 관리 시스템에 관한 구성 방법을 제공한다.

프로그래밍 언어 교육은 컴퓨터 분야의 필수 과목으로 교육되고 있으나 교수자와 학습자에게 가장 어려운 과목으로 인식되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 명지전문대학에서 시행하고 있는 튜터링 제도를 프로그래밍 언어 수업에 적용하여 학습공동체(피어 튜터링)를 활용한 학습 지원 프로그램을 프로그래밍 언어 교육에 적용한 사례를 제시하고 학습자에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 학습 공동체 프로그램의 참여는 자발적으로 이루어졌으며. 활용 결과 학습자들의 성적이 단기간의 프로그램 참여로 많이 향상되지는 않았지만 튜터와 튜티 모두 프로그래밍 과목에 대한 흥미가 유발되고, 수업 참여도가 높아졌으며, 참여하지 않은 그룹과 비교하여 탈락자 감소에는 도움이 되었던 것으로 판단된다.

Urban communities have been recently highlighted as an alternative idea in the field of urban regeneration, social economy and so on. Urban communities should not be understood as an ideal, but the way urban communities work in reality also should be analysed. This paper aims to find out what urban communities really mean and who are involved in urban communities. The paper explores the features and issues of unban communities by surveying residents in Ansim area, Dong-gu, Daegu city. The paper analyses the relation between participation and community features: residents' socio-economic features, residence features, social relationship with their neighbours and the sense of community. The survey outcome shows that middle income, higher educated residents living in apartment complex are relatively more involved in community activities. Moreover, those who have more relationship with their neighbours have participated in community activities more than those who do not have any. As a consequence, this paper carefully states that the urban community is middle class-oriented and such feature could cause other residents' limited opportunities to access information about their own community and lead to social exclusion. This paper suggests that urban community groups need 'soft solidarity' between social classes.

This study is to demonstrate that public libraries help community to become an active 'Community of Practice(CoP)'. In order to prove this hypothesis, 'Libraries Transforming Communities(LTC)' initiative of American Library Association is analyzed. Public libraries participating in LTC program solved problems of communities through making CoPs by librarians as a catalyst. People's recognition about public libraries is altered by the problem-solving practice. The followings are 4-level transforming relationship model of public library and community: Leadership Development for Librarian CoPs; Librarian CoPs for improving library services; Community CoPs with library for solving problems; Community as CoP.

Librarians facing the new information environment need to actively cope with knowledge and skills, but librarians in outsourced public libraries are burdened with participation in external education due to concerns about work gaps or inadequate institutional support, making it difficult to continue their education. Therefore, in this study, in order to create an environment in which librarians can grow together, the current status of the activities of the learning community was checked and the effects were identified. An online survey was conducted from May 20 to 22, 2023, targeting librarians who had participated in learning community activities among librarians belonging to the Gangnam-gu Library, and 101 copies were distributed to collect 81 copies and use them as analysis data. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that librarians are satisfied with the activities of the learning community and have a high level of understanding and empathy for their necessity. Therefore, as a way to revitalize the learning community, we propose to form a culture that promotes collaboration among members, share visions and values for learning community activities, and provide institutional support.

본 연구는 마케팅학계의 전자적 학술공동체의 구축가능성을 타진하고 선진국의 전자적 학술공동체와 비교하여 우리 학계의 세계화의 한 수단으로서의 가능성을 모색하고자 하였다. 연결마케팅공동체는 다양한 이해관계를 가진 참가자들의 관계로서 이루어지고 있으며, 이들간의 모든 관계는 동시적, 상호작용적으로 이루어진다. 우리 학계의 경쟁력을 확보하기 위해서는 연결마케팅 패러다임을 바탕으로 한 가상 마케팅(Virtual Marketing)의 도입이 필수적이며, 우리 학계의 경쟁력의 원천은 이를 통한 연결의 이익을 확보하는데 있다. 전자적 학술공동체는 기존 학계와 보완적 관계를 가질 뿐만 아니라 정보기술에 의한 연결의 질의 심화와 연결의 장의 확대라는 연결의 이익을 확보할 수 있다. 성공적인 전자적 학술공동체의 구축을 위해서는 공동체 조직자의 역할이 매우 중요하며 참여자들의 참여도가 필수적이다.

This study explored the low-income mothers' view about the child rearing community, "Love of Children". The child rearing community, "Love of Children", was formed by the members who participated in Seesawswing parenting education since 2009. The participants of this study were 14 members of "love of Children" out of 51. Using content analysis, the data were analyzed. The results were as follows. First, mothers in the child rearing community, "Love of Children" were proud of graduating from Seesaw swing parenting education. The sense of accomplishment made them continuously participate in the child rearing community. Second, the members of the child rearing community, "Love of Children", did several activities, such as getting-along, sharing information, serving children and mothers in thelocal community, and learning about child caring. Third, mothers in the child rearing community, "Love of Children", thought that this group gave them opportunities to think reflectively about themselves and to experience meeting with others. Also, they thought that it gave them a sense of empowerment.

The rapid development of Information technology and the Internet has brought about a new phase like building cyber communities in Apartment residential space. This study empirically considers the possibility and limit of cyber communities based on apartment residential space through analysing apartment Internet home pages. The analysing results show us the fact that apartment cyber communities are less satisfied than theoretical expectation. However, they have some possibilities as on-line communities. First of all, the most important factor is off-line community activities in realizing the possibility of cyber community at least in apartment residential space.
